I think it's because people don't rate the job he did at Liverpool and his style, he also made a lot of bad signings there, didn't exactly do well at Inter either. Easy to slate Roman, people are fed up with interim managers, he should just pay what it takes to get the manager he wants or find someone else to take the job permanently. Can't keep waiting for Guardiola, he's doing fuck all at the minute-if he really wanted the job he would've taken it by now.

Agree with this; but think we should get Drogba in till January when we can buy a striker or two. Sturridge and Torres don't need anymore time to prove they're aren't good enough.

Torres is our main problem, cant afford to keep carrying him; it's the most important yet weakest area of the team. Time to accept he's crap, we've given him every opportunity, shipped out Drogba, made him first choice with no one to challenge him, but he's just gone to shit. It's going to be impossible for us to win the league with him up front; with a top striker we'd have a very good chance. Still this team is just coming together, it just seems we are wasting a good opportunity to win trophies while the team is still being built.

Not sure how it shows this, Oscar is an attacking midfielder and he isn't strong defensively. Think we should be looking to build the team around him as our no.10. Can see him really struggling if he's made to play deeper. Getting £8m for Merieles is good business I think, given his age

I hope Di Matteo is realizing we need defensive players in the double pivot, given he's letting Mereiles and Essien go, neither being defensive midfielders. Doubt he'll let Lampard leave. Ramires/Mikel alongside Romeu would fgive the side the best balance. Still the squad looks short on quality and depth for the double pivot.

Would be happy to see him sold if it means we are going to sign a defensive midfielder in January, although we shouldve signed one already as it is now one of the weaker areas in our side along with upfront. Letting Essien go to Real Madrid on loan was the bad decision, why give them more experience and strength in depth? Seems even stranger now Merieles could be off. Still if we use Ramires in the 'double pivot' over Lampard a Mikel-Ramires partnership with Romeu and Lampard as backup isn't too weak. Madrid only have 3-4 players for their 2 of the 4-2-3-1; and we have the players now to not have to use Ramires as a right winger.

Lukaku's been very good, still a bit wasteful, actually looks like he could do well in this league

Definitely need someone better in defensive midfield, could do with a young Makelele so much. Maybe Romeu could come on
