True, it's pretty hard to predict how strikers will develop. Torres was out of form for Liverpool when he signed here, would hardly say Ba was banging goals in for fun, he had a decent record for Newcastle- was shifted out wide for Cisse. He's the kind of player who's going to mostly be anonymous aside from popping up to get a goal. i wouldn't say he;s been a flop, he just isn't a top class striker which we new when we signed him, he'd get goals with an extended run in a team lower down the league. Yeah, ideally I think we'd have Costa, Lukaku and Ba/Schrulle- but the diffuculty is getting rid of Torres and Ba is easier to move on

Drogba was 25/6 when he had his first good season, Costa's had a good two seasons. Unlike Soldado or Falcao goals have never been the sole aspect to his game, and we'd be signing a player who is improving- as opposed to someone who is past their best (Torres, Eto'o...) or too young (Lukaku) so I don't think/hope he wouldn't flop-seems pretty suited to English football too I think 3 strikers is needed for cover and as Mourinho likes the option to play 2 up front, ideally we'd have a third choice capable of playing in other positions

Doesn't really explain a lot other than he didn't have an attempt on goal. I thought he played well out of position, aside from his lack of athleticism, couple of great moments with Hazard. Can see him being immense for PSG, feeding Cavani and Ibra. Wish we could find a role for him, just won't be enough games for him as a no.10.

£25m is fair , if we went to Wolfsburg wanting to buy him they'd demand £25m. I cant think of many young winger/attacking midfielders, who score and assist, playing regularly for a good international side available in Jan for less than £20m. Average about a goal and assist every three games in a decent league last season. Definitely seems like we have learnt not to scrap young players so quickly/cheaply. He hasn't performed when he has got a chance, should be working hard and focusing on playing well next time he plays. Should start against Derby. Would agree he fits Mourinho's team.

Thought he played well and worked hard,he just isnt quick or athletic enough to play on the wings or be the no10 Mourinho wants. Im hoping he can adapt or Mourinho can get the best from him. Oscar playing in the pivot is a terrible idea currently, he makes a lot of tackles further up the pitch, he wont have the same impact playing deeper.

Bradley isn't close to being a playmaker type player. Ramires, Lampard and Mikel are all better centre mids, Van Ginkel potentially much better. Good player for a side like Fulham

I dont think any of those players would be a major loss, I think signing a striker would make the 'transition' smoother, someone to partner Ramires. Oscar and Hazard already seem to be adapting well, Schrulle and Willian will settle in. Hopefully Lukaku comes in and rotates with a new striker. This season will be tough, I dont think we'll win anything, after next season with better strikers and a few other changes in the squad I'd expect us to be in a strong position to win the league

Mourinho sees it as a point away to a title rival. If we draw 0-0 away to the all top teams that should put us in a good position for the title. Prefer to see more ambition though

Terry is close to the end of his career, Luiz is quality but a liability, Cahill isn't top class, we definitely need someone. I don't think Kalas and Omeruo are really pushing for first team appearances, the defence is shaky enough
