He started shakily first half. Second half, he greatly improved. No denial about that.
-
Accurate. His dad is from the North-East. In fact, their whole family are big Newcastle fans, stemming from the grandfather. Playing for our academy has a lot of benefits, compared to joining Newcastle's academy. Much better facilities and development plan. But yeah, his brothers, father and grandfather are all Geordies.

Anyone who understands the FFP more than I do want to put me at ease with this. I would like to think the club know what they are doing.

I will be fuming if Caicedo ends up at Liverpool. This should never have got to this stage. Would be more embarrassing than the Mudryk saga. Arsenal did not need him. We need Caicedo after letting so many CM go. Should never have got to this stage. Embarrassing. I will be fuming with this, especially considering his age also.

With Arsenal's additions this summer, definitely feel City need to get another attacker. Defence they are fine but wide players and attackers, you feel they need 1 or 2 to sustain their dominance.
-
He is short, but as explained, he is very good with his domination of the box. I don't recall a lot of games where he was easily beaten in the air by a cross unlike Kepa. He was brilliant last season.
-
Mentioned this before, but really surprised we are not going for Raya. He is not the biggest bit has excellent commandment of his box and is technically brilliant. His stats last season were brilliant. Wonder what it is the club don't see in him. I wonder if this is a late move we may make.

Humphreys has very similar Colwill vibes about him. Very composed.

Bassey going isn't bad business for Ajax. Unlike a lot of them who leave for big fees, they recuperated the same fee they bought him for and he lost his place in the team to a 17 year old (Hato). He did not suit their style of play and was severely criticized by Ajax fans and past legends last season. His technical ability in particular was scrutinized.

Looks like Saka.

Very impressed. Would of like to seen a bit more from Nkunku. Jackson so impressive and explosive. Gordon has looked their biggest threat so far. He has looked good. But happy with what I have seen so far.
-
He was at the worst team in the league and played in a defensive team. He went to Palace the following season and played in a 4-3-3 and played his best football. He got their POTS for a reason. Mudryk came and was poor. Most of the players were piss poor and that is why I say he deserves a chance before being written off.
-
Please explain? He scored 8 goals for Palace in the league. He is still only 23? That doesn't add up. You would need to see him play a full season in his best position. Last season he played all over the place. RWB, CM, CAM....
-
Why do you hate him so much? He is far from a shocking footballer. He was average in a shocking team last season. A shocking footballer does not have the season he did at Palace where he nearly touched double figures. He put in top performances for Palace, contributed to their win at their Etihad against the best team in the world. I remember he put in two MOTM performances against Arsenal that season. Name me one player who was not poor last season. Give him a chance. We have lost so many CM and not bought one. So makes logic to sell another one who is full England international right? He has proven himself that he can perform at a very good level in the PL and has the addition of English tax. Well in our rights to ask for £50m.

Caicedo wants the move. He literally came out a few days ago and described us a 'beautiful team'. His literal words were: "It’s a big team, that’s true, a very historic team. ‘I can’t say no because it’s a very big, historic, beautiful team. And the city as well is beautiful.’ That pretty much clears things up. It is only the negotiating between the two teams that is holding things up.

I hope we remain firm with Lukaku valuation. No way should we be signing him for just under £100m then selling him within 2 years for more than half we bought him for when he still is very much capable of scoring a lot of goals in Serie A. In fact if he stays fit, you wouldn't put it past him being amongst the top scorers in the league, so if they value him that much, they should be paying more. I know a lot of people are happy with Pulisic sale, but again, we have a sold a player for a relatively small fee for someone who is still is fairly young and the fee we paid for him. Lukaku going for £30m or so is a complete piss take. I hope the board hold out for at least £40m. Lukaku already, apparently has said he is willing to take a pay cut to go, so if he is, then Inter should pay more for him. Simple. Will be exciting to see how the team operates next season. Will probably be the youngest Chelsea team/squad we have seen for a long while. Will have a very similar look to Arsenal last season in terms of age of squad, however ours may be even younger looking at things.

In the same dilemma. All the trainingwear are really nice but edging towards the second one.
-
I get your point, but Raya is one of the more attainable options. Apart from the Valencia keeper, most keepers who are tall, seem to cost a fortune and unless it is Martinez or Oblak or someone in that category, don't think it is worth it.
-
They were negotiating for weeks then Spurs got impatient and bought another keeper. I am pretty sure they would have got the fee down. Spurs just didn't want to be drawn in lengthy negotiations and sought other targets. As the latter stages of the transfer window go Brentford will definitely soften their stance.
-
Potentially David Raya? He is 27 which is very young for a keeper and his contract runs out for next season an I think as the transfer window goes on, Brentford will be reluctantly willing to sell him for a cheaper fee. Maybe around £25m I reckon. PL proven and has been brilliant in both seasons. Brilliant technically and great reflexes. Not the biggest keeper, but he is actually very commanding in the box and don't often recall moments where his height has let him down.
-
I am content with them spending this amount of money. There fans haven't got no excuses now about not one player in their team last season costing more than £50m.
-
It is reported that he currently prefers Arsenal move. Interestingly earlier, bookies made him favourite to join City, however now they have put Arsenal front of queue again...
-
Mudryk was expected to be a sub for first game due to playing 90 mins for the national team a few days before where he was brilliant, but yeah him not coming on was a surprise. They won comfortably as well it seems. May continue on the bench for next game as well then.
-
Can see Arsenal avenging what happened with Mudryk for Caicedo. It seems we won't officially put a bid in for Caicedo until we get rid of the players to Saudi Arabia and Havertz and Mount also. I would like to think with Caicedo he goes with the team who made him first choice and not a team who made him their sloppy seconds. I wonder what move Rice will want to do. City obviously are the better team and competing for titles but he doesn't walk in their team. Arsenal, he stays in London and walks in their team. City's team is also ageing in certain aspects so he may see himself as a long term fit. Interesting one.

I officially have to change my favourite player now 😞 I think £25/30m for Kovacic is a steal. He is still in his 20s, a national team regular and oozes quality. Leicester got relegated and are quoting £50m for Barnes and Maddison and Maddison also has also 1 year left on his contract and they are quoting double the price. I think that is brilliant business for City tbh. We are short on CM as well. Struggled with injuries last season but on form, brilliant player to watch. Will miss him.
