  1. Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has hinted he may let Chelsea have a free run at Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho. Both giants of European football have been linked with a move for the forward who is currently struggling to make the Barcelona first team after a poor run of form. Milan had always appeared to be strong suitors given their talented Brazilian contingent and draw as one of Europe's most historic clubs, but Berlusconi appears to have cooled his interest in the two-time World Player of the Year. Reports in Spain have claimed that Chelsea are closing in on Ronaldinho's signature and the Milan supremo gave off an air of indifference after watching his side, complete with new prodigy Alexandre Pato, rout Napoli 5-2 on Sunday night. "In all honesty I am not disappointed with this news," Berlusconi told Sky Italia. "We never said we'd do anything for him. "I believe a great player can always find space in a team, but with the stars we have now that could spark some problems in the dressing room. "He is not in good form and is even disappointing Barcelona fans." http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Foo...-on-Ronaldinho/
  2. i agree m8 i think alves is the best option for the right-back postion but i wish Belletti was 26 because he has be brilliant for chelsea this season
  3. Chelsea are ready to rekindle their interest in Miguel after making enquires over his services this week. It appears Blues boss Avram Grant is far from convinced by Portuguese international Paulo Ferreira and Miguel is the man he wants. Chelsea are believed to have come up short in a bid for Miguel last summer when they also failed to get Daniel Alves and eventually went for Juliano Belletti. But The Blues have continued to track Miguel, who they have watched for the last 12 months, which is why Grant is already aware of him. Miguel is keen to move to England and a switch to the West London giants would no doubt appeal, although Aston Villa remain keen. Villa want a high-class right-back and Miguel has impressed Martin O'Neill - but it remains to be seen whether they could compete with Chelsea - who could also offer Ferreira as a makeweight in the deal. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11677_3044341,00.html

  8. Jose Mourinho believes that Euro 2008 will be a poorer competition because of the absence of the England team. The miserable 3-2 defeat by Croatia at Wembley saw England finish in third place in qualifying Group E and led to the Football Association terminating the contract of head coach Steve McClaren after just 18 games. Former Chelsea manager Mourinho has already emerged as a strong contender to replace McClaren, and the Portuguese has admitted his affinity with the English game. Big loss He told Sky Sports News: "This is sad, a big loss for European football. "I was always a supporter of the England national team and England's clubs. "A European championships without England is not the same as one with them."http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_2897100,00.html
