Can't complain if he ends up at Barca. Just glad we didn't lose out to City or PSG...
-
LOL... I doubt that HIGHLY
-
Take Arda! More than happy with Pogba to the Chels!!
-
If its for £20M I'm all in, if we pay the full buy out I'm all out. Good player but perhaps only marginally improves our XI... We will still need to make a big splash in the summer for this move to look amazing. Coupled with Falcao this deal makes me feel like I did after we won the double with Carlo and made Ramires our big summer signing....
-
Source?

This only makes sense as an Oscar replacement and an Oscar replacement only makes sense if we plan to go bigger this summer.
-
not really true.
-
A footballing cathedral it was described as! Taking gothic architecture of Westminster Abbey Wasn't the original Battersea design similar to this?
-
Improves our bench not our starting XI. If we're only signing players for our bench I doubt we get any further than we did last year, in fact we may even regress. We need one huge name for the XI and the rest can be bench fodder. Adra will get spot starts here but not into the preferred XI. Let utd go ahead and buy him.

Its Euros and quite frankly if it ends up being £35M + Oscar we've done well.
-
Nah he couldn't hack it. Didn't work hard enough for the team.
-
In a normal world where Costa never gets injured I'd agree with you but last year drogba made more appearances than costa. I think we need a 1b since Costa's health is an issue.
-
It's early into the summer they won't get more than 40m for a want away. Sterling's camp will make enough noise to force their hand once the summer commences.
-
That's the kind of summer Champions of England deserve. Throw Baba Rahman in there for good measure and it's a wrap!

Debruyne is playing well in a league that is played at a slower pace. He couldn't handle the rigours of the prem and moreover Jose's high standards of performance and work rate. Good player but not for Chelsea.
-
I don't understand why people don't see this? If he's good enough he will play! Jose only has an allegiance to winning! If Ruben is good enough no one keeps him out of the side, moreover the fact that he's english gives him a distinct advantage.

Been saying it ever for however long now, Chelsea would be absolute mugs had they not entertained the thought of bringing in Pogba. Paul is quite simply tailor made for a Jose Mourinho midfield and even if the proposed fee is high, the inclusion of a player swap make this almost too tantalizing to ignore! If we give them Oscar and 35m, Pogba's amortized fee on a 5 year deal would be 14m( 7m plus yearly wage of 7.12m) that is extremely good value on one of the best midfielders in the world. We could re-negotiate that contract to two years and it becomes miniscule. Numbers aside Matic, Pogba, Cesc, Loftus-Cheek, Ramires is best midfield compliment in the world. I truly believe that and I also think the game is won and lost in the midfield we add Pogba and we will rule the roost for years.

Traore.

And what is that down to?the injury or confidence?

Most of what i wrote has to do with the cup as a whole. I wasn't really focussing on falcao but the fact that people here are critiquing a players level of performance at a tourney that is probably positioned at the most inopportune time for a player. And yes it is over analyzing if you're watching this tourney and looking for signs that a player's performance is on par with your expectations for him in an upcoming season. For me personally my optimism for falcao has nothing to do with Colombia, his form last year, or his recovery time. I'm optimistic that Jose will get the very best out of him and that cesc and hazard will provide him with a level of servicing that will give him chances to score goals. I don't believe utd generated any real chances for him and I really don't think he was used properly either. Having said that the lowered expectations around these parts will be great for him.

The hyperbole on the site has reached new heights. Hard to discern who is actually here just for the sake of amusement and who is somewhat serious. Given the market griezmann is def in around the 35m range.
-
How are you coming up with this figure? What market have you been following?
-
I'm just sitting here reading everyone over analyzing the copa America which comes on at the end of a season that first had the World Cup then an entire domestic season. Trust me folks real players don't recover from fatigue as fast as they do on football manager. Many of the big stars here are running on fumes. Having said that falcao looks lively to me for anyone who has actually watched the games how has the Colombian servicing been?

100k a week. He'll have plenty of time to make a big move.

Fair price for a guy who seems to be on the rise. Would've loved him here but looks like we're looking for mature bargains rather than a young potential stud.
