Jokers complaining about Torres will never be happy with him or anybody else, people will moan about anything. Team has been great so far.

We are fucking Chelsea Football Club. We fear nobody, especially not Swansea. Up The Chels'.

As much of a legend he is, and as privileged as I am to have seen him both as a Chelsea player and the Chelsea manager in person, this thread would benefit greatly from a lot less Di Matteo. As sad as it is/was - move on. Our #16 will always be special, as it was before Rafa and as it will be after. Judge Benitez on his own merits, not that of his predecessor.

Moan Moan Moan Moan. Why does it matter how much we paid for him? It's clear Roman isn't exactly hurting financially because he spent a lot of money to bring Torres here. I genuinely believe some fans hold a grudge against him because they were so excited when he signed and it didn't work out. He is not exempt for criticism, and I have been on his back on multiple occasions since he signed for uninterested performances but when he is scoring it just seems to get worse. You get the 'pub team' comments which are ludicrous - you can only score against the team in front of you - and comments about how bad it is that he is scoring because the board won't sell him which is basically wishing poor form on him. It's certainly no coincidence that these commenters are arm chair fans, usually under 17-18 who have grown up to be spoilt with success and legends like Drogba, Nico etc. Torres is a Chelsea Player, both he and some of our fans should act like it more often, recently he's been holding up his end of that bargain and maybe it's time for some posters to do the same.
-
No, he wasn't.
-
Torres is playing well right now, looks resurgent. New striker needed to bolster our options, but not to replace El Nino. Competition for places is important.
-
Why do some posters insist on bringing Torres into every thread? We have a thread dedicated to him in the Player Database section, so if you want to criticise him, do it there.
-
Swansea didn't even look like they were trying to go for it in extra time.
-
Never want anyone to get injured but from the sound of things Richards could be a big loss for City going forward.
-
Y. Toure is quality. Better than Mikel in my view, but we can't have everyone and everything, even with Roman.
-
I really hope this is not City's bad patch, and that they'll kick on after it, because they just seem to keep picking up points even after playing really averagely.

The worst time in the weekend for Chelsea to lose?
Django replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It's never nice losing, but losing a 12.45 game on a Saturday is awful - sours the whole weekend. -
It's amazing how much of a frenzy a few people on here have worked themselves into over this. Hopefully he can stay injury free for a while now and gets a chance from the bench soon.
-
If you're not in the top 3 in the world in your position, you're nothing by Kojo standards. Bizarre.
-
Kojo is an entertaining prick.
-
It'd be great but I'd happily swap winning that for a good December and January in the league.
-
Approaching this game with no fear. We have a good record against them at home and there are definitely goals in our side. No result would surprise me but I'm optimistically pegging this as a relative comfortable Chelsea win, 3-1 maybe.
-
I'd be amazed if he signed in January. If this were to happen, whether it be City or us, I think it will be in the summer.

César Azpilicueta Is Chelsea’s Next Great Right Back
Django replied to DONI.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Knee-jerk reaction, but at least it's on the positive side. Had we have lost to Wolves I'm sure we would have seen a thread calling for Robbie to be sacked and to take Azpi with him. -
I hope Robbie rests Torres for Norwich. Romeu, Azpi, Moses etc all in would be nice too. A good mix of youth and an experienced core (Cech, JT, Lamps) should see us through. KTBFFH!
-
That's the manager's decision, not mine. But what I can say is that if Torres never scores for us again, I'll support him and get behind him until the day he is no longer is with the club, and I'll wish him the best in the future. Chelsea have seen players of all levels come and go, but as far as I'm concerned, if somebody works hard for the club, they deserve respect. This isn't about Fernando specifically, or any other player. The name on the back of the shirt means nothing, the badge on the front of it means everything. No player fails on purpose.
-
Torres is part of our team. Therefore I support him. The same as I support every other player in the side.
-
I support all of our players. Like I did Wembley and like I did in Munich. You don't like Torres and you make that clear. He could score a hat-trick next game and you'd still criticize him.
-
You've gone beyond the level of caricature. Your posts don't even annoy me anymore, I find them funny. You'll never be happy.
