Maybe Im tired of constant manager changes and no damn consistency. We repeat same shit every 2,3 years and hope for different results. Except our real level goes dawn each season despite couple fluke titles in between. Tbh I dont even care if its Sarri, Conte or Michael Jordan. Make a longterm plan, get capable manager that suits that plan, support him and keep him for 3 or so years. We made that decision in summer and that was Sarri.
-
The best way is to keep Sarri for another two seasons. That way the players will either adopt to his style, get rid of lazy attitude and shit mentality or they will fuck off to another club and they can be lazy there. Either way we wont have players that dont give a shit anymore and think they are bigger than club. Also shoutout to all the negative posters here who want changes, improvement etc but the same moment something goes wrong, you scream sack this one, sell that one...Klopp had his shit time at pool but they kept him and now look their results. It should be a nice example to all that Sarri can turn this around if the players are willing to give 100% too. Trust the process.
-
Fair enough. Are you from london maybe? Because I think most of us start cheering for certain club because of the players. I became fan after watching Lamps, Terry,,... I know we all cheer for the club now no matter who plays, but its still the players (newer or older) that create that connection IMO.
-
You dont care about player that elevated our play for last 7 years? Interesting... Sure we cant do nothing to prevent him leaving, we are only fans. But we can form an opinion that he is extremely valuable player and anyone sane would keep him if there is a chance.
-
Lol. Knee jerk reaction at best. He is in shit period indeed right now and I hate the way he plays these months with no urgency to deliver, but at his best he was downright unstoppable. Period. If he set himself to leave then he simply must go. Pointless to keep player like that who wont give 100% But he delievered in every season for Chelsea and is the best PL player for couple years now. If we could persuade him to stay, it has to be done. Lets not pretend once he leaves it wont hurt us. It will hurt like motherfucker because our board is incompetent to sign proper replacements and current lot cant take mantle from Eden. When Costa was here people said he should be binned and when we sold him, people realised we turned much worse. Same will happen once Eden leaves, x10.
-
Eden is replacable, but the state our club is right now, we are midtable without him. The board has ZERO quality to bring proper replacements. Spending isnt the problem, but what if we pull another ''Morata'' as Eden replacement ? Costa was replacable, but we couldnt make it work after he was sold. I said it when people wanted to get rid of Costa that it will be a mistake and we wont be as strong. Same shit will happen once Hazard leaves. And down down in the mediocrity we go.

There has been no cohesion and stability at Chelsea since Roman era. The only things back then that made difference were that we had increadible squad, Mourinho (at the start) and Kenyon who knew how to run a football club. Once they left, we regressed to what we realy are. Back then Roman forked shitload of cash to get best of the best on board and they did their job recruting players and creating a team. We had solid core which still worked despite number of manager changes later. Then it all started to fade when person after person left the club and Roman decided to bring business people in instead of football experts.

If you look how Napoli played and compare to us, its day and night. And we definately have better individuals. They moved quickly, no slowing down and haggle on the ball. Just receive and release type of football. Players moved in space brilliantly, there was alot of one touch passing etc. Compare that to us. Half of the team is dribbling into opponents which slows us down, ends up losing the ball and their defenders can simply double mark our player with the ball. The other half only knows how to pass sideways and safe. I will call for Sarri head when we apply his napoli style and it just wont work in PL for whatever reason. Current style is a mix of Sarriball possesion and ball circulation, but everything in attack is the opposite of how napoli played. Its clear players havent or dont want to adapt. When we play recieve and release type of football with offensive urgency and it doesnt work, blame Sarri because his style didnt succeed. But if the players keep doing their own shit by dribbling into opponents, ball doesnt circle fast enough and we only pass sideways, thats not on Sarri, its 100% on players.

Mourinho in the end was indeed terrible, he was on decline which shown in United too. Too defensive football and all. Conte Im not sure, he never got his players and who knows what went behind the scenes. Willian at the very least was unhappy about him, maybe there could be others. I guess the way Conte dealt with Costa left sour taste on many players. But IMO it wasnt his fault only. The players were just as responsible as the manager. We have seen same pattern. Did well till january (2nd) and then massive flop down. Im not sure it was right choice to sack Conte, but it was something that had to be done. The players were not commited to him and then you need to go. With Sarri, I dont see any disconnect between him and players on personal level. He plays "attacking" football and didnt have any major clash with any player. I see this as motivation problem. Players know they wont win title and they dont give a shit. Simple. And you cant just get manager to boost their mentality. This was reccuring thing for few seasons now under different managers. Napoli and Juve players were commited and motivated, so its hardly to say Conte and Sarri dont know how to. Its then on players to try, but we dont if there are no trophies, its evident from last and this season. We have experienced, older squad and they cant be molded to suddenly give all to finish 3rd. Honestly I dont. They want titles. No manager will motivate them to give all for 3rd place. But then again to win title we are far from complete and inconsistent. We are in a loop. Not good enough to win title, but the players think they are too good to feel pride in finishing 3rd. Maybe if we change coach, we will suddenly perform again and people will say Sarri couldnt motivate them, but I bet my ass as soon honeymoon period is over, we go back to shit. So I dont think its the manager problem.
-
Im 90% its the players. Sure Sarri has terrible subs and is responsible for Jorginho and all problems releated to it, but the players on pitch are absolutely spineless. The moment pool and city escaped, we knew there wont be a title and while we were never good enough to beat pool or city, we were good enough to finish 3rd comfortably. But the players went from 5th gear to 2nd instead of fighting on for 3rd. Thats why we had ups and downs in the past. Title season and then bust. The moment they see we wont win title, they stop giving a shit. Tonight Sarri dropped Alonso for Emerson. Higs as new striker and Pedro for Willian. Our best lineup. We lose, never mind. But the way we did it? Players strolling, jogging, zero urgency in attack. And no its not Sarriball. This shit worked perfectly from august to october. Then it just stops? Players stop creating and suddenly Sarriball is the problem? I know its hard to face the truth but the players are either spineless mercenaries or pure shit, believe its the former since they turn up in some games when they want to. Its easy to point at the manager, but this shit happend under Mou, under Conte. Sarri didnt win title, but we had bloody brilliant run till november.

Roast incoming.

Rakitic would be brilliant addition to Chelsea. Such an 2005 esque signing. Experienced, quality player even if he is already in 30s, he can add alot to this team. His long shots are also better than our entire midfield together.
-
Odoiii my man well done
-
Willian is shit even against second league team. Unbelievable.
-
He already shown more passion in single game from the bench than Morata did in whole season
-
Maxi Gomez is reportedly close to PL (West Ham probably). If this guy succeeds in PL, he will be the next big target for every top club in england. Would cost a shitload but I see him as one of best striker prospects for next era. Should be on shortlist for us too. Dude is as close to Suarez regen right now.
-
Maybe we should start taking these kids seriously as part of the club future and not a fucking profit factory. MAYBE then they will give a shit.
-
Tbh I get him. Sarri doesnt play him in single important match, then he says he is on par with Pedro and Willian (which was bs just to keep him here), plays him a game and then again drops him to the bench with 5min cameos if that. Meanwhile he plays Willian. Did anyone see just how shit Willian was vs spuds? Got to about 10 touches on the ball and fucked up every single time. Bad pass, dribbling and losing ball, shot in the stands. But thing is its not that Cho didnt play much YET. Thing is he wont play for a long time. The club just loves crap "proven" players ahead of young, driven, exciting talents. It will be massive shame and if it was another club, I would blame the player for not being loyal enough, but Chelsea and youth is one big bullshit. Cant blame him if he goes, he sees it like De Bruyne and Salah did (not our youth, but still young talents back then)

Its good that we sell many players to keep net spending low. But that doesnt change the fact that we fork 200+m every year on new players and generaly do it very bad. For example two summers ago, we spend 260m on new players. Sure net spent was 60m, because we generated 200m from player sales. BUT we still spent 260m, we had 260m to spend on new players. And what did we spend 260m on? Bakayokos, Morata, Drinkwaters. 260m, we could get top tier player or two. Im not arguing about our net spend which is very very good. But about the fact we have 200m+ to spend per season and we dont show for it.
-
He is expensive as hell but eventualy we will have to buy quality backups. We cant win shit with average bench. And if Jorginho is absolute key in Sarri system, we are very stupid not to have two quality players in that position. I just hope this wont be one of those cases; 47m for Paredes too much. Buys Drinkwater 2.0 for 40m. Get the fuck off with that bs.
-
Absolute quality mate. To me much better than De Jong, Barella and other up and coming midfielders. Realy smart on the ball, dynamic, yet technical, versatile and he seems realy smart with his play. Always makes the right move and it makes it look easy. Would be perfect for Sarriball. But I do wonder if he is what we need though. He doesnt have the finishing edge yet, more of a build up player. James would be interesting choice if we dont buy Kovacic. The way our opponents jam in their penalty area, James or Coutinho with long shots would have field day for us.
-
Whats up with all these loan deals? Cant we just sell them ffs... That said good luck Moses, he realy was important player in that first Conte season.
-
Im dont like him much, but for 15m it would be good deal. If he flops we can still ship him off for some profit.
-
He just has this Cech vibe about him. Seems determined to succeed here and genuinely likes to be here. No other preferences like that cunt Tibo.
