  1. Can’t blame him for starting 2 LB and losing the midfield like it always happens when managers do that? folks being very generous to Potter.
  2. There is no excuse for that starting lineup tho.
  3. Suppose our dear manager will now fix his ridiculous starting line up.
  4. Yeah loftus has been poor — lack of pace is a prob in games like these.
  5. Abu is comfortably watching the game. Best seat in the stadium. he better score because he does not do much of anything else.
  6. Same midfield due worked before 😉 it’s not it.
  7. It’s not just them (midfield)…no pressure up front. Abu is really poor at pressing and others aren’t connecting either, so middle is overwhelmed. kinda predictable (and predicted) that this setup would be more likely to suffer pressure like this.
  8. Cholobah passing not good enough at this level. United the far better side so far.
  9. We will miss him... he's a shit player at this level tbh. Amazing player a few years back, but players do get old--even the super fit like C. Ronaldo.
  10. wait what? James is out of the WC too? That would weaken England quite a bit.
  11. Not terrible news for us if this issue goes away. he will have wc time to recover and come back stronger or not. It’s a big blow to France tho—don’t think they can compete without him.
  12. "Alisson Becker has MORE assists than Jack Grealish this calendar year - with Liverpool's goalkeeper's pass for Mo Salah's winner against Manchester City taking his 2022 tally to two... one ahead of £100m playmaker" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11324411/Alisson-Becker-assists-Jack-Grealish-calendar-year-pass-Salah-winner.html
  13. manager will need to rotate everyone on yellow quickly
  14. A top-shelf performance against the wolves. On top of his usual high energy and urgency, he also displayed quick feet, and especially vision by adding a couple of assists to his tally. He's going to be difficult to deal with if he carries this form to Qatar.
  15. indeed! Reece James has no weakness, which is extremely rare in football. I'd say his only challenge has been the occasional injury, but what a player!
  16. Yeah that's why it's called a bet. You know who wasn't a bet and also was a world beater? Haaland and he wasn't attainable. Regarding Werner, I think I'd side with facts over fiction on that one; that "other player" the who'd "have done so much better" did not actually play did he?
  17. Would someone please remind me why we couldn't land Nkunku in the previous window? I mean we landed everyone else! I'm not a fan of the Abu deal.... It's just that we already know him and he's got second tier written all over. Now, Nkunku, that's a bet that makes sense just as Werner too made sense. Werner "did not work" poor us with our CL trophy. That's how you compete against folks with more investment capacity: by being creative and making educated bets.
  18. The big question is: what exactly a ManU manager has to do to get the boot? What a quack! 😃 Also, what on earth did they go after Christensen?! Never really a great, but good player for a tottenham counterattacking side, but now he looks like a proper retiree.
  19. Good game against Palace. Guy is quality and not yet playing at his best, which is yet to come.
  20. Much rather see Grealish in there instead of mount... too much of a big game player for my Brazilian taste. 😉 Still can't believe we moved kai around just to accommodate freaking Lukaku.
  21. He had a pretty unremarkable stint at All Minerio in Brazil. Hulk was the star player there and remained so. Costa started a few games, but he ended up sitting on the bench more often than not. There was also rumor saying he was a disruptive figure in the locker room. I'm surprised he's back in the PL.
  22. Pretty much a straight striker swap then. 😉 the only difference is that one of them thought he was an LB.
  23. Makes sense. On the other hand, Jesus is basically a false 9 and has played just as much as a winger. I find it strange because on paper it seems Jesus would fit Tuchel's game perfectly. 🤷‍♂️
  24. And he was OK with Abu who'd be more like Lukaku (pure 9) than Jesus? does not make a lot of sense.
