  1. I think it's an insurance against a looming transfer ban
  2. Hi OFAG I disagree that it is not acceptable to abuse people in football stadiums, guarantee you go to any match anywhere in the World and it happens, always has done. Take that away and it's another erosion of what makes our game great. Most fans give and take, and it is banter. Yes it is not acceptable to be racist towards someone regarding their ethnicity and/or colour. and this is thankfully almost totally eradicated in this country. This is different from rivalrous chanting, stuff that is not racist/homophobic. but that a few people might find offensive.
  3. ''Do Jewish people want to claim the y word in the same way? I don't know'' Well Sp*rs fans seem to want to. 'Yid Army, We're Yids n Proud' etc It's interesting seeing the World Jewish Forum and Board of Deputies being challenged by a Jewish Sp*rs supporting Emeritus Professor at Canterbury University saying the opposite. I think he's against people feeling the need to take offence on behalf of other people nowadays, and defending the right to be offensive.
  4. It's a shame the FA cup has now become so second rate like the Carabao. It was once Englands most prestigious competition. It's down to TV money and all the World wanting to watch English football. A club now gets £3m for winning the FA Cup, but staying in the Premier League is worth £100m -so you can understand relegation threatened clubs playing a weakened team. Leicester on the other hand should be ashamed and apologise to their fans, not getting relegated, cups about the only thing left and yet -such a weakened team against Newport. They should inform the travelling fans that have paid good money before they have to travel.
  5. 'Proud Yiddo' says otherwise https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/01/07/may-the-yid-army-march-on-forever/

  7. I think with the current injuries there are opportunities for him that will put him in the spotlight, and against Sp*rs it will be a stern test. It also makes it easier for the board to decide whether to accept the 30m or whatever. Hope he does well (assuming he gets playing time tomorrow) either way it's a win win for his agent -who I think is Willian as of last week !
  8. People forget the pro-active decisions and demands of players are by and large by their agents for financial gain With Hudson-Odoi it’s naïve if he or anyone thinks he’d go and play regularly for a Bayern team that still consistently plays proper old timers like Ribéry and Robben over other younger options. Getting rid of two experienced internationals in order to make sure a kid who’s just turned 18 plays every single match for a club with CL aspirations, would be lunacy. No top club would ever do such a thing unless the kid in question was Messi and Hudson-Odoi is not Messi.
  9. What was striking last time we played them was the difference in fitness. We need to raise our game like against Citeh, and thank god for Kante - you don't realise what you have till it's gone.
  10. So much paper talk -just read that Cavani is being brought from PSG - best not to take any of it seriously till a contracts signed
  11. Chelsea fan just rung in 606 and said he's not had as many assists as Salah, but his scoring rate this season is one every 139 minutes, whilst the diminutive Egyptians being one every 149 minutes.
  12. Bonkers aint it. He's allegedly been told Pedro and Willian are ahead of him -well offload one of 'em then ! If I had to be negative of Hudson -Odoi it would be his lack of clinical finishing -that, however can be finely tuned on the training ground-something that Bayern are aware of though we're not
  13. Yeah I think you'll find managers agents' (Zahavi in Joses case) demand a long contract -they wouldn't sign for a season and a bit (which seems our average). So they know they'll be getting the elbow, but a fat wedge in compensation as well. Yeah striker is paramount -we'll probably get one and Sarri wont know anything about it
  14. It's mad in some ways- makes you think there would never be another 'Class of 92' able to be nurtured I'm fairly cool about it now at SW6 though - look in the silverware cabinet....
  15. Got a couple of Serbian mates-they lived under the old Eastern Europe and say '' it is ze Russsian way''
  16. Yeah 31 actual appointments since old big 'ead -some were reappointments. Point is managers are just another employee, sacked easily nowadays.
  17. Seems as though managers are as disposable as players nowadays. They were talking about Forest. Clough was there 18 years - they had 15 managers before him in 130 years, 18 since he left...
  18. Waiting for the fantastic Vesper and her links.
  19. It's when things like that are said you know he's on borrowed time...
  20. That means it's relevant Oh this'll be good -show me the quote of Sarri saying ''Moses is shit'' ?
