Turning 27 is a positive. Not a negative. He is still is a very good age and has resale value if the move doesn't work.
-
Thing is, if we miss out on Raphinha and decide not to sell Ziyech because of that and Tuchel is considering playing a 4-2-3-1, I think Ziyech may actually be very useful, especially if he is able to do those split through balls, to the other flank with Sterling it can get a lot of goals. Just a question mark on his ability to press but I have always said Ziyech in a 4-2-3-1 is a lot better and Sterling is one of the best players around with his off the ball movement which I think can work a treat.

Guehi was a matching clause. Ake was a buy back clause for £40m.
-
We did include a buyback clause, however we did not activate it because eat the time he was not deemed a necessity.
-
Yep Barca. Were 1.33 to get him yesterday. This morning went to 1.44. Now we are the bookies favourites. Hmm.
-
Spence will go Spurs. He goes straight into the team while here he is a back up. If we played 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 which seems a huge possibility, defo a role for Gallagher playing in the midfield 3 or in the advanced attacking position rotating with Mount.

Honestly, Colwill is a talent but people are overhyping him beyond belief. Colwill has never played a minute in the PL. He did very well but he did not player every game for them. Kimpembe has been playing in Europe and for a top team for several years. Ake has been a prem player for solid years. There is no comparison. Now if we play Colwill and he looks out his depth, then what? Colwill can still get opportunites regardless.

Barcelona want virtually a whole new 11. Well besides a keeper. Azpi, Kounde, Christensen (already signed), Alonso, Kessie (Already signed), Bernardo, Raphinha, Dembele and Lewandowski. Bloody greedy shits and worse thing is they still haven't registered their free players and paid of some their past and existing players and still looking to add more players...
-
I got this bad feeling we will end up with him. Reluctant to it but just seems inevitable.
-
Just seal the damn deal! This getting so annoying now 🙄
-
Well done to Leeds for holding on to their guns also. No wonder they aren't going to budge to Barca's offer. When teams see what has come out with FDJ now, they are going to be very reluctant to do instalment based deals with Barca due to uncertainty about whether they will get their money. Also if I was a player, I would be skeptical about going there after this FDJ saga. Who says a similar situation won't happen with them down the line.. Barca in an ideal world would love to keep FDJ but now makes perfect sense why they need him gone otherwise they can't pursue other deals and need to honour his deferred wages.
-
So Barca owe FDJ money and in other words are not going to honour that so they are hoping United cover the wage loss I bet because United pay ridiculous wages, yet they still are chasing contract renewals for likes of Dembele and trying to buy Raphinha, Kounde and Lewandowski. So in other words Barca are needing FDJ to either agree to not be compensated back and stay or join United to fund other moves. You couldn't make this up. Despicable.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/cristiano-ronaldo-manchester-united-transfer-news-b2115885.html Ronaldo not turning up for second day in a row apparently due to "family reasons". This is exact reason we should stay clear. He is bigger than the club and United will make any excuse for him. Don't need that mate. I know it is not uncommon to see footballers fail to report for training to force a move, but United will pass it as if this was agreed because of his status rather than just admit plainly why he is absent.
-
They would be. They need another CB. Got rid of Sule. Upemecano has been average and needs a leader next to him. Hernandez and Pavard are make shift Cb also.
-
Oh FFS! That is bad news. To rub salt in wound now would be Sterling doing a u-turn or then decide to go for a career abroad.
-
No he never. Bruno took indirect FK. Ronaldo took the penalties. Bruno took two penalties when Ronaldo was there (which Ronaldo gave him permission to), other than that Ronaldo took them. Ronaldo always took the FK. Again if Fernandes took it, this was due to Ronaldo passing over the duties to him. Yes, I am. Few posts earlier I literally said I would rather we keep away from both.
-
This is why I don't want him. Not because of his ability but it all becomes about him. He will take every free kick because it is Ronaldo even though his conversion rate from free kicks is poor. Headlines will be thrown every time he is taken off or on the bench. Just would rather do without.
-
Now we are favourites with bookies to buy Ronaldo. Odds have shortened again.
-
If they sell Lewa, would not be surprised. I hope so as I don't want him here as fantastic of a player he is.
-
The odds have reduced quite significantly for Ronaldo to join us. I pray this doesn't happen. Not because I think he will flop or anything like that but mainly because we will then become Ronaldo FC and I don't want to have any superstar primadonnas such as him and Neymar in our team. I would rather us promote Broja than sign Ronaldo and continue with Havertz up front.

Barca literally an example of a team who just splashes money with no forward thinking. Like a kid who wants all his toys now. They want Raphinha, Dembele (to sign on), want Lewandowski. In January they signed Aubameyang, who whilst taking a pay cut, is still on huge wages. Signed Torres in January for what £55m? Signed Depay last summer who had a mixed season but defo will improve you imagine. Signed Traore on loan with view to permanent transfer but seems they won't pursue that. So you sign Lewandowski and then do what with Aubameyang? Keep him on bench or shift him out LW like he was doing at Arsenal? Then what about Ansu Fati who signed a big contract too? Them doing this while they have been racked up in debts? Also, yes they got this massive cash injection but just seems ridiculous wages and money they keep spending out.
-
Think your going to be surprised. There is a reason now bookies have him as favourites to join Barca ahead of us.
-
If they pull that off, would be a fantastic signing and he is available on the cheap tbh as well. I am sure there will be other teams interested though.
-
Unpopular opinion but I slightly agree. If he sees a model where other attackers excel then I think he is motivated to come here. For instance Diaz, did not think twice about going Liverpool when he learned of there interest because he knew he would fit in there model. I hope Tuchel is able to convince Raphinha of how we can play to his strength's and play fluid. I haven't got excited for a reason as I can see this deal collapsing. Barca I know is his first choice but let's just hope they don't get there cash injection and the worse case scenario is he ends at Arsenal but yeah I reckon if Tuchel can convince Raphina that he will be in our revitalized attack alongside Sterling, might convince him more but I am preparing for the worst.
-
I would be surprised with the level of interest in him and current status if he accepted that offer. There are other players in the team who when they initially joined, had a much higher salary and surely Raphinha will feel he done enough to be be on the higher paid players. I would be surprised if he was not looking at anything from £150k-£180k p/w.
