This season not so much. He is on decline, aging and PL demands plenty of energy. If it was from england to italy maybe. We dont have a winning squad yet, so Mertens cant provide something extra beacause we dont even have the base covered. Would be better to invest in younger forward like Boadu IMO.

Ambition and spending are only two things that matter though. Its realy nice to see us go progressive football. It was definately required. But all these talents we have are only a part. All teams that won something in recent years spent big money on at least few world class players. Regular spenders like Real, Barca, City,...Pool with Dijk and Alisson etc.

Matheus Cunha along Jimenez, Isak and Inaki, Edouard should definately be among our targets. All of them are very allround, not just a poachers. Dembele is good but many celtic fans say Edouard is now even better there than Dembele was. Lautaro should be our priority but its almost impossible. To think all three of Sane-Lautaro-Sancho will be on the move and we wont get either 😒

So PL will have another Man City in Newcastle United. Abramovich better be ready to invest more or we wont be in CL for much longer.

Great prospect but probably not worth that much. Said the same about Felix when Atletico bought him for over 100m...you just dont pay that money for a potentialy top player when you can get a top player for that money.

Considering plenty of clubs will face quite a few financial burdens because of corona, is it possible that fifa/uefa allows club owners to pay the club debts/losses from their own pockets? You know because of extraordinary circumstances...

Would you want them back in PL so that we could beat them again? Would the fans today be any more hostile than for example in derbies vs Spuds or Arse?

Im pretty sure fifa/uefa will simply extend the contracts from june until the season is officialy over. Obviously the players will have to agree this principle but IMO it will be done due to exceptional circumstances. Its like a lesser evil for the greater good. If anyone out of contract could just leave by june it would cause massive problems for clubs and general confusion.

He is 19 and he is absolutely tearing it up in Buli for the past two seasons. Some of the stats are even better than Ronaldo/Messi/Mbappe at that age. Unlike most players, he already has incredible end product, be it by assist or goal. He is pretty special player and once he matures, he will be elite in CL too. But I agree he goes missing in bigger CL games, been watching him through the group stages and he didnt stand out.

Rich will ALWAYS have privileges. If shit hits the fan we are left on our own unless you have ton of cash and connections. Luckily if you are under 60, over 99% of people wont have any problems with this or maybe a flu at worst. By that I mean even 99% of people who catch corona, get sick, have fever and trouble breathing, you recover within 2 weeks by resting at home without any medical assistance needed. The only problem is if this mutates into something worse. The other problem that actualy exsists right now is if you are over 60, you can get seriously ill and the hospitals get overcrowded quickly, thats why the precautions with quarantenes to stop the spread so quickly and overcrowding the medics. But the corona itself for average human isnt dangerous at all. Most recover without any problems. Yet people in my country already panicking like its the end of the world and buying all the supplies for next 6 months...

There is absolutely nothing tragic with certain players picking coronavirus. Cho, Rugani, Gobert in Nba,...they will be back soon. Older people are in danger here and they have to be protected/stay healthy. For others this is just a bad flu that you recover in 2 weeks or sooner.

Such a small club mentality to get butthurt by 19 years old kid who does that celebration for every goal. Neymar, Mbappe and the whole psg will pack their bags next round if it happens. Also celebrating like they just won CL 😂
