shows what Sarri really thinks of CHO. Only played him because the board were afraid he could riot to force through the move. Sarri clearly does not rate CHO which shows what a poor judge of talent he is. Sure, CHO has hardly been breathtaking but Willian has been atrocious.

I doubt that will happen. Barca had the benefit that they could rest many players in the league and the Sapnish league was even worse than it is now. and they had prime Messi. I know it is clutching onto straws but if there is a way to defeat them by luck it has to be in that game. We lose as oon as we concede but if we just don't concede we a have a chance.

They will surely do that but in truth Kovacic is just the ball hog version of Barkley with even less output. He has played at Inter, Real and Croatia in various systems and never really established himself. He has always been the level he is now. Nice floating movement and good dribbling skills and that's it. I don't think he will ever become better. Even at Real who I consider one of the great counter attacking teams 2014-2017 he could not really get his mark, even though he always showed glimpses and can break free with his close control he usually misplaces the pass. It is like Willian. He too on paper is the perfect counter attacking player but just cant make a pass or decision to back up his running. Two of the greatest counter attacking players I have ever seen are Lampard and Ramires. Even if the one did not have the pace and the other one not the skill of Willian and Kovacic, they were absolutely deadly because they always made their mind up early and even at full sprint had the composure and concentration the apply the final pass or finish.

This is obviously a guess just as ours but my dream scenario would be that Sarri one fucking time sees the light, parks the Bus vs City and somehow grab a cup win by pens or a lucky freak goal. Even if the players hate Sarri they will be hurt by that 6-0 defeat and turn up for this one even if they hate Sarri. And on paper Hazard and Higuain are still potent goal threats and bound to score again in a big game

I think this will be a nervy 0-0 I think we will draw vs Spurs, Everton, Leicester and Wolves if Sarri stays. Really no hope reaching CL via the league with him in charge. The only way I see us qualifying is by winning the EL and that only if results fall into our place, e.g. BATE kick out Arsenal, Krasnodar, Donezk, Zürich and all those other clowns somehow kick out their superior opponents. It is really a shame how quickly we have become a mediocre team, we are the 6th best team in the league, have no real chance to scrape a lucky cup win, need results to get lucky in the fucking EL. A few years back we would have wiped the floor with todays Manure, Napoli, Lazio, Inter, Leverkusen even if we'd probably fucked up the league back then too with the attitude of this squad of players.

Actually it was easy to say before too. Some poeple on here actually called that Sarri would be a flop early. And the reasons I gave sometime in spring 2018 were the same as they are now. Not a proven winner, not good enough and too old to change. And your point stands, our players are good enough to be better than what we are seeing. But I don't think it is all on them either. It is not a straight refusal to turn up like in Mourinho 2.0 when they just lost the easiest games. They lose whenever the opposition is better organised which is usually the case cos whatever Sarri asks from them they are either incapale of doing it or it just does not work. And the fact that SArri keeps insisting without changing one bit jsut shows what a poor coach he is. And the thing is, they are not doing anything different than they did early in the season when everything is well it is just teams have adapted but Sarri does not see this. He jsut sees players are failing so it mus be them not being able to execute his oh so brilliant instructions. Our best games in the last few months was vs tottenham at home. We had the luck to score first with some individual brilliance but this was not sarriball. We were far too direct and relying a lot on classic wing play. And that is what summarizes it. We are and always will be at our best without the rigid instructions of posession based tactics.

There is no progression and never has been. we are playing 100% the same as in the beginning of the season only that teams have adapted. This is Sarriball, there is nothing we are in the progress of becoming, this is it the finished product of Sarriball. We are not getting any better with him in charge.

I am 100% sure that will happen. win unconvincing 1-0 vs the clowns and lose at least 3-0 vs City. i fucking hate it. The only chance we have to win vs City is if we sack Sarri, get in a coach who completely catches Pep on the wrong foot until then. He is still young for a keeper and can improve. you can see that he has potential. He would be the last to blame for the defeat today albeit he definitely needs stronger wrists and more of an attitude with regards to those unsaveables. Petr cech would throw himself after any ball even the most ludicrous ones and by doing so made some impossible saves. That is how you get better.

That is wha tmakes a shit coach implementing a system that does not fit the players. As if there is only 1 plan A. City are variable. they can press high and low, they got incredible pace, they can black back 3, back 4, 1 striker, 0 strikers, they have 2 world class players for most positions. And they still have less posession than us on average.

I hope we do. Just because we have been too trigger-happy in the past does not mean we should not sack the worst coach we have had since i started follwing Chelsea.
