  1. I can understand the frustration with losing out on Olise. The whole thing with CP demanding a tribunal and he then instantly signing a new contract smells extremely fishy. Brennan Johnson is underwhelming but the hate is a bit OTT. He has a clear profile. Like a Daniel James re-gen. Lightning fast and can score a goal here and there. Not a 50m player but that is today's market. If RJ is really out for months tho, we should be looking and finding somoene here. Wingbacks are the most important position in our system. Maybe a cheeky bit for Hakimi, City want to get rid of Cancelo.
  2. was about to post the same +Chalobah and Fofana who are both also injured. But now is the time for Bad Taste to step up. He was one of the most highly rated RB prospects when we bought him for exactly this situation. Even though I was not convinced by his unconventional defending he should get his chance now
  3. Passing up on the chance to resign Livramento does not look that much of a no brainer anymore
  4. That’s not how muscles work tho. There are way bigger footballers with less of an injury record. The problem is not size but imbalances. It might well be that his lower body is not conditioned for supporting the bulky upper body repeatedly at speed over long distances or maybe he has asymmetries in his leg muscles or tendons. I still think our medical, physiotherapy and S&C departments suck for not doing better prehab on all our injury prone players esp.
  5. FFS. Absolutely crushing if true. So much for fatigue. Our whole project hinges on him and Chilwell remaining healthy. Not sold on Gusto yet. He better step up big time.
  6. Endo 😂 Tm market value 6.5m sounds about right. He is not even one of the better DMs in Bundesliga. More like average. Will get trampled in PL. granted he is technically ok and can run a lot but he is not physically strong enough, not really has that crunching tackle in him like Caicedo does, is not too good in the air or at shielding the ball. Think they will get amrabat too. Still, when you stoop so low for DM targets there are way better ones. Andrich, Weigl, Stach woudl have worked better for them. Still wonder why no top club has taken a bet on kephren yet.
  7. we are basically handing him out for free. Don't think anyone would hesitate snapping up the free lunch if there were not actual concerns. No one will ensure him without a proper medical certificate. The doctors are just doing their job. He is a cripple, simple as.
  8. ofc last pen taker loses his shit. The system is so fkin rigged. First to take has so much of an advantage.
  9. If he is medically unfit we should be able to fire him. An employee who is unfit to work without a perspective of improvement can have bis working contract terminated even here in Germany were employee protection is super strong.
  10. And another squandered 100% chance by en nesyri city really are not the juggernaut everybody thinks they are. They concede so many chances.a proper clinical team could put them to the sword
  11. Ofc palmer again. En nesyri should have had a Hattrick by now. Sevilla only got themselves to blame for losing this one now
  12. En nesyri missing the easy ones. That one should have been it. Don’t see city coming back from 2 against such a disciplined side
  13. Exactly . LB will always be the realistic position to break into our first team. We have 3 in the u23 rn. Surely Hall should be above them in the pecking order. His crossing is also to good for him to play midfield
  14. Yup, don’t like it. I get we need pure profits but selling youngsters to fund external signings was marina s thing . At least we are only buying other, more talented young players mostly but Hall I think is probably already better than Cucurella who will play in his stead. Terrible business .
  15. I was worried that half of sevillas lineup would die of old age while that cross was in the air but Ey nesiri outjumped Ake and Gvardiol with ease to plant that one
  16. wtf. Utter BS number. Why should we sell him so low tho? We made him sign 6y contract, we can ask for anything we want. Rather make it 50m and 70m buy back if we are going this way. also I don’t see why he can not become our long term left back. Maatsen and Hall are both better than Cucurella. So stop this BS Maatsen as winger, use him as a billy back up and when Hall comes back next year assess who is better by then.
  17. I find Spain has played the more attractive football and are overall more creative, maybe slightly more technical but England looks mentally extremely composed, clinical and tactically smart. Also Will be a tight game.
  18. They played really well. Very assured controlled display , well taken goals . Apart from the Kerr screamer they did not get a foot in. Still think Spain are favourites . Millie bright is a huge liability with her customary 2 moments of madness per game. hope for a Lauren James winner from range tho ofc
  19. Granted there will be good days where everything is clicking and we will blow teams off the park. But then there will be one of these days where we look like drawing to Burnley and you need a natural finisher to somehow shin one in at the death for a scrappy undeserved 1-0. And the latter are the days that win you titles . Without this ability of a good goalscorer to paper over the below par performances that will surely come down the line you can forget about ever winning the title. Sterling is apparently washed up and Auba was already past that. 99% on here had called that he was guaranteed to fail. I did not say we should get a proven PL player or no. 9. It is a terrible market for strikers. Only 10 players last season scored more than 20 goals - in all European leagues. Absolutely crazy. we should accept there are no elite goal scorers available that would bring us forward right now. We should stick with what we have and hope for some of our attackers to discover their goalscoring instincts. My point is we should not expect anything extraordinary from this young squad as they are yet to demonstrate any meaningful scoring impact. We have to be patient. It will be 3-5 years till we can challenge for the league title again. But we might be able to nick top5 and a few cups here and there.
  20. I think we are getting ahead of ourselves here. Lavia and Caicedo are alright, but they are still super young and kinda raw with less than 2 full seasons worth of minutes in PL. They may have world class potential but we should not believe the hype and call them world class yet. Also without a goalscorer this is all worth nothing. Top5 is a reasonable goal. Can see us dominating teams in midfield, blitzing them with our pace but when it comes to scoring our attackers will remain profligate and our goalkeeper is not exactly someone who inspires absolute confidence either.
  21. The hamstring tear Olise suffered from and is currently out with is a grade 3 tear so he might well be perma wrecked already. Not that this comes as surprise as all our big signings are usually either injured, coming off a big injury or injure themselves badly shortly after signing for us. But that is probably the reason we keep stockpiling.
  22. Isn’t Olise basically the same player as Noni? Don’t really see the point of stockpiling wingers again after we just got rid of a few. Same with midfielders. Olise also does not score goals - at least assists some. But for the price it is worth a shot. Just sad to think how many of our wingers and cms will have their career ruined by sitting on our bench watching Sterling stumbling balls into the side netting.
  23. As over he moon with Caicedo and Lavia as the next guy but can anyone tell me why we need this many midfielders of the same age bracket. Next year when the loanees return we will have Enzo caicedo lavia santos casadei Ugo gallagher thats complete overkill. Even with a midfield 3 that’s 2 too many. Hopefully one can still become a striker lol
  24. My highlight was when he was isolated 1 on 1 with a fresh Darwin Nunez, a guy 15years younger, he just waited for the right moment and not only slide tackled the ball off him but also made it ricochet off Nunez legs to win back posession. What a boss.
  25. Of all the mad transfers we recently had, Mudders is possibly the craziest. 100m for a kid from Ukrainian league with a handful of decent CL showings. There has to be some kind of deal with Ukraine government that the fee was paid in some kind of Abrams tank coupons. Superior , proven wingers like a Harvey Barnes or mousse diaby changed clubs for half that money and instantly made an impact. Mudryk is comparatively so immature, uncomposed and hectic. He is like an immensely talented 17 yo but he is already 22. He has very little time left to adjust to this league.
