It would be no different than the musings of Chelsea supporters about our players. I'm not saying it won't be a good signing, he's the type of player who is very efficient, hasn't got a lot of mileage on his legs and can make an impact as a starter or off the bench. Not sure we see eye to eye on the his skill set and attributes but that is highly subjective. How we use words to describe a player is left up to interpretation... I like him as a player who will challenge our RW players to be better.

What about the other years he was at Barca? 2013-14 isn't the only season he's not produced passable stats in those categories. I agree he's not a true winger, he's more of a secondary striker and similar to Schurrle in that respect. Clearly an upgrade to Schurrle....

Firstly I never once suggested he couldn't be useful to us. Anyone who can finish off moves with goals is an asset to our club. My point of contention is I don't think he makes us a hell of a lot better than we currently are. And while the vids can definitely be used to support ones claim, its not the only reliable source of info. Stats also show limited amounts of info as well but since you have a video to support your claim I will come with stats... We'll probably end up somewhere in the middle when this is all said and done, assuming you're not as stubborn as some here. The season you highlighted was 2013-14 in which his OPTA stats on some of the things we are talking about in 37 games that year Pedro averaged 0.6 accurate crosses and 1.5 inaccurate crosses a game. His key pass average was 1 per game and of that, 0.2 came from the cross and 0.1 came via through ball... 0.7 was categorized as other(granted he was often a finisher so those numbers are not the best representation) None of his assists came via cross or through ball that season. As an asset to us, for me, it will be finishing off chances not creating them or providing width for the team to operate in the middle. He doesn't have the capabilities to dribble past people with a high level of success as the 1.5 unsuccessful and 1 successful dribble per game would illustrate.

Cesc never had to do that he played striker, he was the person the moves were fashioned for... Do you see the difference? A winger tends to be involved in the build up more than a finisher.

I ain't mad at the acquisition of Pedro, this trail started when someone said he's going to be an everyday starter for us based on the fact he can do everything Willian can and he scores goals... I don't see that at all but everyone has their own way of interpreting the game.

he can score, he can't dribble, is a good passer, not the best vision, great touch, okay in possession, nothing he does defensively suggests he's a hard worker(but that is subjective perhaps what you deem hard work is much lower than what I do) He is 100% worth 20M but definitely not based on your criteria. you've missed the mark by a wide margin in terms of what he can do on the pitch but that's not a huge deal. I see him as coming in and giving us competition at the right flank, similar to Schurrle who just didn't work out.

show me. All I've seen from him is intelligent runs and clinical finishing.

I could get assists on Barca. Just pass the ball to Messi and let him do all the work, take that assists total with a grain of salt. Look at his key pass totals.

Another thing to consider is he doesn't have a lot of mileage on his legs, at barca he's never been an every game starter so he should have plenty left in the tank. He could be that impact sub we've been dying for as well.

Sanchez never fit at Barca everyone could see that. He was the focal point at Udinese and at Arsenal. I know this forum would be pretty boring if not for comparisons but man is it ever annoying. Pedro relies 100% on servicing and gives little else outside of finishing. Having said that he seems like a Jose signing, the perfect guy for Jose to put his arm around and make him feel like he's wanted again.
