If Conte, Sarri and now Lampard overlooked Michy for other unproven options like Morata and Abraham, that says something

The Tammy bashing has begun. I think his 'bad' performance is wild exaggeration. Yes, he had one big miss but he was burning the Liverpool defense with his movement. I would not worry about a striker who missed chances in a couple of games. Even good strikers like Aguero miss several chances. The worry is when the chances are not being created. Michy, Giroud have had their time to claim the striker role. Multiple managers have overlooked Michy and even though Giroud was decent yesterday, he needs to be managed game-time wise. Abraham is still my preference for Leicester on Sunday. We need to sign a new striker but Tammy is a positive for the club this season and without him, we would have two standard options to choose from up-front.

Outstanding penalties from Mount Barkley and Jorgi. Poor pen from Tammy. Gutted for him. But good performance overall and if anyone had any doubts, this will have dispelled them. This is a refreshing team able to pierce any defense!

Has been a refreshing performance after Sunday. More good than bad. Liverpool may mot be full throttle but this Chelsea team is giving their all and looks to be able to break through any defence and create chances. Need to finish one

Alarming to lose 4-0 but I am going to stay away from the overreaction on here. Good pressing but also left open spaces in midfield for Pogba, Rashford, Martial to run at. Emerson, Kova, Barkley shut down the left side more or less but the right side concerns me. Pedro and Azpi struggled, and Jorgi on the right side of central midfield did not help. We need to tighten up for sure. Kante on the right will help. But anyone writing this season off will be in for a surprise I think. When Reece, Rudi, Kante, CHO, Pulisic are starting instead of Azpi, Zouma, Jorgi, Pedro and Barkley, there will be a different sort of energy in pressing and we will be much more solid.

Abraham had a decent game. Not too disappointed. Giroud or Bats would not make so many balls stick that Abraham managed to today. Needs to sharpen and also manage to turn defenders and have a run but he is the best we've got this season to lead the line. Batshuayi has had multiple chances and has come off as a clumsy striker with zero awareness. Why not give Tammy a run? What better time than this season anyway. Giroud is clearly the sub because he offers nothing in pressing

For one, Giroud didn't start in pre-season and two, Abraham's movement and pressing is better for a game at Old Trafford where United will be pushing up and trying to press our midfield and defense. Barkley mostly will start ahead of Mount but I'd love a fresh faced front 4 with Pulisic, Mount and Abraham

Barkley was good. Mount was better and adds much more energy in pressing.

I'd like to go with Kepa Azpi AC Luiz Emerson Kante Jorginho Pedro Mount Pulisic Abraham Barkley Giroud as options to come on. Barkley would be a great option to throw on against teams tiring in the second half
