Just noticed Paulo dosent have a player profile on here, yet some of the newer signings do, Anyone eles think this should change? he's been an outstanding servant to this club and has always taken the hand he's been dealt and never had a word to complain from 1st team start to squad player he's always stepped up when needed! Get him a profile so everyone can know what he's done!
-
Thats fucking brilliant :L
-
Letting him go would be a mistake especially with the core of belgium players we have coming through! Agreed with whoever said eventually Lamp replacement! develop him into a leader for sure!

Titus bramble? no. Yaya toure, fellani, witsel, etc more like it, Just because its "fashionable" at the minute for all your players to be small and creative dosent mean a bigger player cant do the same job.Ridiculous. I also never said just because he's small he's no good, i said having too many small players on the field at once isnt good, so dont put words in my mouth dear. Ashley cole is a player unto his own he is an athlete and is far too strong for his size, its what made him so amazing as a player, Something marin and mata dont have in strength btw, but its ok IF you have the physical side in your locker. Also, oscar isnt intimidating on the field, regardless of how he plays, its a physical thing, you dont see anyone pulling out a tackle with him like you would see with say, Ivan. I think you've missed the point. Theirs hardly much point arguing with you tho, since you have oscar in your name and profile pic, obviously your opinion will be fairly bias..... You would also fucking swear passing didnt exist before barca's tiki taka, seems people think if you dont have a team of creative tiny players the ball never touches the fucking ground....what a joke.

Are you telling me that the Giants of the invincibles in the arsenal years, the man utd team of the treble, the Chelsea teams of 2004-2010 etc etc etc were not physical tough teams? Really?.....jesus....the PL and the english league before has ALWAYS been more physical then europe and has always given european teams trouble because of this. You just described barcalona their btw bar the pace, The PL became popular for its counter attacking football, extremely fast pace compared to the rest of europe,(and still is) and its hugely physical game. Which attracted technically gifted players from all around the world and made it the strong league it is today, the unique blend of physicality and high pace left many european teams in the dust for many years and the year we lost in the CL final to utd was the height of this perfect blend, before barca took a strangle hold and started falling over. Also it dosent matter where they are in the table, their still in the table and as long as their there, they will be tough games to be had. If you want a less physical game i suggest watching la liga or the brazilian league.

I agree his time will come, and its coming fast, but to say he'll get "found out" is ridiculas, exposed? maybe, not likely tho since when he wants to he can play with the best of them still as he proved last season, he cant play every game and he shouldnt, but an important CL game, against medium opposition on the world scale and CL scale, who better to ask then super frank? Everything in bold tho is just semantics since it holds no real relevance to what i said just a lame sarcastic edited version of it. Tell that to West Ham, Southampton, Stoke, QPR (to a certain extent) Norwich, west brom.......actually almost everyone in the PL is physical to some degree, bar arsenal....and a select few others. Physicality is a GOOD thing anyway, we dont want a non contact sport. Its what made the PL stand out. 3 games at least ive seen him go over very easy, im not just talking about the time he got booked for it, ya do realize how hard it is to get booked for it with today's reffing standards to? Lampard dosen't play his position now but the way people want him to play is pretty much how Lamps played most of his career, And yes he will never be a leader of men, their will be others, but the way SOME of the people go on here you'd swear he could be and some of the formations those same people want dont seem to have any place for a leader......that post was more aimed at them.
-
Too small, not tough enough (least their can be something done about this) too much of the same thing with hazard and mata, has a tenancy to dive, not a ideal PREMIERSHIP replacement for lampard either. He can only play in an *ideally* attacking possessive style, so in that regard his versatility in the position he plays wont suit every type of game we have to play, something lampard in his prime could do. He also represents a move away from a style of football i loved, to a more "barca" style which i personaly dislike. He also looks about 12 and isn't very intimidating on the field, neither does he look like a future leader of men. Say that he's technicaly great and all, he just isnt what i think is needed to compete year in year out in the very physical PL, a plan B is needed for his position, by no means sell him, but rotate where needed.
-
I cant belive people are even considering this.....jesus the media really does a number on people...... I wouldn't let that creepy cunt near the women's team..... not that he'd want or know what to do with them.
-
Tho i dislike oscar, nothing would please me more then him to ruin scholes
-
Really dont know why this is never used, thats a position lamps would be far more used to as well.
-
? Lampard was playing big tough games before rami was even on a adult team. Some of the treatment of the older experienced legends around here is disgusting, No wonder teams like arsenal win fuck all and are left with no leadership or experience with this kind of attitude flying around.
-
Its a big problem tho, we need more balance leadership (Without lamps and terry) and variation then we'll be perfect. And thats exactly how were going to leak goals against UTD, best team atm for breaking down the bus and putting crosses into the box.
-
I think bringing in that slimey cunt guardiola would be the final straw, chelsea becoming everything i hate, be a sad day, if i was a lesser man i'd jump ship to madrid then, but thankfully im not lol. Keep De matteo, only man i'd want him changed for is Mourinho and even then only if we really had to or if de matteo has had a respectable run as manager that he justly deserves.
-
He should stay on loan till Cole retires, which is only about 1-2 seasons away with age catching up, which will be a sad day to see him go, Then he'll be second choice to Bertrand and all will be well.
-
Yes, yes i did and that's why i replied to it, its a simple concept.
-
Jesus i dunno maybe the other 14 odd major honours we won since 2004 and one of the best core teams ever assembled was pretty dam lucky to....
-
This, this and this.
-
? he was terrible, he made one save and the rest was awful, trade mark flap at it cech.
-
He defo deos, its his consistency is my problem with him tho,
-
I dont agree, theirs more then enough pace in front of him. Without terry theirs no true leadership either, Lamps will have to play a big game like this on experience alone.
-
No, im not. Lol im the only saying we should play him for 1, a darby he gets, 2 extra height to add variation to play, rami is 5.10, lamps is around 6.0 and a half that however IS a huge advantage in the air. Having a midfield in the PL were only one player is over 6ft is daft, This isnt la liga.
-
Not even sure if your serious about carrol, but i agreed 100% on cavani, fellani to would be a great buy, wanna short pass? sure why not, wanna long ball? can do, knock down, out wide, through the middle? check check check. We NEED variation, Real Madrid is doing it best atm imo, when their playing well ofc.
-
Lol hilarious, in the most physical league in the world height isnt an issue....go watch barcalona, height is important as you can have a variation of football needed to be a great team, not a one trick pony.
-
Lamps will be better then ramires with it being a darby and all, something Lamps would know far more about then rami, Also he'll add height to the midfield, which people seem to think isnt important.....
