Let's see how the season ends before rating Rafa's achievements. 3rd place would be a good deal better than 4th cos it would spare us those annoying qualification matches. I always liked him here. His pace, swagger and the fact that he probably is the only jamaican who cannot dance. but his selfishness and bad decision-making made his stance here really difficult. Also he could waste the best chances when he was not on form. but he just is so fuckin pacy and skilfull, he can create chances out of nothing. I think I get you point and I am totally with you that he should not be risked in case it could really be aggravated, we should not risk his carreer or anyhting. Lamps is still good enough and the fact that he actually has arranged himself with a bit-part role as under Benitez, playing about every 2nd game + Mourinho returning roobs them of any valid basis of arguments. Mou will love to work with Lamps again. With him and some decent signings we will be challenging on all fronts again and Lamps can be an important part of that team. Mou also likes to play a 4-3-3 with Lamps's favourite position in it. This season we have bitten ourselves for letting kalou go and having to play guys like Marin and Benayoun.
