  1. Reus is great probably the best German am with Müller and özil but honestly Hazard is a level above. Reus has stagnated a while due to injuries whilst hazard has taken the next step last season. Don't get me wrong, Reus is absolutely amazing I would die for us having him in our team but he is two years older than hazard who has a far higher ceiling. At his best Reus is more effective than Eden but can only dream of having the natural ability to become a the best player in the world.
  2. Lolz. They are a bit late to the party. Sadly the deal is already done.
  3. yup rüdiger is shit. He would be a decent defender if he did not have an absolute brainfart moment (penalty or red card) every other game. He is worse than Luiz in that department. Would anyone really pay 20m for him? 18m euro (about 10m pound) are quoted as pricetag in germany. would that make him more attractive to you?
  4. I have been getting more nervous with everyday jose &/or the board staying in denial of our actual needs passing. IMO keepers are not the reason for our worries tho. Begovic should be good enough. But our lack of options, solidty in midfield and tactical flexibility could be our downfall last season. We looked found out in the second half of last season already and nothing has change. Since Luiz left we have been unable to dominate or effectively play conter-attack in big games, too. Never properly replaced him as DM. Buying Falcao, baba, cuadrado while selling luiz, Bertrand has been complete bonkers. think about treading water. One or two impact signings and the world looks different , but as for now, it looks like games like the swansea one will be a pattern this season. No efficiency. If we lose tomorrow, I fear the psychological blow will be too big to recover as we are shit at chasing. Mourinho of course will play for the draw tomorrow. I desperately hope we somehow play our of our skins like in the city game in winter 2014 and somehow nick a win.
  5. I know it is so depressing. Worst transfer window I have witnessed in more than 10 years as a Chelsea fan so far. Other contenders are 2007 (Malouda, Pizarro, Ben Haim, Sidwell, Ben Sahar) and 2010 (Ramires, Benayoun). Those signings were ok at best but they at least showed ambition to strengthen the squad in depth and in the right positions. I really don't know what to make out of this window We could save money to fund our stadium, but we don't as we want to splash out 50m+ on two young, unproven defenders who are no better than the young, unproven defenders we already got. But no we will never play them cos they did not cost 50m. We could also spent the same money on players who would actually improve us but no. btw Asier illaramandi wants to leave real. Would be a quality backup to Cech who canstring passes together and actually defend. But Jose "needs no midfielders" . Hey, we got Mikel.
  6. Calm down. The opponent was only HIV by far the worst Team in an already shitty league. My cat would score against them. Costa is an OK player no doubt but he will be found out. There is a reason why he only collected like a 5 goals and assists each in the fuckin Ukrainian league. As of yet I would still have Willian ahead of him. Probably he is still better than cuadrado tho but who could have known. Both looked like bang on average wingers with pace and some skill, with cuadrado being in a slightly stronger league. But I am sure, cuad would fare just as well in a Bayern team playing against mickey mouse clubs.
  7. About everyone in Germany hates Chelsea. I think that reaches back to when we thrashed Bayern at the Bridge in 2005. For most Germans we are petro-dollar fuelled rich kids who just buy everyone available, haeno soul and only mercenaries, play shit football. Redundant to say that most Germans are blinkered, ignorant imbeciles. I actually enjoy everyone hating us, it makes us even stronger and closer together. In school, when i was younger I got mobbed for being a nerd and a chelsea fan but then I grew bigger and stronger than all most of classmates it is one of my best ever memories when we won the league in 2010 and esp the CL in 2012 so I could rub it in all their faces. Call me weird but their powerless aggresion and desperate hate gave me such an unique thrill, it was incredible. As for me, I tend to hate the team that is our main rival most. I hated Utd with passion and now I am hating City most, but not to the same extent probably because they are not as successful. Apart from that I dislike about every team in germany because they are all self-righteous small-time cunts who think they are better than EPL clubs. I don't know why.
  8. Moura and Oxlade also cut inside. Every winger cuts inside. This old fashioned go to the byline and cross does not work anymore. Fullbacks are there to create width. Our problem is not a lack of width by the wingers but that ivanovic can't crossand azpi is on the wrong foot to do so.
  9. Of course they are but they got immense depth in midfield, whilst we have none. Which is why injuries are exactly the point. We can't expect Hazard to not get injured again. We are only a couple of injuries away to look like a midtable team. With the big EPL money in, every team in the league has strengthened. There are no easy games anymore. It will be much harder to go on a run like last season. If United get some injuries to key midfielders they can rotate in Mata, Schweinsteiger, Blind or Januzai whilst we could play Moses, Mikel, Ramires or Cuadrado. I hope this won't make the difference.
  10. Whilst I am pretty sure, Utd won't be champions, I got this feeling that they will finish above us. But the big tests are yet to come. Who the fuck are Tottenham and Villa.
  11. It is incredible how this story has been blown out of proportion by media and fans. I am pretty sure Mourinho did not start this on purpose to distract from our horrendous performances but if he did he is a brilliant motherfucker cos it has worked out pretty well. Secondly, I think the a rift between Eva and Mou should not be a problem. Both are professionals. She is obviously a brilliant doc and a strong woman so she should cope with it. Having her around at Cobham is much more important than her job at the games. Most docs can spray ice on a knocked spot or ask the player if he can continue or not. Also I am convinced there are many other capable physios who would work for us. The media is the media, they blow things up for a living, but I feel the support Eva got from supporters is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, one should appreciate the solidarity on the other hand there are comments like "if eva gets fired Mourinho should go" or with "I hope Eva carneiro is ok. I've got a dreadful groin strain she could massage if she wants" being one of the more harmless ones. The kind of patronizing sexism is no solidarity it is as bad as the jody calls she gets during games. Yes Mou can be a jerk at times. But he is the manager and is thus much more important for the team and the club than a physio so we people might stop undermining him even further even if he was wrong on this one. Actually I did not even watch the scene because of which he got mad at Eva and I sure as hell won't look for a video as it is only a bagatelle. At least we should make sure that this trifle does not blur our view on the roles of managers, physios and the right of women to a part of the sports the very same way as men are independent of their outward appearance.
  12. But he takes almost 5 secs for 40m. Maybe he would prefer Tim Visser. Sadly both are not homegrown.
  13. Which would be close to 30m Euros one of the highest ever fees paid for a bundesliga player.
  14. Never ever seen a 6 ft 4 winger. But if this report ismtrue, there i s a good chance inter will go for cuad, as vfl have proclaimed perisic as unsellable.
  15. IMO KDB is twice the player Sterling ist. Just because Sterling is PL proven does not mean he is better. KDB might be Wolfsburg star player in a tailor-made system, but he performs to amazing efficiency. The consistency at that age is what makes him special. But I can't see him replicating his Vfl form here either. Still he will come back to england as a matured player. He knows how to make an impact by now. But I don't see him fitting in City's system. The got enough lazy payers already. I guess he will be Yaya's long term replacement which will mean City have to change their style. Robben was sold because our medical team could not keep him fit. He had the same injury problems at Real, but Dr. müller-wohlfart is specialized on his kind of knee and groins problems so bayern could get him fit faster. But we probably just should have upgraded our medics instead of selling him. could have even got dr.müller-wohlfahrt (Bayern obviously did not pay him too well as he is completely broke now btw) Sturridge was a mistake as it meant keeping and playing torres without alternative. cost us one season. also he scored like 13 goals in 19 games from the right wing under AVB. would still be useful having a left-footed player who can actually score in the team.
  16. I think in the theoretical scenario of rooney and bony completing the same number of matches in the same team, Bony would score more. Rooney is vastly overrated imo, only having scored the amount of goals his reputation would suggest in two seasons. In any other season he scored less than 20. Not sure if Bony is the all round superior striker tho.
  17. I agree, said it before. If he stays, he will play one good season for them and then leave for something in between. On the other hand City and Utd will bid for him next season, too. The resulting bidding war will consolidate the price, but it won't be as high as 34m. We are the only ones in it so far because we probably want him to be JT's successor and due to our lack of English players. But there are so many cheaper young CBs with similar quality: Umtiti, Tah, Jedvaj, romagnoli, ginter, rugani, jetro williams. The dubbed 34m pounds are only about 1.25m shy of Aymeric Laporte's buy out clause (50m euro, 35,25m pounds) and I reckon he is a bit better than Stones already. That sort of crazy money would probably even tempt the madrid teams to sell Gimenez or Varane. Heck I guess we could sign any defender we want for that sort of money bar maybe Silva, Marquinhos and Boateng. Probably those 34m pounds are an exaggeration by the media anyway. The point is. We need a CB and we should sign one even if we miss out on Stones.
  18. just as Stones is not a 34m player and baba is not a 17m player. Big EPL clubs usually overpay by huge sums.
  19. this. IMO in a game like this, Fabregas and Ramires should not be anyway near the starting lineup. IMO we should play Matic-Oscar-Willian in midifeld and Remy or Moses on the right wing. Our fixtures in 2013/14 against themshowed, beating City is about raw pace. Which is why Mourinho will probably play Ramires and that is ok, but playing both Ramires and Fabregas is the worng step, as they are both not deensively solid, only offer that much pace in combination with matic, are not particularly mobile plus usually perform mediocre at best in big games. Willian on the other hand is the only player in our squad apart from Hazard who can lead the transition from a deep position with precision and pace. Hence he is imo best suited to a role in a mid 3 having hazard and another winger next to him when sprinting forward keeping up with his pace and exploit the space behind their fullbacks. I said it before and will say it again. City, esp when they get in KDB are probably the most potent title threads. Yaya knows this is his last year on the top. Also for people like Cichy, Sagna, Zabaleta, navas, demichelis maybe even Kompany, time is running out. And if they keep Agüero injury free whilst avoiding a mid-season slump like they had last season we don't have the squad to prevent them from regaining the title.
  20. Could well be pogba. But i guess he wont come here as we surely would have sent him a private jet for a 80m move. Also there are no direct flights from Turin to Manchester...
  21. That is mainly becaus azpi while being a brilliant player is vastly overrated by mou and on here. Also we play a much more reactive style of defending than fca
  22. More like he will sit on the bench whole season. Also would be curious how he overcomes the space time continuum to play two positions at the same time.
  23. After shaq to stoke it is also rondon ( who was linked with us a few years ago) to wbrom. The whole league getting stronger with us standing still.
  24. Welcome to Chelsea. Make the best out of it and be the proper fullback we have longed for.
  25. So we get in 2 players for 50m who won't improve our first 11,won't win us any titles. We could as well play our own youth products in those positions who are not much worse but simply not as hyped and still win fa and/or coc this season. For more our squad is not good enough with or without baba and stones.
