Shows the major flaw in going after wonderkids. Those who are good at age-level football or when they are 20 are not necessarily the ones who go on to have a great career. Apart from the very obviously talented ones like Haaland or Mbappe or Jude.

Zinchenko, Jesus, Palmer, Gundogan, Cancelo and even Sterling to an extent have all done well. People were saying we were targeting City rejects but they seem to be really good in general even if they are not the best at City.

Its not like we needed more evidence but play Sterling on the left and bench Mudryk for a while. I think his physical attributes can be used as a sub to stretch games but in games where we are trying to open up a defense, he has a negative effect on the team. Sterling left, Palmer right, Nkunku middle with in-game rotations could be really good. Carney is a good option too.

The decline comes quick when it does come and he was on the decline in 22-23 itself. I think 36 is too old for a PL striker. For all the experience and finishing he brings, it cannot come at the cost of movement and pressing. I’d rather go with a striker in their prime.
