Leverkusen just clinched the Meisterschaft in style. 2nd half Hattrick from sub Wirtz triggered the fans storming the pitch each time with the last one ending the game prematurely to the tune of Edward Elgars Land of Hope and Glory. Now there are 30k fans on the pitch celebrating the first Bundesliga title in their history with the players. When was the last time you saw something like that ? Maybe the most deserved and dominant Bundesliga championship ever seen. even for neutrals an amazing piece of German football history.

Klopp would have only half the titles if we didn’t gift them 4!! with our poor finishing and terrible pens record. So annoying
-
They won’t. Dortmund was in an even stronger position after back to back championships in 2012 and still were picked apart. But Alonso right now is the best coach in the world. He is meticulous and pragmatic like Mourinho but with a far more attractive brand of football. I can see him annoying Bayern again next season if they fail to strengthen their midfield in summer
-
42 games unbeaten . Will be interesting to see them in cl next season if they can keep the team together 2-0 tie over. Injury time is Alonso time
-
Leverkusen are impressive. The endless patience and resilience with which they can grind down any opposition is something very few teams possess. This 2nd half was one of West Hans best defensive displays ever and still not enough 90% sure they will win the treble
-
Clearly they want to go out of the meat grinder to focus on the league

Exactly. Enzo had no problem last season playing next to any one of our midfielders back then be it Kova, kante, gallagher or even RLC. The problem is not that we ask Caicedo to do too much. The problem is he fails even at the few things we actually do ask of him. We should just accept the fact that we flushed down another 100m. Not the first time and surely not the last under this administration.

There is no use to a new stadium that costs around 1bn when it just gives us a matchday revenue bump of 40m. Given higher maintenance cost and all that it would take over 30 years for it to amortize. We will need to find other revenue streams. In the grand scheme of things other assets will be more valuable. Player prices for example are inflating way quicker than ticket prices. Just sell one reasonably talented academy graduate more per year at some point.

He was not even half bad until his mistake yesterday but now his confidence is probably shattered and he will be anonymous at best for the next 10 games again. Was never a fan of his, hated us signing him and unfortunately was proven right. Overall he is just a an absolute train wreck of a footballer. His potential is average at best. One of the worst midfielder we have ever had playing consistently. I was wondering if maybe Antony was in a similar category of flop but I guess we saw the answer yesterday. Caicedo is clear.

Sesko is basically like Broja. Big, strong, quick but a slow mind, eyes always on the ball, never looking up. I am not 100% sold on any available striker but the more I see of Gyökeres the more I think he might be true better fit compared Osimhen. Also both are quite similar in height, physique, pace. The Nigerian is better in the air but the Swede is far superior technically. Could suit us better when we operate vs low blocks and in tight spaces
-
The last part is probably a bit of a stretch nonetheless he is an absolute gem. Esp given the responsibility he shoulders at this young age. We are basically Palmer FC atm.
-
I would say that is not so much of a remote chance but almost a certainty. Just given the incompetence of everyone in charge atm there is 0 chance of us competing for big titles ever again under this ownership. I have been saying this for months and it is time fans get adjusted to this reality that Chelsea is now a mid table club no matter how much we hate. No managerial change, tactical or personnel switch in defense or anything else that can be done instantly or within a transfer window will fix this. The whole club hierarchy and structure underneath is rotten. however, I don’t think we will be relegated any time soon simply bc the club is still generating above PL average revenue to maintain this current structure. With a few big sales of homegrown players even the massive debt loaded onto us by clownlake’s brainless transfer strategy etc can be managed. if we look soberly at this young squad, yes most are overpriced hyped up pedestrian kids but they are reasonably talented, roughly on a PL average level . Surely there will be three worse teams every season.
-
Just a couple of months ago almost no one had heard of gyökeres. Now he is the real deal? Granted his highlight reel looks impressive. There is almost nothing he can’t do. He is fast, good on the ball, great dribbler, nimble while still being reasonably tall and strong, thunderous shot with both feet, super aggressive and sharp what I like most. Makes chances for himself but also great link up play. Only thing that looks suspect is his heading. Far cry from the player who looked decidedly average at St Pauli. Is he better than Osimhen? He looks more complete and sure is a lot more fun to watch but so far he is just a one season wonder.

Last time we won vs Leicester in an fa cup quarter final we won the whole thing. Remember that scrappy Torres finish wobbling over the line in slomo. agree with the sentiment that I would rather face city now than in the final. Given our record in Wembley finals recently we could vs training cones and lose . At least no chance of losing another one vs Liverpool now
-
This settles it. Poch and the Americans have dismantled everything this club ever stood for and stomped it in the trash. The whole identity of this great club lost in months.
-
When Mourinho or Conte remarked the obvious favouritism for manure and Liverpool before games it usually backfired as the refs doubled down by making even more ridiculous calls against us.
-
it does indeed not matter one iota who they field they will still be favourites bc they are simply more competitive as a club and group of players atm. still we have an outside chance if we actually turn up this time. best chance we have is ironically on pens I think. Fourth time lucky. This kelleher lad never saves one while petrovic is an quite savvy at it.

Sarri before TT is criminal. The old smoker is not even top 20 of all time for me. was here just a year, dumped Jorginho on us, was carried by Hazard to the EL title and then just took his hat. Not to mention the ugly rigid football we played was even more eyesore than the last TT days. That 6-0 thrashing by City is one of our worst losses in recent times. also in terms of great managers and we must never forget Vialli and Ranieri cos they were the ones that put us on the map to even be considered by Roman and ultimately instigated the rise of the club. Ranieri also played a great part in developing JT and Lamps. Many fans, esp younger ones think Mourinho was some kind of founding father of CFC when in fact the club has a 100 years history prior to him that ultimately let to us becoming a European powerhouse with a huge brand, traditions and a part of both sports and popular culture in England and globally.

Fingers crossed for many injuries and red cards for the dippers

31 in summer. Would be madness plus he would never come here
-
Ten Haag is a bit of a tumbler . He has managed to get them back on track multiple times now after repeated streaks of embarrassing results. Many manager would have bitten the dust already. On the flip side it prevents them from making another big break and possibly coming back stronger. It’s good the rest of their operation is so fked up so they won’t be a title candidate anytime soon.
-
He did in Bundesliga.
-
Not sure if vizekusen can be caught now. They would need to have a significant drop in performance. Only 3 tough games left for them. Played Bayern, Leipzig, Gladbach all twice already. but as seen in their loss today, TT is not the problem. Their squad has become stale. The club is toxic. They had no real rejuvenation since winning the pretend-Cl in 2020. The you get players they are bringing up don’t quite have the quality.
-
Still do not know what to to make of Hojlund. One day he looks like Haaland, the next he looks like Havertz.
-
Opposite to many, I would still count this as one point won. True, we could or should have been 3-0 up at HT. But then again we have been wasting these kind of chances for years now and Haaland usually has not, so it was probably fair to go with a lead into the last 20 mins. But honestly we were never gonna keep a clean sheet vs City of all teams. They have so many quality players to bail them out when things are going against them. Poch clearly had the team well prepared for once. Palmer, Jackson, Sterling were indeed visibly tired. Subbing on Trev for his comeback was a head scratcher but his fitness has nothing to do with the equaliser.
