It was an absolute class move from Lampard back then on both incidents and selfish from Drogba to ask (even worse than Tammy). Lampard said to Drogs ‘I will put this game to bed and you will have your chance on the next’ if Tammy (or Timo for that matter) had approached Jorginho and asked for it it may have been a different story. But Tammy just took it (even tho Timi needed it more) and would have been vindicated in His selfish behavior making Jorginho & Azpi look weak if the captain had not stepped in. Luckily Azpi sorted it out and Jorginho dispatched it. No idea how you can blame Jorginho here. He arrived to the scene last and was handed the ball by Azpi. Handing the ball over again himself would have added even more needless drama.

Crazy to think that we have the 4th best defence in the PL so far. We might not have a good defence, but ManU, Pool conceded the same number of goals (or more) today than we in all 4 games (or City in the last 2). Defending seems a lost art in modern footy.

tbf most of our players are extremely inconsistent and people in general search for simple solutions so alternating between "he is shit, sell him" and "we must keep him, he is useful" is quite a natural reaction. So lets not be too judgemental here. I think it is fair to say that Jorginho is quite good at what he does but overall rather limited so there will be games where he is completely useless and some where he will be bossing it. Given we did not bring a mdifielder and loaned out a few it would be madness to sell him right now, esp to a rival but at the same time we have to be looking out for a long-term upgrade.

what irritates me is that we keep hearing how we are gonna loan out RLC, CHO, Jorginoh, Rüdiger etc who I would have comfortably kept in the squad but nothing about the absolute dregs that are still draining our wage bill like drinkwater, piazon, baba, musonda
