  1. We beat Newcastle and everyone acknowledges Zouma and states this is why Cahill needs to be dropped etc. Cahill comes back in the team and we keep a clean sheet and no word. LOL. Anyway don't need to state the obvious because people already have. But great performance. I will add that I am so pleased for the intensity played from our team over the 90 mins. Once you go over 3-0 up it is easy to lose your head and concede a goal as the level drops and this is often a case for many teams. We were relentless today and restricted them to 0 shots on target. Perfect. I have criticised Oscar in the past but when he does what he done to today have to give him the upmost credit. 2 excellent finishes and his involvement in the general team player was superb. We are only in January and he already has 7 goals and 7 assists and it is very possible/likely that he will end the season with double figures with both goals and assists. Stats eh :carlo2: but very impressive performance by our team today
  2. It is a bloody trophy. In the sem-finals as well so it is a trophy we should go out to win.
  3. We were due a performance like this! Lovely! Hope Willian can get a goal.
  4. They are losing 3-0 to Bradford right now so no need to worry
  5. How can we not be able to spend when over the course of last season and this summer we earned more money in sales than the players we bought. Of course we have money to spend. How can City be able to fork out up to a near £30m and we can't? If Mourinho wants to buy he will buy. It won't be because of financial restrictions. I don't believe that.
  6. That was his only decent game this season. Apart from Saturday he has been totally shit for Newcastle.
  7. Football is a funny old game sometimes. A few seasons ago, Arsenal drew at the Etihad 1-1 despite people thinking they would get battered. Just look at the teams played on that match. City's 11 were much superior compared to Arsenal yet drew. This time around Arsenal have the likes of Alexis in their team. We still don't know how fit Aguero is for 90 mins. Toure is away. Kompany is not fully fit. Neither is Dzeko. Fingers crossed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19614985
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30772221 "The Brazilian is playing some lovely football at the moment"
  9. Toure has been playing in the CM position for almost every game they have had this season. They still would have Silva and Nasri/Navas out wide. The width is there.
  10. Yeah because Aguero drops off often. But there is no reason why they can't do that with Bony in the team. We probably will see the same.
  11. Negredo and Aguero started several games together. Between the two they managed over 20 goals. Negredo's form dropped and then they played Dzeko with Aguero. The odd times they played Toure in the no.10 but the majority they had two up front.
  12. TBH, Dzeko when he has been fit this season has been below-par. It is like Schurrle last season. Both Schurrle and Dzeko had strong finishes to the season but this season they have been below-par and if Pellegrini feels Aguero is carrying the team they might just need another quality CF which is why I reckon they are going after Bony. Assuming Aguero is fit when Bony returns from ACON, I am sure we are going to see Pellegrini match the two together. He done it with Negredo and Aguero and also done/does it with Dzeko and Aguero. Bony and Aguero looks like an exellent partnership.
  13. You will be surprised. No Toure. Arsenal are slowly starting to get their key players back as well and of course Sanchez is playing as well. Anything is possible in the PL. I am watching the Arsenal game now and Stoke have been awful. You have to wonder how the hell City lost at home to them.
  14. Well, that is like me saying we don't rate Alexis because we did not go after him in the summer. Are you suggesting that City don't rate Bony that much because they did not go after him in the summer? How does that make sense pal? That just shows they did not think wisely, that does not mean they don't rate the player. The whole point they are buying him is because he is a quality CF.
  15. Chou, I have watched some of their games. I think that is what you need to do . I am not denying Bertrand is not very attacking but Clyne is a bit more attacking. But yeah if you can look those stats up some time that will be good because I think Clyne has been the best offensive fullback this season. Not to mention his defensive abilites are very good as well.
  16. LOL, people going to be really surprised when they find out Bony starts a lot of games. Do you really think City are paying this much to leave him on the bench? Like I was saying a few posts earlier, Negredo and Aguero struck up a brilliant partnership. Bony's hold up play and general all round play is perfect for Aguero to run off. People are really naive if people are assuming he is a back up player. No chance. Some games he will be rotated. We spent £16m on Luis and he is a back up, not really rotation is he? So why is City spending £30m on Bony a waste? For a start when Dzeko was in the team this season he was regularly inconsistent and a lot of the games average and they ended up dropping him. Bony is arguably better than Dzeko right now. Bony scored 27 goals for Swansea last season. 16 in the league. This season he already has 9 in the league. How is that a waste? Yes the fee is high but that is the modern day value these days. We spent £30m on Willian. United spent over £60m on ADM. City, if they were more clinical yesterday would have won that game. Maybe they just need another quality striker. Come the end of the season, Dzeko or more likely Jovetic will leave anyway. They then have 3 quality strikers. Aguero, Bony and Dzeko. It seems that because he is coming from Swansea the fee is too much when the reality is he a quality forward.
  17. So has Clyne and a lot of their attacks go down the right. Clyne has been as good as Bertrand if not better. He already has 3-4 goals this season already I think. I think they have both been equally good. I was speaking to a Southampton fan the other day and he told me that Clyne embarrassed Baines in their fixture not too long ago ad he had been doing that all season. I can't see how Bertrand has been 'clearly' better when both have been fantastic. Clyne has been faultless this season.
  18. Gomis gave our defence several problems in the reverse fixture. Luckily he was wasteful.
  19. Such a fucking idiot. You was given chance after chance and you kept going on. Why didn't you just be quiet and accept that you were in the wrong. Well now you got your 'just deserts'. As you are banned and still online I hope you see this. Learn some respect and to not bring someone's race or ethnicity into a debate next time. Prat
  20. He is allowed to use this because he asked to get banned on his last account. Is there any need to bring ethnicity/race into it?
  21. Can't believe this. He died in a car crash earlier today. Was regarded as a massive talent in Belgian football and a future national team material. RIP. Condolences to families and friends http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/junior-malanda/stirbt-bei-autounfall-39282428.bild.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/junior-malanda-dead-20-wolfsburg-4956112
  22. It is real sad to see the hatred towards Lampard now. It is understandable but if we end up winning the league this season which I reckon we will do I won't really care about Lampard playing for City. He won everything at us, broke bagful of records and is really one of a kind. No 1 year deal to a team who needs our legend to help them is going to bother me. I will remember the years where he helped us to glory. Best moment was the Bolton game when he scored the double at Reebok to gift us the title. Everyone has their opinions and I can't begrudge people for having a change of opinion of him but he is still a legend in my eyes. As long as we lift the title I will just forget that he ever played for them.
  23. Courtois is our no.1 and I would prefer it is kept that way tbh. He has made no real errors. The spurs game, we could not really blame him. Cech is a legend and have all respect for him but I reckon Courtois would have kept a clean sheet as well today. Is it me though or every game that Cech does come in for, he seems to rack up the clean sheets. Great understudy but I don't think he will want to be known as that for too long.
  24. And it might just be Lampard who comes up with the goods I am fearing... Are you still planning on keeping your name btw?
  25. I will take the 0-0 though. But I hope after this, Mourinho learns to not be so stubborn. These games at home, we need to give Luis starts in and let him build up a run to prove himself. Still think the claims that he has been poor for us way way OTT.
