  1. Pace whores work in the Premier League. Walcott/Bale are big examples
  2. I think everyone always assumed that Cavani will go for a bit lesser money than his release clause. Now I don't think we should spend 63mil on this guy. We might have the cash but in deals like this with such huge amount of money involved, the price tag can weigh on the player
  3. Confederations Cup starts today. This feels like Tahiti's year
  4. this should damage the confederations cup. will be a message to the government
  5. Next Dalai Lama could be a woman http://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/Australia/Next-Dalai-Lama-could-be-a-woman-The-Dalai-Lama/Article1-1075540.aspx
  6. Chelsea have done well in the transfer market but not that well in terms of negotiating contracts. 77 is a lot first-up. Chelsea have let quite a few backup players get away with high wages - Cahill, Demba Ba, I think wages should always start low and then increase depending on the players' value to the team, his overall output etc. Mata is not the only example of a player on a lower wage here. Oscar, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Ivanovic etc are other examples of good players on lower wages. his wages should have been closer to the 50k mark imo but nonetheless, I'm glad he has signed
  7. maybe a bit harsh but i generally feel we need decent backup would look to scavenge the Scandinavian or such unpopular leagues for good backups. Someone like Lindergarrd, Kuszscak, Szczesny, Pantilimon or the like... edit: I like Cavani. Back on topic
  8. that's an ideal way of looking it. what if Cech is out for longer than 20 mins? Can't make assumptions in that way. Should atleast have a reliable 2nd choice
  9. I think he's looking at Villa as a spring-board to a bigger club.
  10. An Italian team also dropped their shorts to distract opposition as part of a free-kick routine. I think it was Catania.
  11. As 2nd choice? Based on friendlies vs City, I wouldn't. Looked out of his depth there A reliable 2nd choice is needed imo. Never understood why we stuck with Turnbull and Hilario in last few years.
  12. Just because you are in England doesn't mean you are the better fan. Fans from the East sacrifice for Chelsea as well. Champions League games start at 2 am here in India but we stay up to watch it. Geography has nothing to do with your support of the club
  13. A lot of Hans Zimmer compilations on the net. Almost all are over an hour-long. Almost always end with Inception's Time
  14. Good job on the external links. Not many of us will like this. Romeu did well under Villas-Boas when he got an extended run of games. But I can see from a positional sense, adding a midfielder will see an overcrowded midfield at Chelsea with - Mikel, Essien, Lampard, Romeu and New Signing - Van Ginkel? de Rossi? Boateng? - even Luiz and Oscar can play there if pressed. So, moving a midfielder out is fine but moving Romeu out isn't. I would look to boot Essien out the door first
  15. Ouch. That's a scathing review edit: I don't mind Chelsea TV commentary if it's professional. Just don't want the mind-less screaming; we do that in our living-rooms
  16. Great read overall! As TorontoChelsea said, maybe the ratings should have been lower in comparison to the outer world. What if Mata has an even better season next year? 11/10?
  17. Even the piano cut is good. Hans Zimmer is a music god
  18. It also fits nicely with Mourinho's words in the presser about not spending millions and millions on new players
  19. @, When did he talk about Torres? In the Round-table with the papers?
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmCM0IfYY9M&feature=c4-overview starts from 0:50:20
