I disagree with the view. He has the worst workrate of any of the attacking mids at the club. Only games to consider Felix was vs low blocks where we don't need a lot of running from midfielders. Otherwise, we would be more open than we already are in games.

He wasn't even racking up the goals against the small teams like Nkunku was + while I think he would be useful vs low blocks, he has been poor in the chances he did get and hasn't influenced games when he has come on to make a case for starts. He's always been accommodated and given starts because of his reputation in my view.

Smart move. Watkins is the better striker at Villa who has handled the burden of being the striker in a large sample of games starting week in week out The board waiting around on 19-22 year olds as usual - It would be crazy if Villa sell a premium striker and we are not in the conversation

He's had many worse games. Jackson had a decent first half and even got the assist. As bad as Jackson was at the start of 2nd half, Nkunku upfront alone was worse and made zero sense

Nkunku sub last night was disastrous. Jackson was the forward to keep on when City were playing the high line.

The goalkeeper + defensive mistakes is undoing a lot of the good work this season I think Maresca has been far better than Poch - It never felt like we were 1-2 steps away from a coherent team with Poch. Now, if the board is serious and signs a GK and ST, it could actually make for a good team with Maresca's coaching
