Yes I see your point - though the Community Shield to me is a great curtain raiser to the season, and all the money goes to charity. Basically the current proposal is an unashamed power grab by those clubs with the most money, taking advantage of the Covid situation in that so many clubs are struggling, and laughs in the face of democracy.
