which is surely no problem for Hazard. Anyway also in a 4-2-3-1 it is Oscar who has to play on the right wing, which is not his position, so somenone is victim anyway.

Let's see how the season ends before rating Rafa's achievements. 3rd place would be a good deal better than 4th cos it would spare us those annoying qualification matches. Also EL victory is a must, ending this season without a title would be a huge disappointment and we (hopefully) seldom get the chance to win that competition.

I always liked him here. His pace, swagger and the fact that he probably is the only jamaican who cannot dance. but his selfishness and bad decision-making made his stance here really difficult. Also he could waste the best chances when he was not on form. but he just is so fuckin pacy and skilfull, he can create chances out of nothing. Yesterday's game just showed what we are missing, neither Ba nor Torres can do anything like that. At his first goal he was alone against 3 defenders and his finish with his weaker right foot was sublime. His third goal was also excellent, right-footed, too. He is just like a raw Cristiano Ronaldo, albeit not that talented with similar physical attributes. He never worked under RDM, but one could see already then, that he should have been made 1st choice central striker for us during Torres drought. He is the best young English striker and will be no. 1 forward for the NT sooner rather than later, even though this probably rather an indication of how weak the country is in that department rather than one of Studge's quality. Nonetheless he is destined for the very top and will make it. Our board and probably also RDM should have got that.

I think I get you point and I am totally with you that he should not be risked in case it could really be aggravated, we should not risk his carreer or anyhting. But according to my experiences, the human body is always a bit stronger With or without pain killers, it doesn't matter. usually when you can limp you also can run, under pain of course but it is possible...maybe its just my, I am pretty robust and more importantly my carreer is not worth multimillion euros. Whatever, it should be Hazard's and the doc's decision and I am behind him in any case. I hope for him that he can feature, we are able to beat benfica without him, but he deserves to play a part in the final himself, cos he contributed massively to our progress to it.

But still this is common practice in every level of sports. Being shot fit once a year for a final does not do too much damage. Every sports doctor does this. I remember Dirk Nowitzki playing the NBA championship games vs Miami with a broken finger and 40°C of fever. The human body has emergency reserves that reload themselves. It is no problem to trigger them once.

This is class. When Lampard has a bad game you are the first to criticize him, but when Ramires is shit and completely loses it, u say it is Lampard's fault that Rami got sent off. When Ramires makes individual mistakes such as the two tackles that sent him off or the tackles he failed in the middle which got us under pressure they are individual mistakes. Against ManU we won the midfield battle cos both rami and Lamps played a solid game. Yesterday we lost it for half of the game cos Ramires was utter shit and later because we had only 10 men. When it was 10 vs 10 we completely dominated the midfield. Lamps is not able to win the mdifield battle as sole midfielder. No one is. Benteke's goal was not about Lampard being 30m away from it. That happens. You could also ask Ashley cole why he wasn't there. Our tactical formation is called 4-2-3-1 and not bee swarm. The Belgian's goal was a series of individual mistakes, none of them was Lamps's. And this "outside the box" shit and in general your artificial search for terms that somehow limit Lampard's contribution is pathetic. Everyone can see that he still contributes elsewhere on the ptich. His long range passing has been good this season, his defensive work in the own 3rd, too. I was exactly him who made the 2 last clearances of the game in stoppage time yesterday, it was him, who started the move for his second goal of, he anticipated the space and got his movement outside the box spot on for his first goal.

This. No matter what some people on here say. Lamps is still good enough and the fact that he actually has arranged himself with a bit-part role as under Benitez, playing about every 2nd game + Mourinho returning roobs them of any valid basis of arguments. Mou will love to work with Lamps again. With him and some decent signings we will be challenging on all fronts again and Lamps can be an important part of that team. Mou also likes to play a 4-3-3 with Lamps's favourite position in it. This season we have bitten ourselves for letting kalou go and having to play guys like Marin and Benayoun. Next season if we really let Lampard go we will have to play average players like Essien in his position.

Europa League Final 2013 - Benfica 1-2 Chelsea
Magic Lamps replied to Jase's topic in Champions Archive
You are right, epistemological this was an own goal by Aimar. btw, Aimar is pronounced exactly the same way as Eimer which is German for this -
which was in fact even tighter angle. which 2009/10 goal do you mean? Sunderland FA Cup? yup, but as one can see in the video it was from far more away and less central than the dot. Also some of the lines from the dots if continued are not directed towards goal. However. great graphic.

Europa League Final 2013 - Benfica 1-2 Chelsea

I actually do not give a shit about Fat Jesus. rafa might not be the best coach but he surely is better than this guy and I hope he tactically outfoxes him as he did with Ferguson, Wenger and AVB. Now to the lineup: IMO Moses on the wing is less useful than Lamps in the front 3. With his 2 goals he has really merited himself a place in the starting lineup in the final. Provided Hazard is out i'd go: ----------Cech--------- Azpi---Luiz---Iva--Cole ------Rami---Mikel Oscar--Lamps---Mata ----------Torrid--------- Torress (Torrid+Useless) was actually quite okay when we played Benfica last year. we defeated them with a B team in Lissabon. Kalou also performed great then, I remember. Dawg, what I'd give to ahve Kalou back now. Hopefully Hazard at least makes the bench, we only need one great piece of action from him, cos I do not think there will be too many goals in it. -
They lied. They only aired Lamps's second post match interview. Always funny to see Robbie Savage and his vocabulary of 200 words as "expert". Everything that qualifies him is that he has been skinned by probably every single EPL player, also the goalkeepers. When he was Lamps direct opponent the last time, Frank scored 4 times He also pointed out that it was handball+red for baker and goal and got that terry was not red. so respect for that

Don't mind I got a link here http://www.viponlinesports.eu/football/95543/1/bbc-match-of-the-day-(every-sat/sun)-live-stream-online.html

Can anyone record Lamps's appearance on MOTD or has a stream to the BBC chanel it is aired on?
-
Yup. He deserves a forum of his own. a website of his own. What am I saying? He deserves an Internet of his own. Well that will be difficult to arrange, so lets at least remain this thread.

but the ref is pretty much pro benfica
-
Fortunately its a really hard game, esp that defender with these tattooed tiny twig-arms of porto has brought an axe with him today.
-
Someone else rooting for Porto today? Real beat Barcelona before we drew them at Camp Nou to progress. Dortmund slashed Bayern before we beat them in Munich, so I think it is better for Benfica to lose their title today in a narrow defeat. And I hope many of their players pick up injuries or get tired.

Was a pleasure to read through that spurs forum page 102-104 http://www.thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/threads/the-other-matches-in-the-premier-league-thread.3156/page-102

Can't Eva inject him sth to be fit for the final? the hamstring is a big muscle it won't stop working just because of a little stretch. I used to play American football. I had torn my hamstring in the week before our penultimate game. I was still in the roster as third quarterback (even though I have been wide receiver by trade). It cam as it had to come: both quarterbacks in the squad injured themselves that day.. So a double dose of paracetamol and an injection of Cortison and took over as quarterback in the 3rd down. As I am Wide Receiver I can't throw a ball precisely further than 40 yards, so I decided to run. I actually felt no pain in my leg anymore and made 56 rushing yards. The running back completed a decisive touchdown subsequently. What I wanna tell with that little story is that many injuries esp. hamstring injuries can easily be overcome for decisive games, without risking the player's carrerr or anything like that.

Such a modest, classy man. He is really the guy who should receive knighthood by her majesty, but probably never will cos the Queen is Arsenal supporter. http://www1.skysports.com/football/gallery/12739/8706623/franks-finest-goals here a nice gallery of some of his most important goals. I remember all of them too well. Also amazing feat by Cech to carry a big man like Frank on his shoulders.

Met a blonde girl with epic boobs and decent face today. Got the courage to approach her but when she got out of her car I saw she was only about 1m (3'10''). I was so surprised I forgot my pickup line and all I could utter was "Du bist klein" ("You are tiny"), which can be a decent opener, provided she is no liliputian. I wonder how she could reach the pedals of the car.

LOL. On a day Lamps gets his record, Wigan beat massive favourites Lancaster City to the FA Cup. Really happy for them, they might be relegated but they will play international football next season. This way city can not even come close to emulate our success history in the FA cup in recent years.
-
They beat us in 2011, but their last defeat in a Charity Shield was to us in 2010, when we won the penalty shoot-out
-
Champions league for Chelsea, the record for Lamps. On the downside the red card for Ramires (best big game player my ass) and possible injuries to Azpilicueta and Hazard. Lamps, clearest MOTM ever. His first goal was a really special, difficult strike but his amzing finishing did not let him down at all. His second was a great team effort. Also important it was one of very few games where we stood up and turned a big game even though everything was going against us at first. the Benteke goal, the red card, cahill had scored and baker handled it, still ref saw nothing. TBH the red card for benteke was the turning point.

Forget it. This day is really special for me. You won't spoil it.
