  1. I hope he goes to Juventus, but I'm positive he'll go to Manchester City. I expect Manchester City to sell Dzeko to Juventus or a Bundesliga club, and maybe sell Tevez to wherever. That would leave 'em with Balotelli, Aguero and Van Persie, unless I'm missing someone completely obvious. P.S. - Remember Giroud saying he prefers Arsenal over us because of stability? Since when is losing 2 captains in 2 seasons considered stability?
  2. I'd hate to have him. He's supported Arsenal since a boy. This was the season for him (every top striker gets that one special season). As said on Sky Sports, it was a huge surprise that he even got 15 games this season. Very injury prone. This would take the limelight off of Torres. (I don't like Torres, but there's no point in just bringing in yet another striker while we have him.) His runs would be awful in our team, and I honestly don't think he'd do well in a 4-2-3-1. Maybe if we played our 4-2-3-1 like Man City do, then he'd be alright. There.
  3. Here's a good read on Pogba for anyone interested in what he will potentially add to Juventus or any club he may be loaned out to: http://360scouting.blogspot.com.au/2012/07/paul-pogba.html
  4. I've not seen much of him, but isn't he just a younger version of Meireles pretty much?
  5. Hope we win vs. Milan + PSG. I hate losing during Pre-Season. Doesn't set a good tone for the coming season.
  6. I love those 2 above posts ^^^
  7. I had meningitis when I was 7. If he goes even 1 day without seeing a doctor and has a high level of bacterial or viral meningitis, he's completely screwed. If you don't get it sorted ASAP, you either die, get a limb amputated, or have serious after effects. (I only have minor after effects somehow. Lucky me.)
  8. i think we should sine Dani Alves because Abramovich wants us too be the Blue Barcelona and Alves wants a knew challenge and hes good fore English football and would bring us a lot of attacking presents down the right hand side. he is also only 29 so he is better long term option and has played against us and manchester united so he has english football experience.
  9. Tottenham is the perfect team for him, unfortunately. They also have less 'egos' amongst the team as everyone knows how shit they actually are, aside from Modric, Bale, and arguably a few others. I fear though that Andre will do for them what he said he would do for us. Bring in the youth, find young talented players (such as Romeu) and, although I hate thinking this, pip us to the top 4 again. Our boys better be ready for a fight next season. Can't wait 'till we take 'em on.
  10. Not bad. I believe he earns around £120k a week at Inter Milan, unless they gave him a lower-paying contract at some point that I'm unaware of!
  11. Here's what someone has to say on my transfer page in the comment section replying to my co-admin's update RE: Maicon: A bit too far?
  12. It would seem that Tottenham are trying to sign Damiao to try and replicate what Falcao did at Porto. Don't be fooled guys. The hype surrounding him, the odd Football Manager stats etc. all hide that he is infact a really average player. He's good at scoring in his league, no doubt, but as seen at international level and in friendlies against bigger teams, his movement and decision making are appalling.
  13. I really enjoyed reading that. I've noticed that the official CFC website + Twitter account have become a lot more active, 'friendly' in a way and more 'human' feeling (no idea if that'll make sense or not.)
  14. I'm sure many on here like this guy, or may even know him personally, but who is this guy? https://twitter.com/#!/DannyDoes Is he on the forum? He seems to think he's better than *every* Chelsea fan. *sigh* Agree with him or you're wrong.
  15. Look what I've ordered <3.
  16. Assuming Benayoun and Malouda leave, I believe Maicon will be only the 5th player in the whole squad 30+ years old! (Others being Cech, Cole, Lampard and Terry.) Quite amazing how we've gone from a so-called "team of pensioners" to having one of the lowest amount of 30+ year olds in the league. (I hope we don't go any lower than 5 30+ players though. Experience and leadership is key. Look at Madrid, PSG etc. Madrid, despite ALL that talent, couldn't win the Champions League, as they didn't have that same sort of personality etc. you get with older age. PSG missed out on their league title for the same reason.)
  17. Unless some top club snaps him up, Lorenzo Insigne who came through the youth system will replace him. 21 years old. Plays as a 2nd-striker. 18 goals in 37 appearances on loan at Pescara last season. (He, Immobile and Verratti were magic together!)
  18. Mata on Radio: "Torres told me he saw me and passed the ball just because it was me."
  19. Torres won't be 'back' until we stop jizzing over the fact he got an assist - but instead that Mata scored. Why isn't his thread all lively? (Yes, I'm aware Torres also scored.)
  20. I'd just like to say this to the people who are judging Maicon off of those Tottenham games - We bought Gary Cahill from a team who is now relegated and conceded an astronomical amount on the league. Some of our fans and many other teams' fans were pissing themselves laughing as he came from Bolton. Didn't sound like a glamorous signing, did it? Oh hold on a moment, my memory has just gone hazy. Who was in the heart of defence when we won the Champions League for the first time in our history? That transfer doesn't sound so bad now, does it? (I remember people saying we should have spent £40mil on Hummels instead. lololololol) That reminds me of this situation. Seriously? People who judge players from a game or two, where they're from, their age and what's happened in the past are both ignorant and, in a sense, even pessimistic. Why don't the same people actually watch more like around 10-20 full games of his, judge him off his current talent and not his previous/'better' talent when he was younger, and try to understand what he'd be bringing to our team? There's more to football than statistics. Only watching a few games of someone is just ludicrous too. I always come off as a dick head who wants to be a know-it-all, and honestly, it's because of situations like this. In a sort of reverse situation, when everyone was gargling all over van Der Wiel's nuts because they just listened to the media and other people without researching, learning and thinking for themselves, I would just keep on preaching about how bad he actually is. Yet somehow, people who had only seen 2 games of his and a few Youtube high/low-lights had the nerve to even debate a situation/player that they knew nothing about. Then, EURO 2012 comes around, and everyone sees how awful he actually is. He would downgrade our team. Judge a player for what he actually is from your own experience; not what others say they think he is. Otherwise, don't comment on the subject in such a way. I'm not saying to listen to my thoughts or opinions, but at least listen to other people on the forum who actually know football in-depth and know players past just 90 minutes when they're on a good/bad day. In my opinion, Maicon is an upgrade on Bosingwa. Maicon would be a back-up and sometimes rotation option. If Maicon were to stay at Inter and they were in the Champions League next season and we were drawn against him, most of the forum here would be highlighting him as their danger man for the match. I'll end this rant now. I just hate it when so many of these people don't think for themselves, and only echo what others and the media says. There's no need to spunk millions on a young, hungry right-back who'd demand a starting role and who we don't need (we need back-up, not a starter) over an older, more experienced, ex-one of the best in the world, Champions League winning right-back who'd be willing to play a lesser part without fuss. P.S. - For those who have only seen those few games of Debuchy at Euro 2012 and nothing more, yes, he is as good as he looks. No, he isn't the correct option for us. Bring on the abuse biatchez.
  21. I notice you said "you would gain nothing" ("you" being us, the collective of Chelsea fans) which means you don't consider yourself to be a part of "us", which just makes me wonder why you're on this forum now. So confused. Aren't there Real Madrid forums?
