Knocked out of the Carling Cup at home to the eventual winners Scumpool, 5th and falling in the league, A reply against Div 2 Birmingham, and 2 goals behind elimination from the Champions League.. Lets be honest, he has the talent but needed more time before taking over a club like ours. This isn't his fault, it's the board and owners and they are paying for it. I like AVB but his plan wasn't thought out enough before he executed it.. I have absolutely no doubt he will be a great manager one day, just not at our club unfortunately..

I've always said that unless the manager is a technician, he is just there to fill the space.. If winning isn't enough of a motivation, then the players need something much more then a manager. I believe we will turn things around and end the season strong. We have the squad to win big games and if people here think we can't beat Napoli 2-0 at home then they obviously don't know the REAL Chelsea FC.. I feel bad for AVB but let's all be honest, he made too many mistakes at a club thats unforgiving..

It doesn't really matter who managers us, the boys will always have the last say on the field and in the dressing room. This is the reason why im not worried about how RDM will go. If the boys want to win, they will win.Most of these guys have played together for long enough to know what to do.. We all know most of the half assed performances were to get AVB sacked.. I have a feeling it was more then the "Old Guard" that didn't get along with AVB. Only time will tell. If we go to Birmingham and get a win a lot of questions will be answered. If we lose, i don't know...

Believe me mate, we were getting a very watered down version of the events inside Cobham. Since the handling of Anelka and Alex, the players simply lost respect for him. He tried to take respect before he earned it. This was his biggest mistake.. You love that word aye?? Plastic..

This was very expected but I still have a bad taste in my mouth. It's obvious the club have no patience and want results now. I guess our next performance will tell us all we need to know. As far as the payout goes, I'm embarrassed for our club..

In order to do that our reserves need regular top tier football. Unfortunately that will never happen. The EPL should have a reserve grade competition that is a curtain raiser before every first team game. This will give players the opportunity to travel with the first team and play in front of a decent crowd. We have it with or domestic rugby league and I can tell you, it has been very successful! It also gives the players a chance to play the reserve side of the first team opponents. Some players thrive on playing on a big stage and in front of a crowd. I mean romelu went from playing in soldout arenas to playing in training grounds. This is the problem if you ask me.

It's not really "short term success". People tend to think that if we sacrifce a season to let AVB make his mark, all will be good the next season.. Think again.. If we fail to qualify for the CL what will happen? We will lose a shit load of money in revenue and sponsers. We will fail to attract big name signings who want to play CL Failing to attract these signings will again fuck up our domestic campaign and we will end up outside the four unless we pay big bucks which it looks like we won't be doing.

What hurts so much is that we wait all week to watch these blokes and we are left empty yet again. Its just not the same anymore. Even under Carlo in the last season we still had a fear factor, under avb we are useless. Everybody keeps saying " give him time" and"its the old guard" but to be honest, I think he is just a hoax. His tactics are stale and refuses to change his formation. Things aren't looking great and I fear it will only get worse.

I can already see the future.. Rafa takes over, all the players leave,.we become the next Liverpool after signing Gerrard for 60 million.
