  1. So far, Thiago Silva hasn't looked out of place even in a back 4. But its great we have 4 solid CB options. When Silva leaves, Fofana and Disasi will be the RCB options hoping Fofana recovers
  2. it is not about pre-season form but whether those two will be able to perform well in their positions over 6-8 months. Gallagher is not a defensive mid and a pivot of Gallagher-Enzo is a disaster waiting to happen.
  3. Gallagher in the pivot, Carney and Sterling in attack. We need reinforcements - Caicedo and Kudus
  4. Even Caicedo's reps have not been told who is this mystery bidder. Seems to be a made up story to force Chelsea. Word is Chelsea's still trying to do the deal on our terms than pay up the 100million
  5. Usual Champions League game night for us in Asia
  6. Gusto was superb throughout pre-season. He should start over James vs Liverpool Carney, Sterling, Gallagher need to be backup.
  7. Brighton claim offer rejected for Caicedo Chelsea could face competition in their pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. Brighton claim they have received a bid, from an as yet unidentified club, that surpasses Chelsea's most recent offer for the 21-year-old Ecuador international worth a total of £80million. They are intent on holding out for their asking price and won't budge on comparing Caicedo's value to that of England midfielder Declan Rice, who moved to Arsenal from West Ham in a £105m deal. Brighton previously rebuffed approaches from Chelsea and Arsenal in January. Chelsea are considering alternative options should a move for Caicedo not materialise, including Liverpool target Romeo Lavia of Southampton. https://theathletic.com/live-blogs/transfer-news-live-updates/Rf4eM6sJAjbq/70dD4t7o84jy/
  8. Barca and Juve are in trouble for inflating prices in the Pjanic-Arthur swap
  9. I haven't read yet from Ornstein/Fabrizio that we're interested in Vlahovic. Seems very much a case of Juve pushing for the swap deal. I hope we don't sign him.
  10. Different scenario. Kane was undisputed first starter and a PL legend already. Llorente was a 32 year old backup Vlahovic is 23 and is joining to compete alongside Jackson. Broja maybe going on loan - West Ham have held an interest.
  11. This is great. Along with James, he's signing up to be here long-term. I saw a lot of comments here saying he prefers to go to Brighton or is holding out for Liverpool. Turns out he was simply waiting to see if he will be given minutes, in and around the first time which is completely fair from his view.
  12. Lot more doesn't make sense. 200k pw week wages for a striker giving competition, long-standing groin issues that has stopped other clubs from exploring deals, doesn't fit with the club's ideas of going for players they're passionate about. In a summer of great decisions, this one seems daft and something we've been cornered into. We should wait more and ask Lukaku to take the Saudi option
  13. At Brighton, he's pissed off the manager and he's behind Steele and Verbruggen in the order. At Chelsea, there is more than a fair chance of dislodging Kepa.
  14. The news first came from Duncan Castles. Could be nothing
  15. 22 is ideal to manage egos, keep everyone on their toes in a season without European games.
  16. No doubt the window has been great The club has been ruthless in most decisions - spending 40m on an emergency cover CB. But what about GK? Club is still studying the market for GKs. Didn't bid for Onana/Raya and seem to be content with going into the season with Kepa
  17. No place at Chelsea. Colwill and Badiashile ahead of him and contract runs out in 2024. We should sell with a reasonable buyback clause
  18. Chelsea board reading Vesper lists to decide targets
  19. I have serious doubts about Onana. Physical beast but doesn't seem like the player for a team with majority possession most games.
