  1. Oscar looks not fresh. Should be rested more often. Moses would do better against carragher and jose enrique
  2. oscar should have scored. that's our problem, converting. we only score enough because we create about 30 chances per game.
  3. Would be a Liverpool fan's trademark to boo into that minute of silence for the troops.
  4. It's so frustrating to see that we are unable to just grinding out results as Utd does. i do not demand to have that much luck and the ref on our side all the time but a bit more concentration when it matters. We did it last season, why not now? Btw where Villa shite in the 2nd half and lucky to score or had the ref some gifts for Utd?
  5. Not sure if that has sth to do with the specific situation of chasing than with the cumulated effect of our lack of performance and more important luck in particular games in comparison with the Team we were chasing (mostly Utd), which can be deduced to us being chelsea thus constantly in the situation of having more than 11 men against us and/or not having the squad to accomplish our title bid. But agree. Being the team chasing is always shite cos there is an extra pressure. However, top of the table or not - u have to win at home against a mid-table side.
  6. I don't think Lamps will move in January or to China in general. There can't be any doubt he is the greatest player in the history of Chelsea Football Club. That's why he should conclude his career here.
  7. Don't think we will buy two strikers in January. Falcao sounds rather improbable to me, because of the heavy pricetag and us having already made some expensive acquisitions. Of course, Bony will by a bigger gamble than Falcao but it is also much easier for a guy like Bony to pay off than for a 50m striker. Hence i would not say he is 5 so the cost/risk ratio is in his favour.
  8. Of course Bertrand is lightning quick esp without the ball. Remember that goal against City he made about 18m in 2 secs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGRJJnWiHLQ anyway the significance of pure sprinting abilites in football is difficult to evaluate. When I was in Munich two years ago i visited a public training session of FC Bayern. After the warmup they had 35m sprinting sessions. When Robben. Sosa and Olic, their 3 fastest players at that time (Ribery was injured) lined up I did so on the other side of the fence. I beat all three of them - in jeans and coldstart.
  9. which are? Schürrle? Remy? More expensive and offer less. At least little we do not already have in Sturridge. Bony for 8-10m sounds about right. We payed nearly as much for Marin and Bony is by far the better player. Another great vid. The more I watch him the more I like him as a player. His style is kinda unique, a bit more playful than drogs, but no-nonsense as well. You have to check his runs and moves right before he connects with the ball first time, he is so clever he always knows how to create space for himself in advance, that is why he always has the time to outfox the goalkeeper and make the finish even saver. This player is so versatile, he can link up with Mazacar but could also use some long, precise goals from Lamps (if he stays), which would give as an ultimate new weapon as plan B. Imagine, mazacar have not the best day while we need a goal, we can play with Lamps, Moses and Bony and make some old-fashioned Mourinho-style moves which the opponent will naturally not be used to. I know, he has weaknesses that have to be adressed. Sometimes he is sloppy or has a time off (never a game off, he often does score AND assist but rarely does none of these) and he could move and react even faster in the vicinity of the ball. But technically and physically it is all there. He does not have the same coordination problems as Lukaku and as he is not as tall can be more flexible.
  10. How that? Cahill is actually a very good sprinter. Remember how often he even overtook messi in those two games to tackle him from front.
  11. WHO IS THAT? but agree with that tactic we also pressed ManU and got them at the ass. the problem was our lack of a proper finisher and our lack of tracking back in counters. Gotta feelin it will be similar. Hope this match does not get decided by fitness. When does Lamps come back? It is about time. We are not the same without him. Esp in those games his experience is crucial. Even as a sub his exceptional qualities as leader and finisher can be key.
  12. agree good comparison. Think Bony -if a success - could be even better for us than hernandez for manU as he is a player who can lead the line (and is generally the better player)
  13. ha but we won the only two important ones, lamps cliniching the title back in 2010 at anfield and Drogs giving us the FA cup. That's it. Had a random look at their team sheet, did not know one single name. They played with a guy called morrow as striker. Don't know why Rodgers wants our head. Liverpool lost against West Brom and other but they always turn up against us it is such a disgrace we are always in a situation where we can't counter that cos our players arent't fresh or whatever. + we can forget Torres even more in that match hence i'd go for -----------Cech--------- Iva---Cahill--Terry--Bertrand --------Mikel--Rambo------- -Moses----Mata ----Hazard -------------Sturridge-------- sub on oscar, torres and maybe marin later. Not sure we can win this. Maybe when we score first and can counter them.
  14. First bad game by him, no need to overreact. Cole also had bad games resulting in people calling for Bertrand to step up. The boy will come good knew that the first time I saw him playing.
  15. that's probably right cos he'll be loaned around all the time, which is probably necessary but i hope he will only get loaned within the epl, there is no sense going to eredevise when u have been starter in brazil. But why buy a player for 4m who has that low chances of playing for us, if u can get experienced, decent fullbacks in their best years for little more (as Debuchy,Gebresselassie, Jantschke aso)
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKWodin3QOk this is a better vid showing his expertise in physically combating defenders mixed with some great controls, touches and tricks. plus u see he is versatile. there are some counter situations, he can convert crosses, can shoot from distance, create his own chances. has a healthy no-nonsense approach, knwos when to rather use power instead of trying to pass or curl it in all the time. His composure is criminal but as said before, this is only a shit league, so u do not know if he would be able to score that way here in the prem.
  17. Think Bony is much better on the ball than Lukaku and he's also smaller, more mobile and a better link up player, but his conversion is average and as most players in eredevise uses to have a game off. I think he'll become a good to very good player. The question is, ist that enough for us. Anyway, I think everyone can do better than torres and an extra striker would do us no harm esp. as we do not know if studges comes good as main striker or even stays with us. Bony is no typical chelsea signing. He would be if he was either 5 years younger or 20m pounds more expensive if u know what i mean.^^ but one thing i wanna point out is that u cannot say if he is class he should score more in a shit league. Vitesse is not really a good team so he's not always good service and especially in shit league more goals often only mean more tap ins against other shit teams so that is no real hint of quality. Drogba also did not score that much in the french league which is shit, too but we signed him nonetheless for a crazy sum. the thing is, if u are technically superior to an average defender you can rip all teams with bad defenders to shreds, but if u are good technically and superior physically you break class defenses. I know Lukaku gave the German Defence a tough game in his last international against us, even though he is below average technically his pure strength allowed him space against mertesacker and friedrich. A physically strong player sometimes only needs one ball contact to change the game, drogbas header against bayern is the best example. he simply brushed away boateng. Can't imagine Suarez or any other rather "technical" players with impressive scoring record in a shit-league doing so. For 8m Bony is worth a gamble if he is given the chance, which -of course- require Torres to be "rested"
  18. Do we actually need a right back? well it would ultimately relieve Ivanovic from RB duties, IMO he's always been decent at CB, he and Cahill are a good pairing, even though very similar. Wallace looks a lot like Azpilicueta with regard to playing style, and isn't there a certain Todd Kane coming through the ranks? At least our partnership with fluminese which cost us 3 or 4 mios when letting Deco go will pay of.
  19. Lamps has been badly missed against Shakthar, ManU and Swansea, esp as a leader and finisher. Still should not be written off, even though it is true he probably won't be with us next year. he won't fit into the giggs/scholes role simply because neither Scholes nor Giggs ever were the player Lamps was. Lamps has not only contributed but was our most important player for 10 years, regardless of age, manager or critics. On the other hand I am certain, Lampard CAN adapt. He could play striker, in the hole or as a deep lying playmaker but only if he wants. However, still has a massive part to play this season.
  20. Give him time he is still young. This off-game against Swans cost us but that is the price you pay for playing youngsters. He was great against ManU and will build upon that. Strangely despite having a wicked shooting technique he is one of the most wasteful players in the league.
  21. never heard of that fella, but I think it has to be pretty clear for RDM and RA that we have to add quality in the middle of the pitch. Never heard of that fuego fellar nor about that 16-year old kid but it seems the one is too old to be signed due to our policy and the other too young to make a direct impact, which is what we need if we are to challenge for the big cups. I'd like Banega to kick-start his carreer at the Bridge. Say against Lamps lack of pace what u want, but we have badly missed him against Shakthar, Manure and Swans, we have lacked the structure he gives us, the expert finishing and the depth. A pairing I see working against weaker teams is Lampard Romeu and I am sure we will see it with the Club WM only weeks away. At least as important is a better striker. We would have slaughtered ManU and Swansea if we had a striker that was worth the shirt. A switch Torres for a decent man would not impede Lukakus or Sturridges chances of making first team some day but would give us a performer. I'm tired of playing 10,25 vs 11 every game
  22. hate that too, can't recapitulate a match we won undeservedly
  23. and when I saw the look on RDM's face before the equaliser one could tell he knew he made a mistake. We fuckin need a proper striker. Neither Sturridge nor Torres is one. Without Lamps we have no proper finisher and Without Lamps, Terry, Mata we have no leaders on the pitch, Our goal was lucky cos torres fucked up all chances from open play.
  24. the ref ist taking massively time off the clock
