  1. yeah but even the bild, the most Bayern-biased newspaper in the world made a relatively decent rating and comparison before the CL final. Their rating after the final was rather bitter and pathetic, slagging all our players except Lamps, Drogs and Cech off and rating every player A or B except of Robben. They will surely feel comforted by that.
  2. not even. You simply can not compare. our players are proven on the highest level not only in a shit league. None of these players has ever played a game in the CL, none of them has real World Cup experience. This Globo shit must be on crack. You can not rate and compare professional players on a 5-star scale of these attributes. Not even my 13 y.o. brother would buy that.
  3. Lamps has scored 4 times against teams who defend better than Deportivo from midfield on multiple occasions. U alwayss need luck for goals and when you are scorer it cummulates. But this is not an extra argument for buying him.
  4. Yep Benteke's been a revelation. Still only 22, strong, good in the air, great right foot. his goals were quality and his assist was suh a great example of link up play, his pin-point cutback class. Should improve his scoring rates nonetheless, have heard he is rather wasteful in some games. But we need a player for the direct impact, Benteke is a great prospect but as for now I'd prefer Ba.
  5. Cesar looks so psycho. lol. piazon: "In the end I lost my two balls"
  6. Great views. i understand there many Corinthians supporters having sympathed with us in our CL campaign, cos we are very similar. Similar number of league titles (5), big spending power but it lasted till 2012 to turn that into a CL success, then courtesy of great tactics, teamplay, discipline and fighting spirit.
  7. Great memories about the match but , even though it did not matter anything in the end, very bad memories about his performance. He awarded Barca goalkick after a dive, booked Ramires and Ivanovic for fun and should have sent off Messi for an assault on Lampard.
  8. This ridiculously bad English reminds me of Big Phil. "Hä iz är gräit plair bicors hi iz diffränt"
  9. why the heck do pacy players like Walcott or Sturridge always wanna play in the middle. They are brillant on the wings but are defo no lone striker or a false 9. They shall run past the defence and cross ffs.
  10. You can compare no one with Lamps. Greatest player ever. It is far too early to let Lamps go. There is nobody there to succeed him. Mata Oscar and Hazard might be able to compensate his goalscoring and assists but not his ability to lead the team in difficult situations and big games and no tactical plan B either. NO one else plays these 60m diagonal balls and shoots from distance like him. Lamps is as big as the sport, an icon every athlete should follow his example. His attitude professionalism and his character made him the legend he is. A legend like Roger Federer or Kobe Bryant, age has not restraint him from still succeeding at the very top.
  11. Yeah, 49 league goals in 171 games. I think season in Brazil is about to end. Guerrero has scored an emphatic 6 goals. Another nice fact, Paolo Guerrero has scored more goals in Regionalliga Süd (German 4th division), than he has league goals to his name in 8 years of professional football. Best goalscorer ever. But my fav story is when, after the game, the players were heading to the changing rooms while refuelling themselves with energydrinks, he was racially abused by a fan. Some might have ignored it, Cantona aimed for a kung-fu kick, Guerrero kept his cool, stopped, assessed his options and threw the bottle into the fans face with phenomenal precision. Some even said his best hit ever he got a lengthy ban for this but said it was worth it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=851kywuWuzQ he got a habit of collecting lengthy bans. This is another Guerrero classic. He does his name and the reputation of his recent club all honour. His sprint over 56m with 31km/h was the fastest sprint of an HSV player in the whole game this guy is pure comedy
  12. well Mata did neither shoot nor did he square for oscar but instead passed it into Chavez and we were luckywell Mata did neither shoot nor did he square for oscar but instead passed it into Chavez and we were lucky that he was such a dork to put it into his own net
  13. still better to have him performing, the club still got the chance of selling him. Torres best contribution was his brillant pass with the outside of his boot around the defence for Oscar to make a mess of it but Chavez still managed to convert. Nonetheless the old Torres would have scored more, he could not even beat these Monterrey defenders for pace.
  14. Yeah, I watched their games against Al-Ahly and the CL final against boca juniors. Both were pretty poor games. In the former they did ok defensively, drawing a lot of fouls, which would not be possible in Europe. Santos was impressive neutralizing Bocas dangerous right side, against the Egyptians they were not really challenged. All in all, I'd still say they defend better than they attack, because Ralf and Paulinho got real urgency in the tacklings and protect their D by always holding the line. Their attack is more about movement than about individual effort, so tactically I rate their attacking play but all in all and abilitywise they defend better. Its really difficult to say, cos you can't predict how they would cope with the altered circumstances, but they got great depth and some good individuals, so provided they would get used to the football quick enough, my guess is they even might avoid relegation
  15. I'd say midfield is their strongest area, their strikeforce is erratic and not particularly talented but experienced and physically stronger than you'd expect of a Brazilian team. Their defence might be good for that but tactically not on European level. Their flair players in midfield are a disgrace for a team from Sao Paulo, but Paulinho and Ralf form a more than decent double pivot. Their defence usually is allessandro or welder - Wallace-chicao-Fabio Santos. Every EPL and most Championship sites got a better D.chicao and alessandro are small and slow as fuck, Santos and Wallace are kinda decent for their standard, but none of them has real experience. It is really hard to become a good defender without ever having played in Europe. This would become even more blatant if we still had Drogba and Malouda up front they would tear them to shreds physically. I'd even argue Monterrey's defense at full strength is better than Corinthians.
  16. Actually it would be a disgrace not to beat Corinthians. On every position we probably have two better players than them, their defence is shit, nonetheless they are a different calibre than monterrey. -------Cech----- Azpi--Iva-Cahill-Cole --Lamps-Luiz/Rami Oscar--Mata---Hazard ---------Nando---------
  17. Luiz's long expected stint remains as the sole real talking point, as predicted by many Monterrey, even though they threw everything they had at us, proved to be no match. I hope Luiz playing DM does not mean an injury to Ramires. No idea why we played all 3 maestros today, i always feel it is one to many. IMO Benitez could have rested one of them + Cole from the beginning while bringing Lamps in to the game for Mata after our 3rd goal. Corinthians are a different calibre. They will be fresher than us. Their midfield is really strong, physically and technically gifted. In front they have Paulo Guerrero who used to play for Bayern and Hamburg. He is as erratic as it gets. Usually he is shit but on his day he can do anything, but - as all of their players - has never played a team of our calibre either, so i would still make us massive favourites.
  18. Countries who do not use the metric system: Liberia, Myanmar, United States are in good company. So I am gonna have 200ml of coffee now. Back to the game: I think Monterrey won't cause us too many problems. Delgado is their best player and a wasteful cunt, they are not too quick on the counter attack either and I would like some goals here, even though I know there are not many goals in a CWC cos teams know each others not so well and scan each others before taking a risk. Azpi--Iva-Luiz--Bert -----Ramy--Lamps- Moses--Oscar--Mata ---------Nando-------- should do.
  19. this is what we call the Arsenal disease.
  20. Arsenal classic, suck when the pressure is on, no matter how weak the opponent is.
  21. lol. we should do beat them 5-0 just for his hope to become exact prediction. Btw. i do not think Monterrey will be a problem. No matter what their biggest strength is, we are better at it. Additionally, as we are Chelsea there has to be drama every time we are involved, going out in the first game is not drama, following that logic we have to make it to the final in any case. also like this one by formel Brazil midfielder Alex (remember playing him at Fener in 2008) Yeah the chance of Corinthians winning is far greater when they face us in the final than any other team in the tournament.
  22. Is it true Rafa does not fit into the clubs Dolce&Gabbana suits? No offence, but i think people allocated to sports should take more care of their physique. Especially as he is a former athlete I do not understand how Rafa has always been so fat?
  23. Cool for you that makes you glad, but I think Rafa and some of our Brazilian players know a bit more. In Japan there a 5000 Corinthians fans but more than 90,000 Chelsea fans. Worldwide we are 140m, I do not have a clue why that does matter. Lol, never heard the term "blue chickens" before. Keep calm, we are surely not afraid as our televisions have told us we are the best. You got a really interesting history btw. the club Corinthians Sao paulo is a hommage to the Corinthians from London, a club proud of its working class origin that toured through Brazil for caritative matches, winning all 6 of them. The locals were so impressed by their down-to earth values, they emulated it. That is probably also why you are participating at a merely caritative Fifa tournament in the farmers and crafters state japan...for nonprofit purposes only, of course. Cya in Yokohama, dawg.
  24. Just rewatched the Manchester derby. ManU will probably regain the title, because City are to shit to make the best of that personell. Should have won this game. Rooney was twice so lucky. The first goal it was a brillant finish, but how can a defender just jogg off, when he hits his shot. He is covered by two men, one can chase him and the other should cover the first defender, not jog beside him. Terry would have anticipated and stopped that shot instead of switching off after the shot has been fired. The second is typical ManU goal. But wtf is David Silva doing, just standing around. Kolo Toure is nowhere near Rooney, so Silva should no only half-heartedly track back but help to double Rooney. Btw Hart is so overrated. He was not at fault for any of these goals, but in this kind of game, Cech would have pulled off one unbelievable save that would have changed the game. The people are wanking about the van Persie goal, but it was going down the middle before it was stupidly defelcted by zabaleta. U either block a shot or u let it go for safety, but deflecting a ball into the danger zone is never right.
  25. This. And Kalou also is an excellent penalty taker. He still is not really fast but at least he was never afraid to pull the trigger. Today he was efficient considering the service. We are to play more shit sites in the next weeks, so maybe he can get it going and be boasting when we face the big guns. IMO for a striker it is always about using your chances not so much about how good the opponent is. You always get chances also against Kompany and Vidic, when you are confident you are more likely to put them away, no if you only got your confidence by scoring against shit sites.
