Come on, Lukaku was not ready, it's that simple. You all bash Torres but at Liverpool, Torres struggled against the lower teams because they would sit back, it's the same at Chelsea. Lukaku is even worse. It's not because in WBA team that sits deep and where many teams leave a lot of space, that scoring goals means that he improved a lot. I have the same critics with our summer spending but not how we dealt with Lukaku.

The exact quote: Hazard était en forme, mais a ressenti une ancienne blessure au tendon d'Achille. Il a reçu quelques injections il y a quelques semaines pour soigner cette blessure. J'étais donc très surpris. Hazard was in form but he feeled pain in an old achilles problem. He received some injections some weeks ago to heal that injury. It's what worries me with Eden, I don't believe like some that he was made of steel because he played nearly every game for the last three four years. It's easy to tell when he is 100% and when he has some knocks, bruises as the way he moves is totally different. When he is 100% he's a lot smoother.

It's easy to understand why we don't want to loan him at WBA. WBA sits deep and play conter-attack, a basic system of play. Everton is a team that plays possession football, more intricate system with passing and coordinated movements between players being the key. It's what Lukaku lacks. He needs to develop a better football iq.

I think putting Azpi as right back and Ivanovic as third centre-back would have been better.
-
Well they play with Dembele Chadli, add to that Capoue and Paulino, it's just strong lads with no real flair.
-
No, I talk of top european teams.
-
Ok but for a team with a status like us, it's weird to not see very good deep midfielders that could compete with other midfielders from top team. No other top team would want our deeper midfielders.
-
And he plays for Arsenal. If you are a little bit injury prone, at Arsenal you will be injured every three weeks
-
I guess, shooting at every opportunity and not passing the ball
-
Manchester united are the darling of the fa. I've read a stat where the matchs where United were losing were those with the most added minutes. On the other hand, when Chelsea were losing, we were the team with the less added minutes.
-
I still don't understand how we have not replaced Makele Ballack in our midfield. We have no midfielders as good (far from it) in our squad to play as the two deeper midfielders.
-
I don't understand it. I would prefer a very good defensive midfielder.
-
Well, it's just a loan. Not many would pay 3 millions for a loan fee without buy-in clause.
-
With Schurrle in, He would have been played very little. Schurrle as we have seen can play on the right (my biggest interrogation) and I think will even be best suited on the right as he has the pace and workrate and can cross. With Hazard on the left who is more a creative player and draws player, it will leave space on the right for the running engine of Schurrle. Like Gervinho at Lille but much more effective.
-
Azpi with Marseille was doing a great job against him two years ago. But he's not that great at defending crosses, I think that's why Mourinho prefers him as his teams defends with a narrow defense and let the other team cross quite a lot.
-
His biggest mystake was to push Gotze towards Ramires. Other wise, Gotze would have walk out of the challenge and not be in Ramires way.
-
There was no luck in Neueur knowing where the ball would go. Just look at his long slow last step and how he arm his shot, it way to slow. If you go slowly in your run-in, at least take smaller steps and angle yourself to being able to shoot at either direction.
-
And if we could add De Rossi, it would be scarier as he's a proper defensive midfielder that can pick a pass, and insert in the line of defense when needed very well.
-
It will depend on how Lamela and Eriksen will perform. Especially Lamela. They have good players but not many that can unlock things by their passing, runs, taking on players.
-
That doesn't surprise me. He's a typical Mourinho player and he's very suited to the fast counters.
-
He wouldn't fit at Arsenal I think. I don't see how Arsenal could play Mata and Cazorla without being murdered on the counters. He would have fit better at Tottenham with their midfield that are quite strong but not very creative.
-
I prefered playing the futsal than Football. Especially when I was over 12 as our coaches was awful, central defenders very shit technically and always kicking long balls to nowhere. Shielding the ball back to goal, little quick one touch passes. I was playing either as forward, for the back to goal and runs from deep or goalkeeper. Goalkeeping was fun, as my friends were playing high pressing and i was half goalkeeper, half sweeper, closing the guy most forward, limiting a turn to the side other players were running and gaining some time for the tracking back of others.
-
He was still only at 80% for me. Still missing the 20 % of huge burst of pace on the first 10 yards when he's at 100%
-
The biggest one when we outnumbered them was when Torres shooted while Hazard was alone on the left.
-
No. It's just that he doesn't fit. The players must run into space or can run quite fast with the ball in the counter and Mata is not able to do that. That's not the football I enjoy.
