  1. you can see he is not slow, even if he seldom runs at full pace he is quick enough to get away from defenders... also more important than straight line speed is how fast general movement on the ball and reactions are and at that he is pretty decent i would say compared to someone as ponderous as giroud.
  2. at least we will not be relegated then^^
  3. I think a draw would be fine. So we bette rjust keep 100% posession then a 0-0 is guaranteed #vanGaalstyle
  4. That's true. For someone being called out for his lack of pace for ages he really is quite nippy even if he is not 100% in shape, which probably due to his endomorph body type. And given he has never been super pacey anyway his game is not build on that but rahte rhis positioning and goal instinct. The question is if this does translate to the premier league without any transition and whether his recent decline in form is jus tthat or sign of a permanent decline. 31 is hardly an age for a striker but given he has been around for ages he could be physically worn out just like FAbregas.
  5. Played like shit as usual, socred a graet goal and wasted no time reverting to being shit again
  6. thank god we have an attacking coach. couldn't stand those endless 1-0, 2-1, 0-0, 0-1 streaks under Conte and Mou...oh wait.
  7. Ross alright, I probably agree but he could still hang around as a squad player given he is homegrown and shit. About RLC I would say the jury is still out. I liked most of what i saw from him this season even if played out of position for most of it. Lets see how he fares when he returns from injury and assess his sutiation in the summer. I agree about the othe rpositions tho. But I think if Eden leaves, the way we play will be different altogether. When Eden is on the pitch everyone relies on him which the opponent knows and shuts him out. If not we are less predictable even if we lack quality. We will not be able to compensate his loss 1 to 1 but rather by tweaking the system and buying several new players.
  8. for those who have not already seen it (sorry if repost) there is an excelletn analysis of Jorginho's impact on the team, strengths and weaknesses. Really gave me some food for thought, cos I am still rather indifferent on him. On the one hand, i get the cycling posession, intelligence, team organization stuff but on the other hand is offensive and defensive direc timpact is very limited
  9. Not a fan of Nandez either. I hope we just get Paredes or Barella or both but then we need to shift our focus to Wings and ST position asap. We are effing loaded in midfield already. I really dont get the fuzz. we have BArkley, Kante, RLC, Jorginho, Kovacic, Ampadu.Adn it is not that Jorginho's role requires a unique skillset, it is more mental and tatical conditioning years of physical or technical training.
  10. That's very good news but I have no doubt than sooner or later, just shifting the players this side of the English Channel will not suffice to satisfy some stupid FIFA regulations. I rather think that they will try until they manage to completely illegalize our loan system. Man I hate regulation and I hate FIFA.
  11. Already 28 but at least in form..but would he be a cesc replacement? Rather Barkley upgrade cos he is an Am
  12. Dont wanna get hopes up but it is improbable anyone would be so impolite to reject such a bid within an hour. Usually you would wait a day or so.
  13. Also because of weak lira it is smart to buy in Turkey rn
  14. He looks absolutely average but for that price we can at least make a sizeable profit. Sounds like a typical chelsea deal with the djilobodji of strikers.
  15. Thats a bit harsh. At least Higs is a former world class striker. We seem to like collecting those. Weah, Drogs, Etoo, Torres. Only missing Ibra and maybe bring Ronaldo out pf retirement🤣
  16. What do they mean for someone his frame? He is average height and skinny af. Overall he sounds like a carbon copy of Zappacosta in every aspect built, height, pace, poor output except maybe tackles
  17. Momaco might well give him a try. And it would be a great move for him with thierry henry surely a perfect manager for him.
  18. All but confirmed even by german media https://www.welt.de/sport/article186774676/FC-Valencia-Der-rasante-Absturz-des-BVB-Lieblings-Michy-Batshuayi.html that the loan will be cut short and we will need to look for another club. Shit Favre pulled the plug on the 45m BVB were actually prepared to shed out for him. For the same reason he is prolly not in Sarri's plans: just not intelligent enough, esp in his movement and link-up play. However, what we need now is someone who can put the ball in the net and no matter how poor he is, Bats is ball magnet and he always finds himself in the right place. That is obviously not good enough and once again Marian missed the right time to sell an average player for mega bucks but i am sure with bats blowing hot and cold there will be one dumb club at some point who will shed out the millions for him.
  19. yeah but i said young higuain. in his early years at Real, which is where i watched most of him i did not really notice him attempting long shots very often or scoring. he used to score a few goals in the 20 yards range at Napoli. No one denies Higuain at his peak was a penhomenal striker but he is 31, has a lot of football in his bones, is not getting any younger, slightly out of shape and in a scoring drought. Wilson on the other hand, albeit not remotedly as talented is in the form of his life, at the best age, super fit, sharp and pacey. Trademark Higuain finish will always be channel of the box hard and low in the bottom far corner. Trademark Wilson finish is rounding the keeper with pace and tapping in empty net.
  20. obviously a pens, tap ins and 1 on 1 merchant, which means he excels at the kind of chances we create tons of for Morata and Giroud to miss. Would suit us quite nicely even if he is rather one-dimensional with 0 goals from outside the box and just 3 or so headers. Actually reminds me of a young Higuain. So lets see how the old turns out for that half year and then maybe we get Wilson for 35m or so which would be reasonable if we can't get an absolute A grader like Icardi.
  21. already had that story let's hope Bayern indeed fucked up and contacted him when he was still under 18 or before contacting us. Maybe get them a transfer ban for good measure too
  22. yeah if the club really wants to keep Hazard he should just play Emerson. Hazard loves him.
  23. Does he? I really question his effort. He is always just jogging, never even seen him sprinting, so maybe he's lightning quick and we don't know^^ But surely his commitment to Chelsea can be part of the reason he got a 5 year contract. He at least shows gratitude that we ellevated him to a major player in a big big club other than this thread's guy here.
  24. LOL in any other business you'd go to jail for that clear conflict of interest
  25. yeah i can see the agent telling him what to do too. he is at an age where it is still easy to be manipulated. There has to be found another compensation scheme so that they do not push players to switch clubs all the time.
