28 dead, including 20 children, in school shooting
Mr_President replied to Kieran.'s topic in General Chat
The waste of life is just disgusting... Can't begin to imagine what it would be like to be a parent/teacher/kid that is associated with that school. I am glad we have no such constitutional rights to "bear arms" that enable the massacre of innocents. People have a right to feel safe at home and school, these killings are becoming very frequent and I am genuinely worried for society. Does make you think: what drives these people to do crazy shit like this? -
Does that count as a Torres assist or...?

Good on him for stepping up and taking it

Can Chelsea play with a false #9 like Barcelona?
Mr_President replied to BOSS's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Great post mate. Can't stand this nonsense with wanting to imitate Barcelona and the tiki-taka bullshit, I want us to make our own history and stay true to our own characteristics instead of copying another team. -
Please move or merge this thread if it is inappropriate in its creation or location. I think many on here will agree that we as Chelsea fans had grown accustomed to a strong defence especially in the Mou era, but this current back-line just seems shambolic. Obviously we have to take into account the 'different style' that we are said to be playing which gives less protection to the defence, but I have not seen a Chelsea backline look as easy to penetrate as a cheap prostitute for a very, very long time - we are leaking goals, and its costing us points. We have challenges in the striker position that have been debated to death on this and many other sites, but I wanted to gage your opinions on what our best backline currently is. I personally have been impressed by Cesar Azpilicueta and think he could be our first choice with Ivanovic moving as a possible CB and cover for RB. Luiz gets a lot of hate on here and I used to be a supporter of his, but I see this distaste with his recent form is entirely justified. Some have suggested he should be tried in the DM position which is fair enough, but I don't think he is disciplined enough to be a CB. His constant brainfarts and lapses in concentration where he goes bombing forwards and leaves a giant void in our defence is costing us points. He is not a CB. John Terry, for me, is irreplaceable in our squad. He brings so much to the table with regards to defensive solidity and organisation. I would suggest our best CB pairing is JT and Cahill, but would be interested to see how Ivanovic does in the CB position partnering Cahill, whilst Terry is out. Sorry for the sloppy writing, I am slightly drunk and rushing to go to dinner, let me know what you think of our defensive situation. Thanks!

I agree, whilst our team is still young and in a transitional phase I think if we had a proper striker in the shape of Falcao then we could challenge for the title/CL. Torres could be the top scorer in the prem if he took his chances and actually had a fucking shot once in a while. I just hope we do something in the January window otherwise this will be a long season...

1. What have you made of the Chelsea start to the season? Great start, but we have to remember we are in a transitional stage with our team and despite starting well, must be realistic with our aspirations for the season. Have been impressed with the summer signings and would like to see Marko Marin in action as well. 2. What are your opinions on WBA's start to the season? I Don't think there is anyone who doesn't respect what Clarke has done, with such limited resources, truly great start and I hope it continues. 3. We've seen John Terry involved in a racism case, and of course, the recent allegations with regards to Clattenburg. What have you made of both situations and the way they've been handled? I think Chelsea handled it as well as they could have given its a touchy subject and Terry is our captain just glad it seems to be over, can't stand off the field stuff like the pre-match handshakes that Sky cream themselves over... I agree that serious allegations involving race need to be investigated and dealt with but have a strong distaste for the media who love to blow it out of proportion to sell papers. Another group that has been getting on my nerves recently is this cretinous 'Society for Black Lawyers' who unnecessarily made a complaint to the police over Clattenburg + all the shit he has been giving spurs for their 'Yid Army' chant. 4. What are your opinions on West Bromwich Albion as a football club alongside it's supporters? Can't say I know too much about them to be honest but don't have anything negative to say (like I would for most other clubs/supporters) so that, in itself, is a positive! 5. Both clubs have managers which have figured for both clubs. What have you made of the work RDM has done with yourselves, and what Steve Clarke has done with us so far? Robbie has been great and there is something more special about his tenure here because of his history with the club as a player. Clarke has obviously had a great start to the season, I just hope he can keep it up because it is a long old slog... 6. What are you expecting from Chelsea for the remainder of the season? Can you retain the Champions League? Of course we can retain the Champions League, anything can happen as last year showed, but I am in no way expecting its retention. I think our team is in a transitional phase with a new style of play and many new players, also the lack of a potent striker doesn't help our chances anyway. 7. What do you expect from WBA from the remainder of the season? Do we have a chance of Europe? I hope you do, but in reality there are a lot of teams that are better funded than you who have more resources to compete over the long season. If you finish above Liverpool, though, I would love it! 8. What players in our side do you fear and who should we be wary on Saturday? Peter Odemwingie... Mata is the player you should be most wary of, don't worry about Torres, though. 9. What team is Roberto Di Matteo most likely to choose on Saturday? ------------Cech------------ Azpi--Ivanovic--Cahil--Cole(if he is not still injured) ------Ramires--Mikel------ Mata---Oscar---Hazard-- ---------Torres ---------- 10. And finally score predictions. 3-1 To us. Mata, Cahil, Hazard. Odemwingie -
So is the general consensus on here that we should get Falcao over Cavani taking into account age and price?
-
This is going to be a tough haul over the next few weeks. WBA are a very good team and we would do well not to underestimate them.
-
What exactly is the link between Saville and Torres? Just cretinous dipper fans?
-
Brana is sent off when young gets minimal contact and they get a free kick. Torres goes down after minimal contact and he gets sent off and they get a free kick... Fuck them, ,fucking proud of the team and we are still top of the league .

The worst time in the weekend for Chelsea to lose?
Mr_President replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Agree with Saturday, cannot bear a whole weekend hearing about a Chelsea loss whilst hearing that our rivals have done well. -

MOTM: Mata, great game by the little genius. Hazard and Oscar worthy of a mention too!

Does anyone know how young Piazon played? Thanks.

The criminal court and the FA work on different levels of guilt. In the Magistrate's case the prosecution had to prove that Mr. Terry had used racially abusive language 'Beyond reasonable doubt', Cole's evidence and other factors provided that doubt but it was clear that the Magistrate did not buy Terry's story at all (if you read the case summary). The FA, however, work on a 'Balance of probabilities' which leaves more room for doubt and I'm almost 100% Terry will be found guilty on these grounds.

If we could get him and loan him out to Atletico that would be great but I don't see it happening. It is much better for his development to remain part of their academy instead of the undoubtedly shit English Reserves system.

Hi, I'm new here. Have watched a lot of Oscar recently and he is a class player, really hope we can land this transfer.
