Even if the price is 25m and not 40, there are better solutions for the striker role. I like the physical attributes and he seems to have a shot on him, something we haven't seen among Chelsea forwards in a while. But technique-wise, there is a lot of work to be done. He came from the MLS and has had a year of coaching from Emery. I don't think he's ready for a ST role at Chelsea and its another summer where we are circling around the striker question and not going for the kill in getting a player in his prime.
Casadei has interest from Italy - Bologna and Lazio want him. He might go
The rest can stay. Enzo, Caicedo, Lavia and Gallagher for the league games. Ugo, Santos, Carney get gametime in the cups.
Deivid is not super talented at all by the looks. Definitely needs to head out on loan.
They're populating with many signings in the hope few work out. Think we have enough strikers in the 17-23 age group and the squad needs a senior who won't take another season to settle.
In January, Matt Law quoted a deal at £18million. Can't imagine has value has more than doubled

Can't keep doing this every year. 2022 - Settled for Aubameyang. 2023 - Signed Jackson for cheap.
The time has come to go for a weapon striker. Sesko is off the list so turn to Osimhen, David, Toney, Isak, Watkins, Gyokeres.
City will fight to keep Alvarez. I think club needs to be careful about spending 70-80million on Alvarez, someone who has not shown yet he's able to play on his own up front.
How? Makes sense imo. He's in a top 4 Bundesliga team. Another year at Leipzig means he plays regularly, plays CL. He's only 21
Teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, United might still be an option next year. Even bigger teams may come into the picture for him.
Yup, paying 60-80m for Julian Alvarez when we have Nkunku, Palmer (and Carney) capable of playing behind the striker in the AM role is a waste of effort, resources. We need a different type of striker who can play on his own up front.
Agree with this. He's a good player but won't break the bank for him considering its clear we have to do some accounting gymnastics to make our signings.
We have Nkunku who's a similar forward too. Would prioritise a leading #9
