schürrles crosses are so shit

The media say Jose has lost it and shit. He does not care and keeps on winning. That's why he is a champion.
-
Well, they consistently finished in the upper half of the table, I am convinced he can also do this with ManU and even ensure international football^^
-
But even Lamps has to decide whether to score or defend. He is not so good at the latter, so we should balance this with the opponents threat in midfield.
-
Kev Kev is bitching around. But Mou will handle this.
-
New season, hectic schedule, strong opponents and Mou has relied on Lamps's experience to launch our campaigns, rightly so. With the quality of opposition to diminish and Lampard being rested more often I think he can keep up physically when called upon.

The best of our six loanees at Vitesse. Love it how Chelsea II has emerged to one of the top sides in dutch football. Also funny how we top clubs like us abuse the loan-system, having a 75 mans squad, more than 20 players out on loan just for them to increase their value and be sold for profit.

Lars is slightly better and probably easier to get. But still the Benders are extremely overrated here. They are ok player but nothing more. Not really a step up from Mikel and worse than Ramires.
-
Apart from the first 25 minutes, Our pivot absolutely dominated Spurs midfield. "getting annhilated" lol. Could not be further away from the truth.
-
Mata is the better creator and the better attacker, Oscar is the better midfielder. Both can be useful. Against teams like Bayern or Barcelona where we will be in our own half most times, Oscar is much more useful. But against smaller teams that we dominate, Mata should be our no.10.

This leaves us a little thin, but I am sure we can cope. no idea why we did not take Ess in the Squad in the first place. Surely he can cope with the likes of Steaua. Luiz-Rami pivot could be a good thing vs Steaua, too. Against those weaker oppositions where we will see much of the ball, his aggressiveness could help our ball retention. I think in the end it is not too important who we field.. it is more important to get motivation&concentration right. Probably every player in our squad is superior to his Romanian counterpart.

Can't he be nominated because of MvG injury?
-
Sturridge always had the talent and the body to become a very good striker. He is lightning fast, robust, rarely injured, his left foot is venom and his dribbling skills are superior to almost all our players. Still he would never had a chance here to develop like he did at Pool. He would have been an awesome winger in the ink of Schürrle just much better. If he had been okay to be that winger/inside forward, he could have been awesome here. Now we are stuck with Willian, Schürrle and Moses who are not remotedly as talented as him.

No league goals from open play from them since the opening day of the season. They are nothing but the weekly Rooney freekick-goal without RvP. Imagine we had got Rooney. They would not have scored a single goal.
-
who else should one blame if a player is unrightfully sent off? edit: my fault. That comedy was a ref-Vertongen co-production. Vertongen's dving and simulation had Torres booked twice.

Saying "Endurance is a mental aspect" is quite funny. Mo Farah is probably not a great long distance runner because he has the most powerful heart and lungs but he meditates the best and does the most brain training? so we might have to agree of disciplines of athleticism. Football and Basketball are sports where skill is more important than size. my brother is professional basketball player and he is 1,80m and skinny. Still he plays in the first German League. You do not need to be too big to be an NFL wide receiver, still those are the best athletes among football players. Also there are professional point- and shooting guards who are smaller than Nadal. he is 1,85, 85kg, virtually no fat btw. so i would not call that small. Athleticism for me is: Pace+Leap+agility+strength+coordination+endurance, the basic physical attributes of a mammal. An athlete has to be good in all of these. Some sports with long pauses and only short periods of actual physical action like Golf, Darts or American football hence have less all-round athletic demand for some sportsmen hence those tend to be less athletic. Yes American football. Those big linebackers are no great atheltes. They might be strong, but cant even run a 100m without going out of steam. Nor can they leap, turn around in less than 3s. On an American football field, most players need 1 min pause after 3 secs of actual play. Sports like MMA, Rugby, Tennis, Decathlon, Basketball however form amazing athletes cos u have to be show all those abilites at some point.

There are always superior men in the respective disciplines but athelticsm is about you all-round package. You really underrate the physical demands of Tennis. Nadal might not be the best at any of the categories, but he is one of the best all-round athletes. Walcott&Bolt are olympia fast, but at olympia there is only 100m. I know many Tennis players who sprint the 40yards as fast as NFL wide receivers. Nadal is probably more agile than Messi in terms of time he needs to radially alterate the direction of his body. Tennis is one of the sports which requires the highest agility cos you don't have to turn your entire body within millisecs. B I wanna see Messi or Walcott bench as much, beat Nadal in a marathon or leap as high. I wanna see Bolt doing a slalom run or a Marathon faster than Nadal. i wanna see Michael Jordan, Messi or anyone only doing the running of a 6 hours tennis match. Only Tennis players can stand the endurance to stand that sort of strain that long.On the other hand, Nadal would have no problem at all to play an entire Basketball or football match or playing receiver.

This. Ramsey won't carry on scoring forever. Also Arsenal don't have a proper defensive midfielder. Their offensive line with Özil, Hazard, Cazorla, Giroud is a very good one, but the defensive half of the team is not worthy of a title contender. When they lose their permanent goal threat which is only a matter of time, they need their defense to stand firm and I can't see Mertesacker, Gibbs, Szesny playing a whole season on a constantly high level. You need depth and quality all over the pitch to maintain a winning streak against better oppositions. This season can be great for English football btw. Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal have bridged the gap to us and the Manchester teams, esp as the latter have new managers, whilst they only had to tune their squads. With 6 improving teams of young squads the EPL can rule Europe again. You just don't have that anywhere else.
-
76 points will hardly be enough to win the league. Winning streaks and goals are the recipe of success. So far we have achieved neither. The days where parking the bus brings you leagues are over. The offense wins titles now. In the past few years, almost all champions in the top leagues. ManU, City, Dortmund, Bayern, Barca have leaked goals but usually found a way to outscore the opposition. Also I reckon keeping the opponent in his own half and pressing him with all of your squad is better defence than sitting back.
-
Arsenal remains Arsenal. If there is one side, that I am cool with to run away with a lead in the league, it is them. I have never seen such a collection of flashy fair-weather players who suck in crunch time except the national teams of Argentina and Germany maybe.

Last season this fixture was a mess. Unworthy pitch and a ridiculous penalty made us lose. This time it will be different apart from one thing: We completely dominated them in midfield and we will again. I think even a Essien-Lampard pivot could handle those lousy Romanians. Hence we should go out ---------Cech Azpi-Luiz-Terry-Cole ------Rami-Lamps--- Oscar---Mata--Willian ----------Torres-------- and just put them to sleep. . I know we don't like Oscar on the wing, but they will rotate so much, it won't matter. Just press them high up the pitch and bang in the shots. They don't have the pace to hurt us on the counter. It would need much much more than a bad pitch and an even worse ref for them to beat us this time.
-
Makes me ponder. If we had gone out to beat ManU, instead of parking the bus with a 4-6-0 we would have had a great chance to beat them. Anyway. At least Jose's approach makes it unlikely that we give away easy defeats like those.
-
U might laugh but Rafael Nadal actually is one of the best athletes in the world. He is incredibly fast, has immense stamina, is agile, can jump and is strong and has great explosive power. Also many NFL and Rugby players are outstanding athletes. but i do not know much about them. In America there is a whole other culture about athleticism. They also have better experts for sports nutrition and diverse medical substances... David Haye is also an amazing athlete. But we have to take more into account than speed and strength. I think coordination ability is also important. Because of that I'd also have Ashton Eaten, the decatlon champion in the list.
