  1. What a goal from look man. I was just about to say what a tactical masterclass this has been from Atalanta so far. lookman super sharp again. Just moving too quickly for everyone else
  2. I agree what a weird choice. Andrich and xhaka such a great shield for the defence. Palacios not on the same level. Esp now it has backfired cos subbing on andrich wont be of much use when hunting the Equalizer. Still I expect them to find it
  3. Was thinking the same… honestly had to google if they they meant Kieran or Kevin McKenna lol Poch is not perfect but replacing him with someone who has 0 top flight experience would be an even dafter move than downgrading from Tuchel to Potter. (However, my nightmare would actually be Todd bringing in Jürgen Klinsmann. Would be completely random but Americans just love him ^^) I don’t really like Poch tbh, too spursy for me. But the players do, apparently. We are not winning anything big next year anyway so hiring someone for short term success at the cost of player development would probably backfire. A few, actually. Flick, Tuchel, kovac and Allegri have all somewhat recently shown they can do it. Would draw the line at Conte. Not even starting with Löw, Santos, Favre or even Jose. It is probably less about serial winners but also about personal fit. This would make flick more likely cos he is soft spoken and empathetic like Poch, good with young players not as intense as the other 3
  4. Has Sorloth actually come good or just had a purple patch this season? I remember he was abundantly shit for Leipzig and Palace and his overall goals record in top leagues is still terrible for a striker.
  5. has become a real possibility. I am 99% confident Ewigkusen will easily dispose of Atalanta and even more certain Dortmund will succumb to Real Vardrid. If BVB however complete the ultimate football mircale, Frankfurt would indeed play CL (quite undeservedly so btw)
  6. Just looked at the very same stats. Lampard obv had more assists 2009/10 and more non-penalty goals and was a pure midfielder, Drogba obv a pure striker so both not really comparable. The comparison to mata is probably more apropriate but mata too did not play any game as false 9. Still maybe the most impressive debut season of a young player ever for us
  7. We should be all over this if true. Would be perfect for our Defense with his proactive style and is supposedly a leader.
  8. Btw lets all hope Bayern snaps up De Zebri, now he has been fired, before Todd gets ideas lol
  9. If they pull this through to the end and win the triple that should be one of the football miracles of our lifetimes. On par with Leicester's title, Kaiserslautern's, probably above Greece winning Euros, our CL win 2012 and Porto's under Mou in terms of probability.
  10. Greatest Bundesliga season by one team ever. Arguably more dominant than Bayern's 2012/13. Btw Bayenr somehow managed to lose 2nd place at the end. Coming 3rd in 2 horse race in an otherwise 1 team league is something.
  11. Most important thing is Wirtz being fit. He looked shot in EL vs Roma but apparently nothing serious. One of the few flair players in the squad, we will need him at his best for the Euros.
  12. Surprised this has been so quiet when the last few weeks have been one of the most dramatic title race twists in WSL history. After losing at Anfield and conceding the title being 3 points and several goals on GD behind City, our girls went on to win 8-0 while City conceded a last minute goal to lose vs Arsenal regaining the advantage. Before today both teams sat equal on points with us having the superior GD and more scored but the way harder final match at OT. So it basically came down to a shoot out today. Luckily our women are hammering ManUre currently. Scoring with almost every shot. An admirable display of winners' mentality and something they can teach the men all about. There are good days and bad days but using the chances you get when it really matters is ultimately what distinguishes champions from would-bes.
  13. Especially since they are all left footers, preferably coming off the right all four of them lol. Same as Madueke and Palmer. There really seems to strategy behind them other than stockpiling talent. Even with our injury record potentially 6 players for one position is excessive. I assume kendry can be more of a midfielder, Estev more of a striker while angelo and omari can play as no 10 and LW as well. Nonetheless 2 of them will be sold within the next 15 months for sure
  14. Quite a bit of money for someone with only potential, no experience. Really hope he is as good as they say. Physically he looks extraordinarily lanky, more so than the average 17 yo with his twiggy bones. Let’s hope he does not get eaten alive in PL.
  15. We either need a point plus Manure not winning FA cup or we need to win and Spurs to lose. The first scenario would be my base case.
  16. Many have had doubts but Todd Boehly's dream has eventually come true. After spending over 1bn we are finally slightly better than his great paragon Brighton HA.
  17. I really hope not. He has been an absolute beast since his return. Also doubt he would fetch that much.
  18. the decison is absolute bonkers given what Brighton have gotten away with today. but also stupid from RJ to even stretch his leg in this situation. It is clear we have been targeted by VAR all season. Just get this game over with
  19. that will be a red for sure but its ridiculous.
  20. ridiculous from Joao pedro there. that should get a yellow for simulation, instead VAR is probably punish RJ
  21. Yeah he took it away from goal and also there was no real contact. Red would have been harsh, even though Brighton should be playing with 9 already. Anyway, Nico could have gone around him but his touch was a bit heavy so he decided to take off and draw the foul.
  22. their goalie looks like frankenstein's monster.
  23. Spuds slipping up in a vital game would not be a first but would make PL teams failure to secure that 5th CL spot even more annoying. However, I do not see City passing up the chance of winning another double. But based on how we played for the majority of the season we do not even deserve EL, it is just the teams above us have slipped up repeatedly, which has been a common theme in the past few seasons in the reace for the european places. A bit more consistency and better finishingand top 4 is probably within reach next season.
  24. very nice finish by Nkunku but even better assist by malo and madueke. RJ coming on or not? Such an eventful evenign btw. The moment Manure equalisted, Chelsea women regained control of the title race.
