  1. And off we go ... This is exactly it, really. And this is a choice Mou is making - either you change your system or you change the players. It is really clear what it will be. I don't now if I like it though. If it works it can be good - fast, direct, compact play with good flanks and defensively sound but now it just shows we aren't there in a long shot. And then it is ugly to see imo.
  2. Wel Oscar, ok! But Kevin actually layed in attacking pivot role and I personally think he is good at it - even with to potential to be better there than on the flanks. So it is really not a FIFA thing, it is just that a lot on here haven't seen him play there and think it would be a mistake. Imo he could take the role Lamps now has (so he doesn't have to play all the games). On the Mata Oscar subject I will refrain from commenting because I don't like the question, especially with the 'versus'. Mta is great, Oscar is great - they have a different skill set and can be used accordingly. If one doesn't fit in the system - that is very well possible. Mou indeed expects a 10 to drop deep and that real is Oscars game. If it is more operating between the lines of the final third - then Mata (when confident/fit) is simply class. It is all about choices really and NOT about who is best. I compare it to evolutionary adaptations really: organisms are adapted for a certain ecosystem, so they thrive in that ecosystem (e.g.. the elephant ears to cool the animal down). however, put an ice bear in Central Africa and he imply wouldn't make it - despite being such a fierce predator. Key is when and in what tactical setup is one of the two the best 'fit'. Right now, that seems to be Oscar - but there will be games we need Mata. That is the reason why I want him nurtured a bit more. Still, as so often this can be an attempt to tickle the player and hope for a positive counterreaction. - which can backfire as well.
  3. Wut happened? Got your dick stuck somewhere?:-P I mean, seriously, why? Family - the entire family ... Ugh.
  4. Goddamned. Not able to see the game. Crap. Go for it guys! Hazard: be benched or be brilliant !! Ps: and KDB for Lamps - there, I said it :-)
  5. I don't know ...; Neymar is so, so talented. Just watch Barcelona - he will be awesome. Even if a lot on here doubt him. I wish we would have bought him instead of william, really.
  6. Yeah!! That we need to learn. Finish with a BANG :-)
  7. That is true. I think he has this style and technique that makes him get fouled a lot. But he is not a diver, really. But it is true, he is out of form really bad for his doing - although Bayern was great - as was Hull. I already posted about this twice really extensively with stats and everything, but in his career - except one year - the last at Lille - his starts have been bad. That translates in falling, bad passing, etc. He will rev up the engine soon. I am not worried and people who are haven't seen him play enough, really. So, let's give him some bench time - get that nagging injury out of the way - include KDB and William in the team (and cry for the lack of pivot or ST options). edit: if he needs to learn something - it is to get better season starts. Go Blues. Go Eden :-)
  8. Well ok, fair enough. Let us bury the hatchet then Clean slate - tabula rasa!
  9. I don't know if that was an attempt at an answer or just your opinion. In any case what you write here has no referral to my comment whatsoever. I simply did not state what you imply I did: What I did say: Of course my apologies to your jimmies if your comment was aimed at something more ethereal and it rustled them.
  10. I don't think people think otherwise really. It is normal he should fight for his place, yes. Getting ready to sell him already is as premature as calling "Mou out". Furthermore, who in their right mind would want Oscar out? He has been playing great! Good thing people were not as impatient with Oscar as they are now with Mata. We would have missed on all the action he displys today! My point: stop the hyperbole and be patient. Mata (and Hazard) will come good and get their form back. eventually Oscar WILL have a drop in form as well. It is a looooooooooooong season, so we can by any means use both.
  11. To be fair. what is the chicken and what the egg. Is Mata not being played because he is out of form or is he out of form due to not being played. I feel a lot of Mata critiques tend to forget the fact that even the best can be woeful out of form when treated in conditions as he is now. Confederations cup rested, not playing coming in unfit in a team still having no clue where to go. I do think it is genuinely too easy to ostracize Mata and put the cause in his shoes. Don't even bring confidence into this matter. Let's see what a shattering of it has done to other greatnesses in the past. Examples galore, really. I refuse to do that because he was also pivotal in a team that won the CL and EL. Even then he got awarded. I do agree he is not a true Messi/Ronaldo star but he has every qualifications of being a very, very good player that merits more than he had coming now. I will ask again: what is the causal chain: is Mata being subbed because he is bad or is he bad because he is being subbed (and/or not played earlier). The way it seems to me now, the whole Mata argument is a self fullfilling prophecy. We think he is bad, we don't play him; Ow you see he lacks rhythm and fitness: I told you he is bad, Didn't I!? Please.
  12. Fair enough. But the punishment is hardly fitting of the crime. Calling it sick and such. It is bad taste, ok. If you really want sick ask the church and their treatment of children. They love morals over there.
  13. I will repeat my first statement for the visually impaired :-) Plz people, before knee jerking, read the discussion.
  14. I said that. You seems to forget he does have a continuing injury for weeks remember, not a bad mindset.
  15. Well to be honest that happened to my son this summer (2 years old) and one of my former teammates who was present burst out laughing saying he apparantly got my incredible technical football skills genes. So, this cracked me up really. No harm intended - no harm done.
  16. Plz you are baiting me .... don't go there, just don't do it !
  17. Hoping for the best but worried about our structural issues. Hoping Hazard gets benched - he needs some thinking/resting time off and seriously needs to get OFF the quarterback training program. Also, time is due for KDB. The pivot - hell, I have no clue and I don't think Mou has one either.
  18. You ladies are priceless, lmaoooooo :-)
  19. That is funny really. Low on form doesn't make him a one trick pony. Our troubles go much deeper, I think.
