This is exactly what I'm talking about, and what frustrates me so much on every forum I've ever come across. People just post Youtube videos and then think "Ooo, I've scouted a player. He's the next big thing." I'm not being mean, I'm just being honest. Youtube videos make Heskey look like Messi. That's why they're called "HIGHlights". Also, I can name literally 20 players in the same league as him who 'run past 3-4 defenders' every game. The only reason anyone on here even knows his name is because of the MEDIA. The same MEDIA who don't actually know that much, and over-hype everything to come out of Brazil, including our young Piazon. This would be one of our worst ever signings, I assure you all.
-
Have you watched him play a single game? And to answer your question, Kaka signed for Milan not long after his 19th bday.
-
I'm not trying to be rude, but I assume most of the people saying he's "The new Ronaldo" and really want him here only watched a few Youtube clips of him. Don't be fooled. I've been following Sao Paulo for around 6 years now, and this boy is not special. He's great, but in the PL, would get absolutely destroyed. He is far from a typical winger. He's more like Kaka in his prime, but he can't finish as well as he could. He needs acres of space and loads of time on the ball, so that he can either run like Ramires with his head down, or use his trickery to get around opponents. He'd be an average-to-top player in Serie A, but a total flop here. He also gets dropped whenever Sao Paulo switch formation for a game or two, as he's extremely bad at adapting. A 4-3-1-2 and 4-2-2-2(box) are about all he can handle.

Arsenal are in talks with us to permanently sign Benayoun after his successful loan-spell.
-
I think the 4th time might actually be Juventus. The Juventus board etc. have promised that an expensive World-Class forward will be arriving, as their priority is to get a Right wing-forward in to replace their Pepe.

I understand this will leave some people angry, confused and bum-hurt, but hear me out for a moment. Do any of you just hail McEachran as one of our best ever academy products... just because other people say that? It feels as if people are calling him 'great' just because others do. There's a REASON why he doesn't get playing time, even at Swansea. Allow me to explain. He's shown potential, but just because he shone at youth level and is English, everything was blown out of proportion. That's just how England works. Overrated and overpriced players is the norm for us. When you REALLY study Josh, the way he thinks, moves, plays, etc. you can see a player who is composed... but completely out of it. He plays as if he's high all the time. Watch ANY clips from the time he got to play for Swansea - He didn't run once. He just jogs around the field, looking into the sun, staring at the birds flying over the stadium. He doesn't have the attitude or mentality of a WINNER from what I can see, because fans just give him a free pass and say "He's young, give him time. He's the next Xavi." If you really know our players inside and out, including the academy, you'd see we have far better players among our ranks. Lewis Baker, Loftus-Cheek and Swift are all miles ahead with their talents. They're all already outstanding players. A similar thing goes for Piazon. Yes, he has potential, but just because he's Brazilian doesn't make him the "Next Kaka". They play nothing alike. Kaka is an advanced playmaker, where-as Piazon is an inside support striker. He's also nowhere NEAR ready for the first team. He's far too indecisive on the ball, and his dwelling makes him often lose the ball. So in summary - Stop overrating our younger players. You will be let down, unfortunately.

While we're on the topic of goals and Lampard, for some odd reason, very few people seem to know this, but - Did you know Lampard is the highest scoring midfielder in the history of professional football? Rather nice isn't it?
-
It IS a shame that Cole does indeed support Arsenal still, but what he's done for our club is just amazing and usually makes me forget that. Aside from Maldini, he's possibly the best left back I've ever seen. Is it safe to say he's the greatest left back to ever play in the Premier League? Oh and yeah, that "No one can say anything to me" was legendary!

Let's just keep this short and simple. Here you can post your own chant ideas for our players, other teams players, and everything football-chant related in general. (If there's already a similar topic, just delete this one.) I'll start us off with one example someone just came up with on Facebook - "No income tax, No V.A.T, No money back, No Champions League..Black or White, Rich or poor, Goodbye Bale and Adebayoooorrrr."

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

I know we've had a "meh" season when it comes to the league, but really, this is our greatest season ever. So, with that said - Do you guys think the value on some of our players will have gone up? Kalou for example - Chelsea haven't lost when he's played this season, and he's also won the Champions League and F.A. Cup this season. Surely in today's market that should put him at around £13-16mil, regardless of his talent. I'm sure Malaga or PSG would be happy to cough that up for him. -
De Bruyne - Lukaku - Hazard The Belgian Connection.
-
This may sound obvious, but this has JUST hit me - WE.ARE.THE.CHAMPIONS.OF.EUROPE. Barring a few loyal Germans and most of the Barcelona/Real Madrid/Manchester City/Manchester United squads, we can pretty much sign anyone we want..

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

lol this is just brilliant. Every time I refresh the official Chelsea Facebook page, we gain around 5 new 'likes'/fans. Looks like we'll be getting an even bigger fan base for next season! I'm looking forward to it! http://www.facebook.com/ChelseaFC -
Not world class, but for the price he'd be (probably around £5mil) he'd be a great squad player. I would however rather just keep Romeu and give him more game time instead now that I think about it.
-
PERFECT! I shall be chanting that during every game of ours from now on.
-
I would absolutely LOVE it if we signed this man! He's just like Cahill - Looks decent in a decent team, but would be superb in a Champions League WINNING team. Definitely not an Essien replacement, as he's more box-to-box, but he'd certainly be reminiscent of Makelele in a few ways which would be great. I hope we get him. I really, really do.
-
I'm making myself chuckle, so I consider it a success.
-
Excuse me, wut? You think I'm trying to get rep? Is THAT how your mentality works!? Oh yes, plz gimme your rep as it'll enhance ma lyf so much xoxoxox
-
Let's release Lampard, Terry and Cech. Not technical enough for my liking. Infact, let's replace Cech with Ronaldinho.
-
You talk about Financial Fair Play and want Hazard, Tiote, Cabaye etc? GENIUS!
-
I think we should sell Mata. He's not versatile and can't play centre back.
-
If we do actually get the star, then I assume that it will be on every single one of our kits...FOREVER! *DUN DUN DUNNNNNN*
-
Ok, time to do some schooling. A squad isn't made up of 20+ world class players. A top European squad should have 11ish top class players, with great and versatile squad players who can come on as a sub, and if necessary, be used in any system. Ramires can play right wing, attacking midfield, left wing, right back, central midfield and defensive midfield all to a high standard. Name one other player in the league who you know of who can do all of that. He's also fantastic for morale as he is always smiling. He hasn't complained a single time during his here, has never given nothing but his ALL for the team, and has pace which can match Lennon or Walcock. As for Mikel, he's been our best midfielder this season, Mata aside. Ask anyone with half a brain on this forum. You're then talking about getting two Newcastle United players, one of which literally just joined the club, and are in Europe next season with a fantastic manager. To top off your ignorance, you use "pace" in the same sentence as Marin and De Bruyne. If you had scouted them properly and not just seen a few clips with the odd game thrown in, you'd know that they have awful pace, and therefore rely on their outstanding dribbling skills to get past their opponents. Kakuta will not be having an impact at this club. That's just clear.
-
lol, he wants Ramires out. No words.
