  1. So, if he really is coming, who'll play the number 10 role? Him or Mata?
  2. LOL! That's what I call a penalty. Just pass it in the net with calmness and confidence. So much swag!
  3. By winning the Community shield, at the end of the season a team can say they have won a treble instead of a double. To me this seems important enough. I know how the teams treat the Community shield, but it's still an official trophy. I don't see how aspiring to win it is unambitious. If Torres wants to win the Community shield, imagine what's his ambition to win bigger trophies, like the Premier league. Let's throw away the Supercup, too, shall we?
  4. Florentino Perez wants him in Madrid.
  5. I know. Sometimes I am tired of saying them
  6. Short term contract is the answer for me. I support Robbie to stay as permanent manager, but I don't know whether he can manage a more attacking-minded team. I don't want us to become an Italian team in the Premier league.
  7. I kinda agree that the Euros will give us an idea about what's coming next season. But Torres has never been the goalscorer for Spain. His stats are something like a goal every 3-4 games. When the Spanish National team plays, any opposition coach will put 9 men behind the ball all the time. That means no space for runs behind the defense. Also, he's not really comfortable with that tiki-taka play. Del Bosque, just as Aragones, value Fernando because he's tireless at making those runs, even though he knows he wont receive a pass. He creates some space for the others. However, Spain will struggle to retain the title with Villa and Puyol out. In the World cup only 3 players scored for Spain (Villa, Puyol and Iniesta). Now they'll need Torres or Llorente to put the goalscoring boots...
  8. I always had the sensation that they don't have a good relationship off the pitch. But after hearing them both saying that they don't understand why they didn't play together, and watching them celebrate together on Saturday, I may have been totally wrong.
  9. If we bring another world class striker this summer: 1. He will overshadow Torres, who will be complaining about his playing time and role in the team. 2. He will be a Torres 2.0 version. I mean he'll struggle with the style of play. Fernando spent his best years being a lone striker with strong wingers supporting him, and a playmaker with an eye for the final pass, behind him. Torres is a funny guy. If he knows he's the main man, as he was in Atletico and Liverpool, he has the confidence of a World cup winner. At Chelsea, he's not that guy, and maybe he'll never be. However, I read an article (mirror) stating that Abromovich spoke to Fernando on the parade, assuring him he'll have a central role next season. I don't know if it's true. But I know that Torres right now has the hunger and the desire to play at Chelsea, to prove himself, and to thank the fans with great performances and goals. I am sure he wont leave next season! Let's see how he does in the Euros and then we'll decide whether we can rely on him to lead the team.
  10. The final list will be announced after the Spanish cup final. So we'll see. Maybe Villa? That'll be a surprise...
  11. Hazard is a future Ballon D'Or. I think he'll be a sensation in the Premier League and will hit the ground running whether it is in Manchester or in London. However, I have the impression that he has the Cristiano attitude, something that I don't really like much.
  12. Looks like Torres and Mata will figure in the Spain's squad for the Euros. In Friday they'll join the rest of the team, before the friendlies with Serbia, South Korea and China.
  13. The Supercup and the World cup are not trophies that can be won every season. So, we must go for them cups and a treble including the Community shield is far from impossible.
  14. DAFUQ? How exactly do we know he's terrible at pens?
  15. I dont know, though, why Torres doesn't take penalties anymore. If you look at his record with Atletico, out of 91 goals maybe around 15 are pens. And I can't really remember him missing a penalty in La Liga. But, on the other hand, with Liverpool in 2007 he missed in the penalty shoot-out of the Barclays Asia trophy against Porstmouth. But seriously?? To refuse to take penalties again because of some Mickey Mouse cup? I dont believe it really
  16. Let's wait to see the whole thing, but to me it doesn't seem dissrespectful in any way. He again talks about all the support he has received in the past year, and just adds how he's feeling. Honesty before everything. I think we all knew that he's not comfortable sitting on the bench, but I though that after the arrival of Robbie all the pain and struggle are forgotten. I don't know, let's see the whole interview and then judge...
  17. Nice to see him partying so hard last night I guess his nickname is not accidental, because he celebrated like a little kid.
  18. I just can't get tired of saying it. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!!! So happy, last night was a crazy night. Btw can anyone send me highlights in english?
  19. To win this thing tomorrow, apart from great discipline we'll need a moment of genius to get those players pumped up. I don't care who'll produce that spark - great save by Cech, last second clearance off the goal line by Bosingwa, long range free-kick by Drogba ... it really doesn't matter. One thing is certain, we'll witness 90 minutes or more that'll seem like an eternity to us. Big players shine in big games. There you have it, guys the biggest game in European club football. Legends will be born tomorrow night. I already can't stand still. I hope next time I'm around here we'll be all celebrating our first Champions League trophy. BELIEVE!!!
  20. With Cahil and Luiz fit again, I wont panic so much, because there'll be someone to double him. BOSSingwa can handle it! I know he doesn't look agile nor reliable, but he is good when going forward and exploiting spaces. Also, he is one of the few players in our team, who are not afraid to shoot from long range. And sometimes he does it great. (remember Norwich this season?). Don't get me wrong I don't like him as a player, and I think he should leave this summer. But right now he's part of the team and he needs our support for the biggest game of his life. Just as any other Chelsea player does.
