  1. More like Enzo is kicking himself for missing this. 😃 Heh was good nothing great, esp considering who he's playing against.
  2. Great first touch and finish, but calm now. 😃 Our players have WAY too much time on the ball. Jackson had all the time in the world to apply the finish. That won't happen against better opposition. Opposition is everything at this level. Job well done, but don't read too much into it.
  3. Nope 😃 not because we can defend, but because Everton can’t score.
  4. Everton are shit tho… 😆 Still gotta take care of business when playing shit opposition, so good stuff. palmer is just crazy good. Don’t care what trait in his game city did not like—they fucked up.
  5. What a goal and what a player! Second nutmeg in 16min in. 😆
  6. That was a sitter... match looks pretty even. We will need a moment of brilliance from Palmer... as usual.
  7. Scary starting lineup, but the opposition is the worse there is, so no excuse today. We should be able to win this regardless who plays.
  8. The final phase would be to hire an arrogant Frenchman as the manager... that's a (PL) tested and tried method to raise the hate level against your club tenfold. 🙂
  9. Heh I thought you meant "boots on the ground" not missiles. Yeah wouldn't doubt that, but then again, like you said, the USA would get involved.
  10. City will be hated just as much given enough time. With all that cash flowing in, don't think they are going away anytime soon.
  11. Reckon such an attack (sheer numbers) wouldn't be logistically possible with today's tech. It would be way too obvious (satellite would spot them early and easily) and therefore slow to pull off, which would just make it a lot easier for Israel and its allies to defend against it. There people traveling "on foot" (or at least slowly) would just be easy targets for today's weapons. Would need to know more about tactical nukes, but considering the size of Israel, I'm not even sure they can be safely employed there; like without collateral damage to its neighbors. Neighbor of mine used to be in the rocket business -- he'd not tell me a thing tho (I asked) just that he travelled to Russia often. My understanding is that there are vast differences in tech among the ballistic missiles, which means speed, accuracy, and in the end how easy to stop them can vary drastically. All we can hope is that cooler heads prevail and that the actual leaders, on all sides, have more logic than beliefs in their heads. We've been in worse situations in the past, and are still here.
  12. Looks just like another ball-winning mid to me -- nothing special about his game. Hope it's just age and he improves, but that's what I see right now. Can't see him being an upgrade on Caicedo regardless how one rates the latter.
  13. A bit all over the place, but still a nice read. I Agree about Caicedo potentially doing better at Liverpool (still unsure about his passing ability). I disagree about Mudryk for the earlier point made in the article, which was conveniently forgotten when making the point above: Trossard is competitive, while Mudryk isn't. Sometimes it's just the mentality of the players, and not about tactics or nice speeches in the locker room.
  14. Does Tottenham quality? 😅 prob not, but if they did, Sarr still has more assists. Caicedo numbers in the final third, as well as long ball completion, aren't good any way you look at it. His numbers are slightly better in league cups, which once again just proves how important who the opposition is.
  15. Avram Grant reminds me of Tal Ben Haim, likely the worst CB I've seen play for Chelsea FC. 😁 And then we have the big question: say we bring someone really good, a top manager, would they listen to him? Would the owners work with him to fix the gaping holes in the squad, or would they give him Brighton's Ferguson because... reasons?
  16. yep and there is another nuance that I find interesting: What is "good enough for ..." are we saying they are far superior to what the opponents have? or it's about the same level and we depend on something extra, either by some masterclass tactics, luck, or other factors to win? I remember a time where absolute quacks could (and have) manage our team because of the abundant quality (and experience) of the squad.
  17. And? was it a final I missed? Did you take a peek at the standings by chance? Are they just lucky?
  18. PSG are such chokers at this level. They always find a way to fuck up.
  19. absolutely. And prob easy convincing too given that we'd lack options for #9 and he'd end up playing a whole lot. BTW, Andreas too mentioned he was going to play more as one of the reasons to leave.
  20. "qualifying for European competition" I hope he means any European competition, because if he means CL, then I will disregard all his other points. CL teams in the quarters play a different sport.
  21. letting AC go was honestly ... 🤦‍♂️ esp considering the other losses as well as the type of signings we were doing.
  22. Which means he might actually believe it right up to when he gets sacked in 3...2...1... 😆
  23. Again, the standings do, but I hope you are right. I totally see them beating Bayern, but then they should lose to Real.
  24. The standings do -- forum comments on it. 😉 Premier League P Team GP W D L F A GD Pts Form 1 Arsenal 31 22 5 4 75 24 51 71 Won 6-0 against Sheff Utd Won 2-1 against Brentford Drew 0-0 with Man City Won 2-0 against Luton Won 3-0 against Brighton 2 Liverpool 31 21 8 2 72 30 42 71 Won 1-0 against Nottm Forest Drew 1-1 with Man City Won 2-1 against Brighton Won 3-1 against Sheff Utd Drew 2-2 with Man Utd 3 Man City 31 21 7 3 71 31 40 70 Won 3-1 against Man Utd Drew 1-1 with Liverpool Drew 0-0 with Arsenal Won 4-1 against Aston Villa Won 4-2 against C Palace Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they beat Bayern. 😕 That's the usually overrated side which only gets tested when they play the CL.
