wtf was that. could have easily won it for us today but failed to even execute the most simple of diagonals. his confidence appears to be completely gone.
-
shouldn't be too harsh on his exact words here. it is not his native language and for sure he did not mean exactly 10 goals but into double figures so 10+ which is reasonable.
-
whenever we have the chance to play foward with a quick vertical pass we chose to go the safe route and pass it square. really furstrating. Also Ziyech is maybe the most underwhelming of our signings. Kai gets a pass for now due to the heavy covid fatigue but Ziyech is 27, shoud be on the prime of his game but has let us down since november.
-
word is Tammy was injured. All three of our strikers are not exactly an ideal solution right now.
-
Luke shaw 6ft1 my ass. looks same height as chilwell.
-
Chilwell was alright i thought. Imagine how alonso would have been wrecked today.
-
at least we stopped the diving rat face from doing anything at all
-
felt like a 0-0 all day long. not enough decisiveness. Ziyech was absolute pants. his bad finish cost us the win.
-
no idea if tuchel told rüdiger to stry out of position and tackle players at the halfway line but it is effective so far, risky tho
-
giroud is off, utd instantly drops back 20m
-
giroud was dire today
-
lack of physicality. i do not think he is ready to play no.9 in the PL right now vs guys like maguire. not even as false no.9 yet.
-
tammy injured apparently. giroud really allows utd to push high and commit players forward. maybe we should rather try timo as cf once more
-
they are all awfully slow
-
ffs pen to utd what a surprise
-
HUGE match. They opted for pace. james, rashford, greenwood all rapid. have to keep them in check. hope we dont push too high.
-
The lineup looks familiar. maybe it is bc i basically posted that lineup (bar silva-christensen who i did not know was unfit) twice the last few days. The one thing that is a bit of a concern that without Pulisic or Werner we lack a bit of raw pace in attack. But our objective is probably not playing on the counter anyway and rather to suck the life out of them with our posession. lets hope it does not fire back
-
Well, duh. Of course it’s our style that limits his chances Question is why he insists on keeping both. Either play more counter attacking to suit Werner or play a different player.
-
Martinez top of the list does not surprise me at all. Quality goalkeeper who compensates a lot of defensive errors from his rather average defenders. Also my prediction was that we will concede the least amont of goals per match with Mendy, chilwell or silva playing still looks decent enough. Obviosly kepa was the major reason we conceded so many last season but Tuchel has given us an extra edge defensively.

Interesting tactic by Pep to have a CB join the attack to provide a focal point from time to time to break down a disciplined defence Btw the goal by Stones is the exact kind of chance Chilwell had when he skied it vs Wolves (and similar to the one Alonso put in the keepers arms vs Southampton and Newcastle). Helps when your defenders are proficient at sharp direct finishes as well. Both Soucek and Rice would actually improve our midfield massively. There is nothing Jorginho can do that Rice can not. On the other hand Rice is both disciplined in his positioning defensively as well as more than comfortable moving with the ball in the final third. Something you hardly see Jorginho doing.
-
Impressive by Wham to play football vs ManCity, match them blow for blow and not get slaughtered. Testament to how an elite midfield like Soucek and Rice changes an entire team of otherwise average players. 2-1 Still point stands. city win actually better for us
-
nice one. with both players scoring almost never you will get absurd odds for that if you are a betting man.
-
The main difference is that Sarri was obsessed with his 4-3-3 adn insisted us only learning to play 4-2-3-1 once the 4-3-3 is mastered. Tuchel doesnt care much about the system and more about how the team moves as a unit in defence or attack, pressing or counter attacking. If he can translate this onto any system it does not really matter too much which system he picks.
-
how did Leicester manage to lose vs those minnows ffs. probably on purpose to lock down 4th place.

I would love to see Haaland in PL. I think it would be a completely different challange as like you said, defenders here are way bigger and more athletic than in Bundesliga. Haaland might be able to bully BuLi defenders but i can totally see him just bounce off Zouma and not get the foul. Not carryign too much muscle is why he is so athletic and mobile for his height. Putting on more might change his playing style. But if he gets the balance right, i can see him become a mix of ibra and prime drogs.
