JACK Cork is quitting Chelsea in the summer after accepting he will never force his way into the first team. The midfielder, 20, has just ended a loan stint at Burnley – the sixth of his Chelsea career. And he is now ready to end his dream of playing for the Blues and find a permanent new home. His father Alan, former Wimbledon striker, said: “I think he’s pretty much realised now that it’s not going to happen for him at Chelsea. “He has been there since he was seven but they have got about 40 players and just won the Youth Cup. “They have a lot of good young players. “They have Ryan Bertrand who has been out on loan at Reading, Scott Sinclair at Wigan and Michael Mancienne at Wolves. “If eight or nine of them go back at once they’re not all going to get a game. “Jack has got two years left on his contract at Chelsea, so it’s all down to what they want to do. I think Coventry put a bid in.” DAILY STAR

Carlo Ancelotti has told how fierce rival and former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had been one of the first to congratulate him for clinching the Premier League crown. He added: 'Jose won two titles with Chelsea after a 50-year famine and he will always remain special. He sent me message of congratulations which was very kind of him.' He said: 'I knew they were a first rate side - well organised and I didn't make a mistake. 'All the staff are top level I just had to pick up the keys when I arrived.' Ancelotti also added that he had been given the green light by millionaire owner Roman Abramovich to go out and buy players He said: 'Some will arrive but I'm not sure who yet. Milan star attacker Alexandre Pato has pledged his allegiance to the Rossoneri, saying that it will be up to the club to sell him, and not vice-versa. The Brazilian has been linked with a transfer to Chelsea and Real Madrid, possibly reuniting with former coach and now Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti, although the Italian did distance himself from rumours of a link with Pato on Tuesday. "I am very happy here at Milan and want to remain to win everything," the 20-year-old told TMW. "But ultimately, I am a Rossonero player, and the society decides my future. "Should Ancelotti call, I will only say 'hello' to him. If he were to ask for a transfer, it would still be up to the society. "Carlo is a great person, and not only a good friend. He helped me develop in Italy, but I have a contract with Milan until 2014, and would be very happy if I remained." Goal.com

Real Madrid are ready to launch a summer bid for Chelsea and former Arsenal left back Ashley Cole. The England international, who won the league at Stamford Bridge yesterday is rumoured to be the subject of interest from the Madrid club, with bookies tipping Cole to leave Chelsea this summer with the “Galacticos” the favourites to secure the left back’s signature. Ashley Cole moved to Chelsea in 2006 after the player’s relations with Arsenal soured following Cole meeting illegally with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and Chief Executive Peter Kenyon, culminating in Arsenal selling Cole to Chelsea in a cash plus William Gallas deal that was confirmed outside of the summer transfer window. The former Arsenal invincible swapped red for blue and lifted the Premier League on Sunday after beating Wigan Athletic 8-0. Despite success Cole has struggled of late off the pitch due to allegations about his private life and marital affairs, resulting in Cole splitting earlier this year from wife Cheryl Cole. Reports suggest that Cole could be set to leave Stamford Bridge for a new start abroad, with bookies tipping Real Madrid as the most likely destination, while Inter Milan and AC Milan are also mooted as possible destinations. Sports bookmakers SKY BET have opened a book on Cole’s destination following the reports linking Cole with a new start abroad. Cole can complete the domestic double on Saturday if he helps his Chelsea side overcome Portsmouth in the FA Cup. http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/38045/Real_Madrid_ready_to_snare_England_star.aspx

Chelsea's Florent Malouda believes Frank Lampard is getting more credit than his performances deserve and says he is frustrated at Stamford Bridge playing second fiddle to the England midfielder. Malouda said that Lampard's status at the club is enhanced by his role as a leading England player in a World Cup year. "It's his position in the national team," said the France winger. "He plays like that in the England team, and we are in a World Cup year. But at a certain point, the status has to be in relation with the performances." Malouda has made nine Premier League starts this season and has had talks with manager Carlo Ancelotti about his discontent. He believes Chelsea would not be willing to let him go but insists he will push for a departure if things remain the same. "Before the match against Birmingham, I talked to the coach to tell him about my frustration," he told L'Equipe. "The frustration is above all for the big games. I'm ready to look elsewhere. Finding another club is not a problem. But the club has closed the door to any departure, whether it be in January or in June. The coach is counting on me. We'll see from now until the end of the season." At the end of last season Malouda was linked with a move to AC Milan or Barcelona, but the 29-year-old signed a new contract in the summer, tying him to the Blues until 2013. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jan/02/malouda-lampard-Chelsea-ancelotti-england

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger has mocked Chelsea’s claims they are now debt free and has accused Premier League clubs who fail to balance the books of cheating. Chelsea this week announced they had effectively wiped out their £340 million debt after owner Roman Abramovich converted his loans into equity, and they are now ready to pay £40m for Valencia striker David Villa. When asked about Chelsea’s boast, Arsene Wenger smiled broadly and said: “Well, you know we are in a period of magicians.” Portsmouth were served with a winding-up petition and again failed to pay their players on time. West Ham, Arsenal’s FA Cup opponents tomorrow, are still searching for a new owner to clear a £70m debt. “Professional football is about winning and balancing the budget,” said Wenger. “That’s the basic rule, one I fought for. All the rest is half-cheating. For every club it has to be the same. I always pleaded for financial fair play. “The clubs belong to the fans. That’s all I feel my responsibility is, to keep the club in good financial condition.” http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/149284/Arsene-Wenger-slams-debt-cheats-

Florent Malouda has admitted he could leave Chelsea if he does not get a regular run in the side. The Frenchman has found first-team opportunities hard to come by because of Carlo Ancelotti's change in formation. Malouda has been relegated to the bench because of Ancelotti utilising a 4-3-1-2 system this term. French international Malouda enjoyed arguably his best season at Chelsea in 2008/09 and he is frustrated at not being first-choice in Ancelotti's starting XI. Malouda has spoken to Ancelotti about his frustration, but he revealed the club will not allow anyone to leave before the end of the season. Malouda told L'Equipe: "Carlo Ancelotti's tactical system is physically very demanding. Recently we showed less intensity, the game was less fluid. But that system allowed us to be in our current position. All the players support it. "Before the match against Birmingham, I talked to the coach. I told him about my frustration. "I believe I have succeeded in my start to the season, but during the key matches against Arsenal or Man Utd, I was on the bench. "I have ambitions for the World Cup, and considering my status in the French team it is a little annoying (being on the bench). "Ancelotti is aware of it. But currently I am paying for that system. It is not that easy for him either, he has a big group to manage. "My competition with Lampard as left midfielder? It is his best position. He played like that in the England team, and we are in a World Cup year. "But at a certain point, the status has to be in relationship with the performances. "Anyway, I am fine so far. I could still be outstanding when I play. Frustration "The frustration is big matches. However, if there is no place for me in that system, I could go somewhere else. "Finding a new club is not a problem. But the club has closed the door to any departure either in January or in June. The coach relies on me. "I feel fine at Chelsea. But now, things have to change. When I came I was labelled as Mourinho's player. I have known five coaches and each time I have had to start again from scratch. "Last season I earned a key-player status. Today it has been questioned again." SkySports
