  1. Chris Foy got about any small decision wrong, which hugely affected the game but was right on all significant ones. City were too strong for us physically. 0-0 about right result even though we were the better side. Luiz was superb at the back today.
  2. no danger at all, our attacking movement is crap
  3. lee marvin should have booked zabaleta there. where's te point hitting a freekick from 40+ yards direct? only one who can score from there is not on the pitch.
  4. yep. they beat us in the 1-on-1s cos they are stronger and they always get into the 1-on-1s cos they are faster.
  5. i mean lee marvin blows everytiem s.o. goes to ground when it changes nothing to the run of play, but when it gets serious he blows nothing.
  6. ha, the ref looks like Lee Marvin, but he should find his line.
  7. ha. you can tell dzeko is former bundesliga player. he has done all his homework but incapable of improvising at speed. We own City technically but they own us physically. A pity cos I still don't buy that tiqi-taqa stuff. I'd rather have a side with strengthin the middle, pace on the flanks around some outstanding allrounders.
  8. that is the problem with mikel. your cms have 1. to distribute 2. to get the ball back 3. to cover the ground to limit spaces. Mikel does 2. , Ramires 3. but neither is a decent distributor. so we either need s.o. who can distribute and either defend or run OR we need to play a mid three with lamps who can do 1. Imagine what a counter attack machine we would be with a player who could play precise passes from build-up play
  9. our passing in build up is always so unprecise, provoking all sorts of danger. esp ramires, iva nd luiz should pay attention here
  10. We clearly are the better side, technically but we lack the steel jt and lamps provide and i think that will continue to haunt us
  11. ???? You miss the point. This is an other problem now. First you argued he does not fit in a 4-2-3-1. There you got a point, cos his position does not exist in that system. now you say he is not better than mata or oscar for a 4-3-3. That is an entirely different question. Fact is his natural position is one of the two rather advanced midfielders in a mid 3. ------Mikel---- Rami--Lamps Is our best midfield imo. Of course lamps should not play every game and then you can put Oscar in his position, but there always has to be some rotation. You could also play both of them against smaller teams, resting Ramires etc. Anyway Mata should be nowhere near the middle of park. Yes he does get back sometimes to collect the ball but only when we are on the front foot and he has space. Mata is midget weakling with no acceleration at all. Against physically superior players he get bullied of the ball as we have seen too often already. The mid 3 listed above would play our 3 best CMs in the roles they are best at. Mikel in behind, relieved of offensive duties, only calming our play, playing simple passes, Lamps helping our attack with his vision and outstanding playmaking abilities + improving our conversion rates drastically, Ramires being all over the place with his tireless legs hence providing either double cover for lamps or making runs himself. This has to be a fuckin joke, bro. How can the greatest player in Chelsea history be overrated?
  12. my favourite encounter between the teams in recent years. City just had signed Robinho who scored early, just for Carvalho to equalise. Lampard and Deco ruled the midfield with Lamps scoring an exceptional goal to give us the lead. Carvalho also was an absolute boss that game, esp after Terry got sent off.
  13. Which would have done the job. We did score only once against swansea, west brom and pool, 0 against juve, it's not that "a couple of important goals" would have made no difference. Also we wasted far more clear cut chances than we conceded goals in each of these games. Btw i do not like debating with people who alterate their opinion during the debate in order to artificially elongate it. First you argue that Lamps would not have changed anything, then you relativize that into "would not helped our defensive problem" and in the end u got a problem with the position he would play in. That tactic is not only annoying for others it is also very inefficient cos u only weaken your stance every time. Get your opinion sorted out in the very beginning.
  14. Didn't see it either, surely a partly excuse for Torres lack of performing. Wicked bit business by liverpool. Shouldn't do deadline day signings any more if that means to abandon the necessary medical checks.
  15. Can't be serious. It is ridiculously obvious that he is exactly the solution. Lamps is an experienced leader, world class finisher and legendary big match player, all that we have been missing, wasting 1000s of clear goalscoring chances, lacking head&heart and the ability to turn it on when it counts most. How did we win our trophies last season? Because we had a better coach, better tactics or more skilfull players, with tiki-taka and fancy trickery? No because our big, experienced players&leaders were at their best when it counted most, made no mistakes and used their fuckin opportunities. Without Lamps injury we would sit comfortably at the top of the epl and our cl group, cos there would have been a player who would have scored some of these 1000s of chances. In these times I would swap Oscar for Lamps every time.
  16. Being a chelsea supporter has told me one thing for sure: Success in football is not about youth, fancy tricks, tiki-taka - it helps (esp combined with some healthy corruption and doping) but you can win things without that, not so without experience and leadership and the attributes these bring to your team: hard work, concentration and confidence in the crucial moments. Who will carry this team when Lampard retires. Jt? he can do nothing about our attacking play. Mazacar? what have they won us yet? Which crucial moments did they actually save our ass? Where were all these tricks and flashy moves then? In the Pool, ManU, Juve games they might have been keen, but what did we get out of these? A shit, because they failed when it counted the most. No only did they waste numerous golden chances, they simply were not at their best. A big player, a world class player is at his best in these exact moments, no matter what, no questions, no excuses. Our recent spell has proven, our younger players are not there yet. They are kids not leaders. That is not their fault. But it shows how grave a mistake it would be to ship out the only guy who could prepare them for these moments.More than anyone else out of the Old Guard it has been lamps who has carried this club through its most successful decade and transformed it from a decent european side to a global player everyone knows. Player generations at Real, AC Milan, FC Bayern, ManU, Barcelona have maintained, carried on what has been started decades ago. At Chelsea they created an entirely new, unprecedented legacy of success. Arsenal, Leeds, Hamburg, Lazio, deportivo aso how many clubs have fallen cos they could not handle that term of success? How grave a mistake it would be wasting that legacy by acting hasty in personell decisions...
  17. Can't believe Rafa dares to judge Lamps's and Cole's future after a few days at the office. He should be far more diplomatic here. Could really harm the morale of the squad, considering the players' importance. I believe we will win nothing without Lampard or an adequat successor, but I see no one who could be that.
  18. Just had a look at the videos of our crucial matches last season. Lamps put in outstanding performances against napoli (h), Liverpool, both barca games and Bayern. Nothing like slow on the ball there. Most notably he raped Mascherano, Henderson adn Messi before putting in inch-perfect passes leading to the goals. he knows when to up his game, his ability to step up in big-games and crunch time is immense. You can't turn that down unless u want to become Arsenal.
  19. Our major problem is our finishing. I have never seen a team under Pep finishing particularly well.
  20. Torres is like a pest carrying off every manager sooner or later.
  21. so redundant. Not his fault, he was left with a ruin of a squad.
  22. Roman will offer a Porsche to every Shakthar player scoring against Juve or an other fillip to make sure, they are up to it. Does anyone know if it suffices if we win 7-0 against Nordsjaelland and the others draw so we will be ahead Juve in goal difference.
  23. This is all intentional. Roman wants to win Europa League, as we won the Champions League already Probably the most undeserved 3-0 win in history. OK our finishing and defence was poor, but Juve were just as bad. Giovinco's goal was their only shot on goal they did not fuck up completely. With Terry's leadership in defence and Lampard's finishing we would have thrashed them easily with the chances we created. Such a redundant but expected result considering we do the same mistakes all over again in every game. U can play crap only if u got luck on your side but we are chelsea nd we seldom have
  24. Only mistake by Cech, does not matter. Who asked that midget twat to show his dismal midget upper body?
