  1. We bought him for 8 mil and he is now worth more than that. So from a purely monetary stand point it can't have been a bad signing. Imo. Very useful squad player. Impressed early on, and faded a bit towards the end which seems to have clouded some of his earlier performances. It's also pretty useful to actually have a winger. Rather than lots of CAMS who are pushed out wide.
  2. No me too. Thats what i just posted in the gaming thread... weird.
  3. When i saw the thread i thought it was gonna be a permenant transfer in which case i wouldn't blame him. But he should definitely put on loan somewhere. Ideally in the premier league.
  4. Thanks mate. And yeah 150 pounds is light for someone who is 6 2. Good luck with your fitness regime.
  5. I dont think I am suited to helping you as pretty much just started doing my thing and it worked, not really close to being very knowledgeable in this area. All I can say from personal experience is less exercise but very regularly seemed to work better than just occasionally but for longer. And food wise, just really cut down, and replace any chocolate type snacks with fruit etc. And the only other thing I found is, I burned fat faster if I did weights before cardio, rather than the other way round. I was confused by this, and apparently it's because it boosts the metabolism beforehand making cardio more effective. Probably fairly obvious and not much help, but just my own experience. I am sure there are some qualified fitness people around who would know much more about this sort of thing.
  6. Meme is the pics with the text (captions) on them. Gif is the video that repeat over and over again. /lesson Carry on as you were
  7. Twitter really makes the daily fail look like a reputable news source.
  8. I thought the latest BS twitter was that we already proposed it and they turned it down.
  9. Haven't really posted in this thread as i have always kinda stayed away, but anyway here goes. Over the last year i have been trying to lose weight, as i just got to the point where i wanted to do something about it rather than accept being the "larger guy". Last summer i weighed 17.2 stone. (238lbs-108kg). Got an excercise bike, cut down my drinking (That was hard ) and portion sizes (wasn't eating much bad food at all really, but was justing having really large portions). I started off doing just 5k a day, 7 days a week and was surprised by how easy i started to lose weight early on. Going from minimal excersise to regular exercise, really makes something happen. I then slowly progressed to buying weights. Even got a rowing machine. (The reason for buying the equipment rather than going to the gym, is simply i had no excuses then, with the equipment being 20ft away. At first i would probably have just given up if i had to go to the gym regularly as i was very self conscious). More recently i have bought a proper set of weights and kettle bell and started doing a lot more weight training as opposed to mainly cardio. Now i weigh 12.10 stone (178lbs-80kg). I'm just under 6ft1, and am pretty happy with my progression, considering this time last year i was completely different, and kinda proud of myself that i could do it. Still want to burn some more fat off, and lose some more wight and then start building some muscle up. Regularly play golf which is quite good cardio on top of bike work, but lots of weight work is the aim. Mainly focusing on upper body at the moment. Have a bench though so i might start incorportating more of a vareity. Only negative is that i bought my chelsea shirt last year in xxl, and i haven't been able to wear it without it looking like a dress as i am now a medium/large.
  10. I love chelsea and all, but i would stay in madrid for that.
  11. If you play Mata as the AM in a 4-3-3 then its exactly the same as a 4-2-3-1. Put it this way. If i was to say lets play 4-2-3-1 with this: Oscar Ramires KDB Mata Hazard Whoever Then i would get laughed off from people saying, that we have no defence, and would get raped on the counter. So what difference is it if you play: Oscar Ramires Mata KDB Whoever Hazard None, as mata would play the exact same role currently as those formations are pretty much the same thing. Whatever formation we play, we will need a defensive minded midfielder in there.
  12. BUT! Crucially, how many of them are the best at their multiple roles. Rooney is the opposite of one dimensional, and whilst he isn't the best finisher or attacking midfielder, he is one of the best all rounders, which makes him a better all round option than many of the names you have listed.
  13. I'd have him. Another english player as we are short at the moment. High work rate, still talented and shouldn't cost the earth.
  14. Yeah well it will depend on what stage. Group stages are cheaper. But if you went to a semi final it would be more expensive obviously.
  15. Well when i was inquiring... All be it a few years ago, I was told that I probably wouldn't be able to get one for a couple of years. Didn't have many points though. So don't know if that effected it, or whether they told me a load of BS.And European nights are much cheaper than premier league. I saw two champions league group stage matches. Nordsjaelland as well and Shakhtar and it was much cheaper. Stoke at home was 57 pounds each. This season in the Matthew Harding.
  16. It's all well and good proposing this move. But will torres take a wage cut. Sure, we can say you won't get much playing time but he is on 175 a week at the moment. And if torres says no then it doesn't matter what Chelsea and napoli do. I also hope if we do get cavani the wage isn't in the 250k region as has been suggested as, even if we got rid of torres that would be another 150k more on the wage bill. (jt, match highest earner clause).
  17. Yeah i guess many have a dismissive attitude towards him. Nothing against him. But don't think he is what we need. He hasn't really had a fair go. But that is the nature of the game and when you get your chance you have got to take it.
  18. Lol. Read two pages back and thought thats ok. Looked a bit into him. Then clicked the next page and the shit hit the fan. Oh well. I suppose it saves him from two years worth of building expectations for his eventual arrival.
  19. No-one actually dislikes Marin (I don't think). But he got few chances in his first season, and when he did he got very little oppertunity. With KDB staying and Schurrle coming in, the chance of him getting a real go is highly unlikely as he is so low down in the pecking order. And no one expects anything of him. I'm sure as chelsea fans as we all are, if Mou decides Marin is his man and he starts performing we will all be very happy with that. The same way as everyone is pissed off with torres, but its not like i want him to miss when he goes on the pitch, but i expect it. If he plays under mourinho and scores 40 goals next season, i doubt any will be annoyed because its "torres". But no one expects him to.
  20. Looking forward to E3 Playstation conference. On at 2:00 AM, which is a bit annoying but should be interesting.
  21. Expensive. A bit of an A-hole. Money would go to arsenal. Better, cheaper options out there imo. Would much rather have Modric, or gundogen or witsel to play in the pivot.
