Better start from us today than on tues have to make it count

And then he is complaining about tiredness when he runs the Same ppl in the ground week for week with a fresh attack on the bench

I think it’s 4231 no idea why he keeps persisting with that dreadful Ziyech Lukaku combo would rather see the Timo Havertz one

with the new fifa loan regulations, this is the kind of signign we will be making more often. 18y.o. for little money who we can loan around for 3 years and then sell. More risky than before tho, cos if we dont manage our tiny senior loan quota properly we will be stuck with them

I like that lineup mostly, but i think Conte has sussed that 4-2-2-2 now and we should try something different Maybe more like a 4-3-3 Azpi---Thiago---Rüdiger--Sarr ------------Jorginho---------- ------Kova---------Mount--- Puli---------Kai-------Timo a bit Sarri style. Usually gave us control, allows us to load the midfield which conte teams usually struggle with, without exposing the flanks like we did in the 2nd half at spurs in the cup semi.

I posted the stat when it was 60games 4goals just a few posts up this page. Always has been a poor finisher. Even in the training footage that is regularly released by the club, in those exercises where everyone gets free shots, he is the one who fails most often. Albeit that is selective probably not a coincidence

Apparently we have had a bid accepted for the left back Dylan Williams from Derby. He is about to join the club in the next few days. He is only 18 and probably a signing for the academy team rather than the senior squad. Still, crazy fact after Williams signature: Only now we have one single adult left back at the club across all teams (including u8 to u23) who is not injured and not named Alonso.

Traore under Conte could be a weapon. would not be the dumbest move to go for him. low risk high reward kind of deal...

Torres and Sheva you are probably right. Both were over the hill and ppl should have seen that Ballack however could have gone anywhere as a free agent and still chose us. He was one of the best central midfielders in the world at that time still. The narrative in German media was very clear he came here bc he saw us as the best shot to win CL even if that did note materialize until 2 years after his (imo premature) departure. We surely have signed young potentially world class talent a lot in the past and fend off interest of arguably bigger clubs. Robben, KDB, Salah also had a relatively free pick. But the point that we never truly signed an absolute super star at the peak of his powers remains. There are reports we came close with Messi and Ronaldinho in the past and only failed bc of details. So i would categorically say that these player shun us at all costs. In the end those deals do not happen too often and there is a multitude of variables in those deals. For the current generation we surely are not the first (or 2nd address). Yet, i would consider it possible that one day in the near future we pull a galactico deal off. the stars have to align, surely. But we have the financial firepower to do it and as a very popular club one is bound to have a bit of emotional attachment which could tip the scales. Even if we never were to pull one off, I would not mind as long as we stop spending galactico money on sloths like Lukaku. The players who atm rule world football like kdb, salah, mane, silva all were not superstar signings at that time of their latest switches and still were relatively safe bets for reasonable money. Those are the kind of signings we should aim for. Also, for me, Ngolo was a the best defensive midfielder in the world the moment we signed him and we got it done bc we were the first address. Maybe not considered a galactico deal bc of how cheap we got him with only one wc season under the belt but Real and PSB bid 100m+ for him few years later. Nonetheless, he extended his contract for me. Getting and retaining him for me is at least as good if not better than a haaland or mbappe signing.

tbf 6 have come in the incompetence league. You can hardly count that. But yeah, i predicted he would do well there bc of his athleticism. I guess you could send michael antonio or broja there and they would easily score 20+ serie a used to be good defensively but it is telling how well even slow grandpas like giroud, dzeko and zlatan are doing.
-
damn this how could arsenal fuck up this badly. i thought that they hd retained some amount of solidity after they held the dippers at anfield. but no they never showed up at the library Just hope salah and mane will be completely burned out from afcon when they return
-
If only his first touch was Lukaku was his main problem. He just has a shit attitude, lazy, no fire left in him. Clearly does not want to be here. does not even give a damn about his personal glory yet. Just here to collect his paycheque. While having won fuck all besides grandpa league in his entire career.

Dembele has never played wing back and probably does not have the discipline for that role so I don't see any sense in signing him unless we will sell some wingers in return. Most of our attackers do not get enough game time anyway. Fun fact to lighten the mood is that Dembele cost Barca more than Lukaku cost us and now they are losing him for naught despite him being only 24.

Tottenham are becoming a threat. We just have to beat them for a 4th time this season. apart from trips to city and liverpool, their remaining schedule is quite easy. Esp their last two games are gainst norwich and burnley who will be relegated by then. Also they have mostly home games left. Arsenal also have more home than away games left. Will probably get edgy again but in the end we will seal it.

Wtf I turned off when it was 2-1 2 mins before it was ht thought it was done ffs can you believe that hiw did Leicester fail so hard
-
The poorer manure are defensively the more he shines. Under ole esp in 2020 they were quite solid and he made one blunder after another. Probably needs the constant tension he is one of these old school goalies position wise who stay more in the line to make spectacular saves rather than support the high defense line by proactive play.
-
Tottenham were the better side but get punished on the break. Need to treat them just the same
-
Cucurella also gave that great cross for their equalizer at the bridge
-
Rüdiger needless yellow Alonso into a 2m distant wall ffs ref
-
As dangerous as he looks lamprey agaiN Has been ineffective 0g 1a all season as the most offensive fullback in the league if RJ would do that ppl would be furious
-
I think we can pull it off in some games but not this one
-
We should go back to 3atb or we will concede another
