  1. Don't give the manager too much power. We know how it went with Conte. I trust Winstanely and the directors' picks since January.
  2. Liverpool interested in Levi Colwill. Are even holding off on their LCB signing to wait and see if Colwill is an option. Poch's should absolutely convince Colwill he's in our plans.
  3. I don't see why the fan reaction has to be so bitter. It's giving him too much attention and making the move seem bigger than it is. He was never central to our plans.
  4. People are really overplaying the drop in quality between Gabriel Veiga and someone like Enzo Le Fee who's still available. When Enzo was on the market, the club acted immediately and got the signing done.
  5. I am liking the maniacal control from the board, Poch to be sensible this summer. They are driving hard bargains and sticking to valuations when negotiating for players. Nkunku, Gusto, Jackson seem sensible moves and many high wage earners have left. Liverpool may end up rebuilding their midfield but I’m not feeling any panic because of the course correction done this window. I’m open to spreading out the signings we need over windows. Wait for the right opportunities
  6. How good is Szoboszlai ? Seemed like an option for us now that Havertz and Mount both departed I’ve read our board rates Rayan Cherki higher
  7. One of the clubs in for him are Leicester. Would be a good idea to send him to an upper Championship level team and let him play 30+ games this season than play rotation mid at Crystal Palace
  8. Club wants to do the deal in July, the reports say. Saudi deals go through only after July 1. Its only the Havertz and Kova money that's coming in for now. Anyway personal terms almost agreed with Caicedo. We are in the race and look like we are ahead of competitors even with our supposed mid-table status.
  9. The fact that United researched the market and came up with a 60m Mount bid as the way to spend their money, then it's a good sign.
  10. I'm with the board on this one. If Chelsea was ready to give him a 200k a week wage offer, then it makes sense to value him at 60+mil. There's no pressure to sell due to the Havertz deal going through (Saudi deals all go through post July 1).
  11. Newcastle will try to sign Chiesa and Theo Hernandez after Sandro Tonali. They're quietly picking the market again.
  12. These owners are here for the long haul. Good to see
  13. Courtois went on loan for three seasons to Atletico where he played regular football before he was integrated at Chelsea. Asking Slonina, who's only 19, to start Premier League games now could destroy his confidence. He needs regular gametime on loan before we can decide to use him.
  14. Wouldn't he be wary of going to City when they play with a lone DM and there is already Rodri and (hopefully) Kovacic joining?
  15. I think club is looking for senior keeper since there is already a young prospect - Slonina.
  16. Guardian reporting that Chelsea had spoken to Milan about him and could still enter negotiations.
  17. I like his physical attributes but his touch and football IQ reminds a lot of Werner. I'm worried no matter how much Poch improves him, there are some basic limitations in his game.
  18. Wish he is just as consistent for them as he was for us !
  19. Agree. The course correction has been good. But it's a long way back and the next few moves are crucial
  20. I don't see an available attacker who would have been a better signing than him. Smart work from the board
  21. Far from over. We can still enter the race
  22. Hope this is the unquestionably good attacking signing we've been waiting for. It's been years since an attacker joined the club and was good, consistent.
