Keeping Falcao quiet will take at least 2 defenders, that leaves more space for our other players to exploit. So to me that's not a 'valid argument' against not having a specialist... Not being funny, just my opinion

This whole positioning argument... Someone show me the 'blueprint' for success - show me that if Luiz had been in position X instead of Y we would have done ABC Luiz was closing down higher up the pitch and stopped Norwich passing as much, relying on longer balls or putting themselves under pressure - when was the last time we had a player do that!!! I don't buy it - I don't buy he's as bad as some of you make out, he's dominating the midfield and doing everything he can to get the ball back... He created at least 1 goal scoring opportunity - I'm sure there was a second too! Ok his shots were very wayward, but it shows confidence and if one had crept in, people's reactions would be so different. Can we just agree to hold the 'venom' for a little while and give him at least 10 games

Well its an Internet forum with disparate geographic people, religions and beliefs. I actually don't think it's all that bad to be fair. Agreed we (me included) need to stop the black and white stuff e.g. Torres fanboy/hater etc and just keep it all in perspective. This!!! I cannot even believe this is up for debate a 6month loan deal with an option to buy! I mean this guy was and has been regarded as one of the best strikers in the world! A few injuries have screwed his career but he's still a class act!!! If we sign him, he would be immense - imagine what the players could learn on the training pitch with this guy around.. I just cannot see any rational argument against this?

Haha I just don't have the time or inclination to 'back-up' my statements - I'm on holiday and work consumes 99.9% of my life the remaining 0.01% is everything else. It's just my opinion, I think Luiz and Rambo or Luiz and Romeu (when fit) would offer more in that position. I just don't trust Mikel, he (to my eyes) appears lazy and lacklustre, whereas (to my eyes) Luiz is all over the pitch bossing everything. I think the problem is with Oscar / Hazard comparisons and you're being unfairly targeted despite you saying you like both players If you switched your flag from Brazil you wouldn't get half the attacks But I love Brazil and Belgium - so don't want you to do that or the attacks.. Brazil - for gorgeous women and the 'brazillian' Belgium - for great beer (Stella) and the best racetrack ever Spa So hopefully the 'B' countries will get along soon

For BA it was definitely a bigger club, he signed from West Ham and I don't think he expected Newcastle to have such a great season, but with the arrival of Cisse, he still hasn't dropped that clause... Yeah agree sometimes players have ridiculous high release clauses, but some have semi-reasonable ones and that's what I'd classify Falcaos at, semi-reasonable if offered, think he would move

I think 12 million initial payment was OK for a young potential - same as Arsenal paid for Walcott IIRC. I think if he didnt make it we could recoup the potential 18 mill - so not a huge gamble Certainly not a 50 million one Dunno what the MOTM stuff is about either???

Well having been at the ground and chatting to the season ticket holders around me, they want Luiz in DM. They want leaders, they want passion on the pitch, I agree. You don't have to be the best technical player, sometimes just wanting it more is enough! Our CL win should have proved that And I have no doubts Luiz will get better and better in this role. I don't hate Mikel, just think he is a squad player at best...

If we meet his clause, then the convo is between Falcao + Chelsea, Atletico don't have a say...I would assume anybody putting in a release fee clause IS interested in moving otherwise why have it?
