  1. I can see the decision to make Shreck captain badly backfiriing, he is a whining boy who would drain the club for any money it has- or in Utd's case has not. All he cares is is personal benefits, he does not give a shit about the club.
  2. Remy is a quality 2nd option, so I'd say get him. I have been in Liverpool once and the mere sight of the place triggered such a strong urge to puke in me that I almost had an heart attack even though I have never had any kind of heart disease. NO way I would have accomplished a medical there. So if we spare him this trip, he might be fine.
  3. Considering he would be expensive as fuck and not homegrown so we would have to make space for him, why not simply sign a homegrown CB with some EPL experience? We only need a 4th CB with some experience who could be solid when called upon. IMO we would be far better off with an a cheap but homegrown and proven acquisition like James Tomkins, Ryan Shawcross, Onouha, Ashley Williams and even STeven Taylor. Above-average players in the best age, who know the epl inside out, are more or less in the form of their lives and would not mind sitting on the bench as 4th choice. Recent experience has taught me, big money centrebacks are often not worth what you pay for. People in football pay extra money for players who are popular and do eye-catching things. This might be because of special skills which a CB usually does not require see Luiz or are at a high level in a particularly young age like Rio Ferd. Either way they overpay, cos you can easily get a cheap, experienced CB who never attracted to much attention and suddenly at a top club they make a big step up just as it has been the case with Dante, Sokratis or Cahill. IMO we are in a position where we can easily afford to take that gamble on a 4th choice CB.
  4. Why couldn't Torres be the one to pick up an injury....ah yes he does not even make enough effort to get in danger of injuring himself.
  5. How many positioning errors Zouma has to make until JOse acknowledges he is not good enough yet. Can' believe he was a regular starter for a ligue un team.
  6. when my girl told me Drogba and Torres both to start I thought it was a joke. I hope this is the first and only game when this actually happens.
  7. The shit is, when we have to use Costa all the time, he will be too tired for the end of the season and the big games, picking up injuries every time like he did last season. I can't stress enough the importance of us getting rid of Torres and/or getting another (homegrown) striker.
  8. Yup I also don't get why people want our domestic rivals out of the CL. I wish them to make it as far as they can in the CL. They will not be as focused on the league + when we win the league, the argument we won the best league in the world sound much more legit when there are some EPL teams in the CL semis. Also I'd much rather face Arsenal or City in the CL final than Bayern or Real.
  9. Wenger is such a blowhard. Bracing himself with giving his German players extra holiday. HIS German players did either not even play or were so shit that we'd better play without him and had to carry them all tournament so they should be fresher now than before.
  10. He has to stay.He is one of only 3 HG players. So he is like a bonus. We don't need him, but we can bolster our squad with him. He has decent pace and strength which in combination can work wonders + he tracks back and defends. Also he can play as a second striker. Not too long ago he was the player with the most succesfull dribbles in the whole Prem. There is something left in him which is more than enough for Carling Cup or the first few rounds of the FA Cup and those odd away games agianst MK Zilina and Macabi Haifa in the CL group stages. those games I'd play neither of Hazard, Oscar, Schürrle, Willian but which you also lose when you only play U21 players. If you ask me if this worth the 2,6m he earns per year here according to Google, then I would say yes. He is exactly the player to hold his head high ad give is best when playing shit teams and the arse-end of the world. This keeps the first teamers fresh, us in the COC and in the end ehnances our chances of winning titles on all fronts at least for a little bit.
  11. Frank himself has to acknowledge that this is weird. It looks weird, it feels weird and I am eager to hear what he says about that City situation and why he even signed for the fuckin Sheikh and his City group when his carreer ends. I hope those 6 month will be over fast.
  12. But all in all we got better keepers, a superior defence, midfield and attack. That is why we will smash them again. This time they won't get away with a 0-0 at their Emirates
  13. How come, no one has snapped him up. The best German player for only 25m ?
  14. How come, no one has snapped him up. The best German player for only 25m ?
  15. I can proudly confirm I made some personal attempt to get him out of Chelsea. Went to the Wolfsburg game in Constance today and tried to convince them to buy Torres. tried everything from screaming to preaching and I am pretty sure their management heard me.
  16. Went to Wolfsburg pre season match vs St Gallen today. What a boring match .So I did not lose any time and screamed "Fuckin buy Torres" towards the men I assumed to be their management. AlsoI got autographs of Luiz Gustavo and shit. Great we did not buy him, he looks so fragile and small in person, as if his limbs would break at the next challenge. That's maybe why he is injured right now. After we left, I caught the Wolfsburg team entering their bus so I asked KDB why he left Chelsea in Dutch then in German,English and French, but he did not answer me. But when I asked Rodriguez if he would join Chelsea next year he smiled in my direction.... Anyway I would not read too much into that. Esp now that we have Filipe Luis.
  17. Considering Bayern recently snapped BErnat up, our chances to get him are rather slim. I guess Ake is kinda ready. He had somem impressive cameos and even played some matches in the Europa League. But is Christensen ready, too? Never seen much of him. He will probably not be needed. But Jose tends to loan out the players he will probably not need. The question is. If JOse really considered the possibility of us being in need of a 4th fullback as likely, why the heck should he loan out Bertrand and force himself to rely on the far less experienced Ake then? ACtually i still don't get why Bertrand was loaned out. He is homegrown, so he takes no spot away, is on low wages and does not moan when he does not play. Ergo the Ideal squad player.
  18. IMO every team needs a plan B. And playing two strikers is defo a viable plan b against stubborn and pressing sides.Skipping the midfield battle and playing some old school power football will not only help us against the bottom half but also against aspirants like swansea, southampton or everton. Anyway we would all feel more comfortable with at least another quality striker.
  19. We have: ----------Courtois---------- Azpi--JT-----Cahill--Luis ----------Matic---------- ----Fab------Oscar----- Willian--Costa-Hazard ---------Cech------------- Iva--Zouma---Christensen-Ake (lets pray we will never have to play dat defense, maybe better buy another defender...) ----------MIkel-------------- (ugh) ----Rami----Van Ginkel Schürrli--Drogba--Torres/Salah imo in midfield and defense we are on par - maybe no in depth but surely in quality- with City. The problem and that is scaring me the most is that we have Costa as a striker but no one else with real quality. OK, drogba and Schürrle could help out but City won the league playing two strikers against the small teams, which IMO is the way to go against sides who can give you a hard day when having 11 men behind the ball. We don't really have the players or the variability to play a fluent 442.
  20. yep let's burn our Lampard kits and eradicate his memory and don't call him a legend anymore. Like the Scousers and arse-fans do. I thought we here at Chelsea had more class than that. We could say good bye to Mata with dignity, why do some here try to stain Lampard's name? His move has nothing to do with his achievements here. He is our greatest ever player and what he does after his time at Chelsea has come to an end has nothing to do with that. The titles he has won us, the goals he scored all the great memories will stay. The resentiments some fans might have won't. So don't embarrass yourselves and bear it with some dignity. It is not a great situation to be in. I have been a Lampard supporter for more than a decade and I hate it that he does not play for us anymore. But he has given us everything he could and for me this was enough. What else shall a player do for a club than giving his all week in week out, representing its values and keeping its reputation high? His move to City does not undo any of this and also does not damage the club or its reputation. He has been an ambassador of the club and will be when he rejoins the club in some function any time in the future. Also I don't buy this "what if he scores and wins city the title over us". If our title challenge broken by a 36-year old player in one match, it was never good enough. It seems some here have an agenda against Lamps and only have waited for an opportunity to creep out of their holes.
  21. Of course they do. All we did in the last 3 transfer windows was shipping out quality squad players (luiz, cole, lamps, lukaku, kdb, mata etc) and replacing them by probable first team players (luis, fabregas, costa, matic) resulting in players of lesser quality than of those we sold heading to the bench. Does not really make our squad much stronger, only our first team will improve. In the process we nedlessly reduced our squad size. When we get an injury crisis and the African players leave for the ACN, our chances of winning the league will not be greater than last season. Especially when once again we don't put any trust in our youth players to boost the numbers and help out once in a while.
  22. the ref gave a pen on the exact same incident last time
  23. fun fact: Bremen's entire 29 man squad cost them less (47m pounds) than Fernando Torres cost us
  24. Torres is Torres and Costa could also be a bit more courageous in front of goal.
