Torres and Ba together can cause problems for that back line. We wil, probably continue rotation though and start Torres plus probably Benoyoun. Whatever it is, please bring home 3 points!

Best goal (technique wise, not meaningfulness) in a Chelsea shirt? I knows there's not nearly enough to choose from for our taste.

Reminded me of watching Real's match against Galatasaray.

I'm really interested in how Ake is playing. His development is going to be very important for us in the future. Any quick word on his performance in the first half?

Fantastic, hard working player. Midfield engine.

Wait, Ambitabh Bacchan is an actual person??? I thought that was a fake movie star they made up for Slumdog Millionaire lol

Makes sense for both sides. He plays in a top system which plays similarly (passing, movement) to our own. Also, he likely gets to be the first choice striker which will get him on top of his game ahead of the World Cup. That's what being first choice is about, I reckon. WC starting spot.

Score one goal and the tie is likely over. I want to see a glorified kick about in the second half. If we concede first we're going to have to fight like hell to hold them off.

Oscar is just going through the "first season" wobbles that I expected both he and Hazard to have. With as many appearances as he's racked up it's easy to forget that this is just season one for him in the PL. up until this move he was just playing in Brazil with the occasional NT appearance.

You're gonna go down, you're gonna go dooooownnn! Queens Park Rangers, you're gonna go down!

Chelsea Striker Fernando Torres Desperate to Rediscover Form

This picture was retweeted by Chelsea In America yesterday. There's no doubt those players are better than him though, as their goals per appearance rate is way higher.

Marin and Moses were negated by Shaw and Clyne. Without those outlets we weren't able to spell together much of anything.
-
He's a ridiculous athlete and doesn't shy from his athleticism in favor of trying to be too technical. There's a beauty to watch someone put on an absolute brutish performance.
-
Took him time to settle in at Malaga, as to be expected. Now he is reaping the rewards.
-
Why begrudge him at all? He's always said he wants to see out the remainder of his deal here. Has never wavered from that. The board offered him a 4 year deal in 2009 with the full knowledge that an owner like Abramovich will likely change minds on managers multiple times during that span. They risked the fact that some of the managers won't favor him, and that the deal extends into his 30s. They shouldn't be surprised at all at the current situation. Write the contract then you live by it. Chelsea learning this the hard way.

Up 2-0 at home and take a draw? That's atrocious.

From ESPNFC: "13:00 GMT: El Confidential report that Chelsea have reached a preferential agreement with Malaga for Isco. So, the coaching team led by Rafa Benitez will have priority over other clubs when signing Isco. This was agreed as part of the Lucas Piazon loan deal, which went through yesterday."

East Stand Upper...but as long as I'm in the stadium I'm ecstatic! I'm on holiday in the UK and have been desperately looking for tickets. Then these come on general sale! A dream come true!!!

Heading to this match, my first at the bridge!

I'm mainly sad because he's English and it's disappointing when that type of English talent leaves. Moses has been a delight as a player this season so that lessens the blow.
-
The more we win the better we will be set up for what should be a great 2013 season. Rafa is part and parcel of this as manager. So for the time being I will support both club and manager in deference to the overall goal: trophies. I'm taking it a bit like disgusting medicine. I hate it and hate it all the way down. But if it makes it all better than so be it.

I want Lampard to stay. I think it would do everyone involved some good to see who the next manager is going to be. Who knows, they could find Lampard indispensable. At the same time one of the hard parts of honoring your Legend's is allowing them to leave on their own terms. If Lampard wants starting football in a developing market like the USA, then we should honor that choice. Besides, it's only a matter of time before he would return to CFC in some capacity. Same as Drogba, he is a blue through and through.

Hope we can ice this game off early so we can rotate the squad. Not much rest in between matches.

Playing style is very fluid, very classy. Quite a future ahead of him.
